WTC: San Jose Sharks "Team of the Decade"
Let the debate begin
No Mitchell on Wednesday
Most likely Edmonton on Friday or Vancouver on Sunday
Also: Boyler missed his 2nd practice, but might still play Wednesday
NHL Center Ice Free Preview

Starting tomorrow (October 2nd) there will be a free preview of NHL Center Ice for multiple providers. The NHL Center Ice free preview will end on October 24th. So far we know that DirecTV, Cablevision and Comcast will be having this free preview but we guess that others will join in as well.
Brad Lukowich placed on waivers...
Puck Daddy has a whole list of waiver action, but none Sharks related. We'll just have to wait for a WTC update.
Friday's Game to Air on 98.5 KFOX
Dan Rusanowsky and Jamie Baker are back on the radio tonight with their live broadcast of the Sharks preseason game against the Anaheim Ducks.
Sharks fans can tune in to 98.5 KFOX at 7:00 PM for the pregame show and 7:30 PM when the puck drops at HP Pavilion.
Heatley for Michalek, Cheechoo and a second round pick
It’s official:
Sharks get Dany Heatley and a 5th round draft pick.
Ottawa gets Milan Michalek, Jonathan Cheechoo and a 2nd round draft pick.
Chicago not involved.
More later.
Roenick left mark on NHL
This is pretty much what I heard during the golf tourney over the weekend (one of the announcers said that JR told him that he was probably retiring; that his body couldn't take it anymore).
Bummer, I was hoping he had one more season left.

Best Player Nicknames (Advantage: San Jose)
That's all well and good. San Jose has a defenseman named Douglas "Crankshaft" Murray and Marc-Edouard "Pickles" Vlasic. Any team that has nicknames that can either work in G.I. Joe or pornography is a big win.
. . .
Seriously, how is it that no one here mentioned that before?
WTC: Live blogging and Twittering
Pollak will be live blogging from practices, and Twittering with 30 minute updates from his blog or the news.
Here's my video (from Section 223) of Jemery Roenick's speech after the 4/9 Shark's game.
One More Year!
Marleau, Clowe likely to play tomorrow night against Phoenix
the lines shaped up like this:
Marleau-Thornton-Setoguchi
Michalek-Pavelski-Clowe
Moen-Goc-Grier
and various combinations of Shelley-Plihal-Lemieux-Roenick on the fourth.
Marleau won’t be in lineup this weekend against Anaheim Ducks
I think I'm more OK with the decision for this weekend than I was when I first heard that he'd miss the Canada trip. If we're playing well, and other folks are getting healthy (Blake and Goc are back, Plihal will play this weekend), why take any chances?
FTF at the 4/4 game
So, who's going to the game on Saturday?
Any plans for getting together before/after/during the game?
