Adam Kennedy has been traded to the A's, according to MLB Trade Rumors, for a player to be named later. He was with the AAA Durham Bulls.

CC Sabathia is Going to Be A Yankee

Well, in what might be GREAT news for the Halos, CC Sabathia will sign with the Yankees; so says the New York Post. Now they should be able to sign Tex, however, he is now leaning towards the BoSox.... We'll just have to see if the Halos get shut out of all of the top free agent signings. The best pitcher now on the market is definitely Peavy, however, it looks like he'll go to the Cubs.

Well, it's good to be back....finally, both in my house and watching games/online again...Big News Below....

My blog has basically died, not enough time to do it right, so, if anyone wants to help write it, I'm open to any contributors...it's a non-paying gig, but, it also is free, since I'm paying the hosting, etc...

On a separate note, we need to do a HH "get-together" to consume adult beverages, see what everyone looks like, and, more importantly, take in a game together so we can vent in person. Let me know what looks good, reply here...also, we might turn it into a little going-away thing for someone too...

Okay, so, here's the deal, it's about time for a start of the season get together, what do you think?

Yes, now that the season has started again, and I'm still alive after almost 8mos of living with my in-laws, it's about time for a Halos Heaven "viewing party." Anybody have a suggestion for when/where/preferred opponent, etc...?

WBC ruined Colon???

It's obvious that everyone, including Mike Scioscia, is towing the MLB line about the World Baseball Classic, he won't say that it hurt Colon at all. Colon's stats from the WBC were:
14IP, 1R, 13H, 2BB, 7K, 191P, 107S, 3G
for those of you that are counting, thats a measly 0.64 ERA, and 1.071 WHIP
In addition, his current personal trainer is of "questionable" background and was the Puerto Rican team's trainer as well.

We're confirmed...for tomorrow, at 6:30 for the 6:40 game. If you haven't sent me an email confirming, let me know, I want to have enough space for everyone. We're meeting at Danny K's in Orange. We're looking forward to meeting everyone, it's always entertaining to put a face to a name. In addition, if this goes well perhaps we can do it once a month, or so, if people are interested.

Been talking with HeyLegacy about this idea, of a meet-up for drinks, food, typical tomfoolery at a sports bar somewhere in the OC while the Halos are out of town. I will "volunteer" to handle the "logistics" of getting the place alerted, etc.... The dates we were thinking are:
Tuesday June 20 v. San Francisco or
Friday June 23 v. Arizona
