Michael Huff rumored to be soon cut by the Raiders. He has not played well, but he is a first round talent who sort of got thrust into a bad situation. Given the Bears tenous safety depth chart, this would seem to be a low risk move that could pay dividends. (assuming he is evenually released)

I don't know how much more my nerves can take of watching Kevin Payne inexplicibly hurting other Bears after diving on piles or Craig Steltz running as if his hips are layered in concrete.

Warrick Dunn released - Bear interest???

Dunn seems to be pretty much exactly what we need, a change-of-pace back, with real productive experience, who would be willing to play "2nd fiddle" to the younger Benson. Link

According to this article in the Indianapolis Star.

He has experience in the defense and with Tank out, Dusty an unknown and Adams more of a back up, Simon makes a lot of sense for the Bears. Also, since Simon has played 2-gap during his career he has experience engaging the center and guard at the same time, which would be more than welcome with Harris shooting his gap and getting up field.

This should be done.

If Irons falls..

After trading away Thomas Jones the Bears created a draft or post draft signing need at tailback. We have definitive needs at outside backer, defensive tackle, offensive guard/tackle, and now HB.

Because guards can generally be found at the end of the first day and early on Sunday, I think we need to get a back using our third or fourth pick. One intriguing guy to possibly could be there with some luck is Kenny Irons from Auburn.

If Irons falls and we could get him, this is my Utopian first day

 Paul Posluszny - LB

 Tank Tyler - DT

 Kenny Irons - HB

 Josh Beekman - G
