I have a friend that was recently in a very bad car accident. He has been in a medically induced coma for a couple days now. He also broke some vertebrae. He is having major reconstructive surgury tomorrow on his face.  He is a amazing tennis player and recently signed his letter of intent with Texas Tech. His tennis accomplishments are long but some examples are winning an ITA tournament, winning the Texas  Grand slam doubles, and is a 5 star recruit. has reached an agreement with the Texas Rangers for the 2009 season and so avoids arbitration. The terms weren't announced but Jamey Newberg said that as a part of his contract he would donate a sum to the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation. The Rnagers have settled all their arbitration since Lee Stevens in 2000. The Rangers have only one case left with Marlon Byrd. Also the signiging of Melhuse may be precedent to trading one of our catchers to NY or Bos.

I have never been to Fanfest but I should be able to go this year. I really want to get autographs and I was wondering if yall had any pointers or what I should expect. Also, what items should i get signed if I'm not planning on selling it. I will probably on be there for different bits and pieces cause I'm in a tennis tournament. Any info would be appreciated.

Michael Young has said that he will move and play third base for the 2009 Texas Rangers. Definatly good news for the Rangers who can move into the season without that distraction. I think MY is proffesional enough to not to poison the clubhouse. I still think we need a stop-gap instead of rushing Andrus to the Majors. Maybe we can focus on getting Ben Sheets now instead of wasting money on a third basemen.
