A.P. ProBowl Skills Challenge
Whats up my fellow band of brothers. Some of you have seen me comment here before, and probibly think i am abit bi-polar at times..lol. I havent been diagnosed with a condition yet, but my wife assures me that my Chiefs addiction isnt healthy. I've been warned here a few times (earned every one) and i've been rec'd here a few times as well. I believe Cassel has the class, attitude, and ability to win us alot of games. I believe that Haley was a rookie, and rookie's typically get embarrassed their first year in the league. I believe Pioli will make more good decisions that bad ones, and i believe with the new coordinators we have on the team... might actually get a prime time game this year. The offseason is the Kool-aid drinking time for me. Past few years, that has only fueled the fire once the season starts and all i got for Christmas was a dead hampster in a Wii Box...hahaha. I dont usually post, just because i might seem negative and iam not a real stat type of guy. Which leads me to my idea for this post. Since there has been some post recently about some of the everyday contributors here at A.P, and most topics are extremely well discussed.....why dont we try alittle friendly inside competition....Maybe i should paragraph here.
Take your pick
While we got a minute,..... who knows what happens behind the NFL doors on draftday, but alot of things just dont make sense to me. And to be honest about it, things havent turned out to good for us in the past 4-5 yrs. Am i crazy or could this draft have went alittle differently. Somewhere we lost focus. Iam not a expert but if it was me this is how i would have went through so far.
TEAM A
#3. Tyson Jackson, DE, LSU : Big strong guy, disruptive, heavy draft at that position.
TEAM B:
#3. Euguene Monroe, OT, Virginia: Big OLineman ranked #1 on some boards, nobody's trading, safe pick to protect Cassell and have him and Albert reunited.
ALT PICK: M. Crabtree, WR, T-TECH: soft hands, pure athlete, set records in TD receptions, and since we gave away great hands to charity, this could be the guy to go up and get the ball in the endzone.
TEAM A:
#67. Alex Magee, DT/DE, PUR: Another big guy, good motor, team motivator. Teams heavy at that position.
TEAM B:
#67. Ramses Barden, WE, Cal-Poly: 6-6, 228, decent speed, good hands and plenty of upside.
ALT PICK: #67.Luiz Vasquez, OG, T-TECH: 6-5, 333, could fill in for the potential Waters departure. Ton of upside with good pass protection.
TEAM A:
#102. Donald Washington, CB, OSU: pure athlete, 6-0, good speed with some decent potential.
TEAM B:
#102. Victor (Macho) Harris, DB/S, VTECH: tough guy, big hitter, not as fast but will do well reunited with B. Flowers.
ALT PICK: Lawerence Sidbuy Jr., DE, RICH. Good story, tons of upside, great motor with ability to make plays in space.
This is all with no trades of any sort. Iam sure Pioli tried to trade opening day, but it didnt go his way. I just hope they didnt get mad and give up. They immediately signed Cassell for alot of money as if to say, there done after the #3 pick. Like i said, iam no expert, but what would you do?
Chiefs Nation Poll...thats no lie
While we have a minute before the draft...i wanted to share this short story with everyone. Just the other day, as iam getting ready to tee off on the 1st hole of my local golf course. A guy ive never met before asked "so who's the Chiefs fan?" He had spotted my Chiefs bag, driver cover, wood cover, and putter cover. Of course all of my buddies pointed to me, and he walked up and began explaining his die hard Chiefs addiction. Note now, that we are in Virginia, which doesnt normally happen. Every now and again, I will see a license plate or license plate holder that reveals another brother in arms, and i always toot my horn. Anyhow, me and my new buddy started to share our excitement for the upcoming season and approval of the new regime in Kansas City. It always makes me feel good to talk Chiefs football with another dedicated fan. He explained his affiliation with the Chiefs and how his dad was always a Chiefs fan as well as a Royals fan (uhhh). We only had a few minutes to enjoy the conversation, but i did make it a point to tell him of AP, and how it was the best place to find Chiefs information as well as just general NFL news. He had never heard of AP before, but asked me again about the name before i continued down the fairway. The point of this story is, there really is a Chiefs Nation out there that share the same love for the team in red and gold as we do. I thought I would start a poll and just find out the limits of our brothers. I want everyone to know that WHEN ( not if ) we make it to the big game, there will be a Sea of Red stretching all across this country and possibly other continents. Iam sure other teams have similar situations, but we are different and you know it when you run across someone with this team's passion. Keep up the great work with the site, and polish off your Chiefs gear because its going to be a great year win...lose or draw..

We win from this all the way around..
With Cutler not going to Detroit, that almost locks up Stafford to go #1 in the draft. But now leaves Shanchez...Bronco's need him, but so does the Jets, Bucs, San Fran., and maybe Jacksonville. Bronco's have no choice to move up, the rest will be trying to grab him before denver...which puts us in great position. Don Pioli will smoke this like a pack of Kools. This has to be the best offseason ever....lmao.
In Pioli We Trust...."The right 53".
The Pelican Brief.....
I really dont like the Pats, but with the conservatism they maintain its hard not to..atleast respect the management. It seems as if they hold a certain amount of family values, where if you leave the family, they will turn their back on you. For example, the whole Mangini no handshake thing. Mangini went to the Jets which is a N.E. rival. Bill won that battle by far wouldnt you say...Next come McDaniels....stayed in the A.F.C. and was way too "wet behind the ears" to take on the title of "Big Boss" of a organization. So with Bill's knowledge of McDaniels immaturity, knew he would want Cassell...he did... and someone leaked the information to the media, causing the distruction of denver. And then there's our Don Pioli, you can tell by the events that followed that he was very much apart of the crime family in N.E. This means great things for us Chiefs fans, but almost bet he doesnt go anywhere near Bill's territory. McDaniels, on the other hand has started putting two and two together and is alittle upset that his name, career, and team is going down like panties on prom night. Iam guessing the young lad will start a behind the scenes war with the Pats by sending Cutler to the Jets for less that expected compensation....only makes sense after the Cassell and Vrabel trade. Thus giving Bill a hemorrhoid hes has to deal with twice a year....This is all speculation ofcourse, but makes perfect sense to me, and iam sure we will see more evidence as the season goes on....
