Freelance writer, blogger: somewhat of a keyboard for hire.

Spent some time as a newspaper copy editor and beat reporter after retiring with 20+ years in the U.S. Navy.

Much of my professional writing career has been in the field of sports, particularly motorsports. But, I also have experience writing technical documents for federal and state agencies, and have a broad range of interests and personal experiences.

I've lived in the Midwest, East Coast and West Coast of the United States, and while living in Italy I had the chance to travel through Europe. I'm a father, grandfather, son and husband; my Navy career included a variety of assignments afloat and ashore. I've often joked the only things I didn't do in the Navy was fly a jet or navigate a submarine.
