The Chargers confirmed the signing of veteran kicker Nick Novak, who has converted 13 of 20 career field goal tries for the Redskins, Cardinals and Chiefs. Starter Nate Kaeding continues to rehab the groin injury he suffered in workouts before the Pro Bowl.

Guess Nate is not doing that well.  Competition is also a good thing.

Rumor has it that the Chargers may trade WR Chris Chambers to the Jaguars for DT John Henderson and possibly a 2nd round pick.  

LOVE Chambers, but if they can get this deal done, I think that would pretty solidify who we are going to take with the 16th pick.  ILB with the first pick, Donald Brown with the second if he's still available?

Thoughts anyone?  Henderson is a BEAST and could easily fill Igor's shoes.

Rivera promoted...

WOW!  Didn't think it would happen, didn't think it would happen at all.  How happy are we?

Can't wait to see what Rivera does.  Should be interesting right?  Rivera came to learn the 3-4, let's hope he's got some creativity in applying pressure. 

Some consolation for a horrible first half of the season.

I don't know why I continue to read his posts, but it's the same thing every time.  Anything he can to bash the Bolts.  And his Power Rankings?  They make ZERO sense.  http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/powerrankings  He may be one of the biggest Charger haters around.
