Trevor Barnes at the RCMB mocked up this picture to show the size difference between the old video board and the new one going in. It apparently will be the fourth largest in the NCAA by square footage once it goes in.

Draymond Green and Brandon Wood Named to Big Ten All Tournament Team
Alongside Sullinger and Thomas from Ohio State and Andre Hollins from Minnesota. Green was named Most Outstanding Player.
I can't help but feel Thornton was snubbed there a bit.
Big Ten Tourney Bracket Challenge: And Thou Shalt Be Rewarded For Thy Faith
Congrats are in order for nallington, who scored a challenge winning 21 points. nallington picked all games in the quarterfinals onwards correctly, and obviously took the Spartans to top the Buckeyes earlier today. (Side note: AWWW YEAAAAH) nallington only missed the Iowa and Minnesota picks. And congrats to runners up as well, it was close. Your top performers above the fold.

Big Ten Tourney Bracket Challenge: Semi-Final Edition
Ohio State's victory clears some things up in the tourney challenge that is serving as a warm up for the big one. It's now becoming clear who's leading and who can win.
If you believe I have made a mistake, let me know and I'll check your total against your entry in the original thread.

Halfway Done: Big Ten Tourney Bracket Challenge Through Six Games
Okay, so now we've got something interesting here. We're running into a lot fewer people (three) who have picked everything right so far, as the win by Wisconsin has surely junked a lot of picks. Your leaders before the jump, the rest to follow. If you think that your total is wrong, I'll check my spread sheet against your entry in the predictions thread.

The Semi-Official Big Ten Tourney Bracket Challenge: Your Leaders Through Day One
What's the point of a contest without horse race style coverage?
After day one, a clear group of leaders emerges as just nine people picked both Iowa to beat Illinois AND Minnesota to beat Northwestern (though perhaps NITwestern truly more appropriate now). Everyone else picked Indiana and Purdue to advance.
I present your top performers through day one:
| Contestant | Points |

The Unofficial Big Ten Tourney Bracket Challenge
(Bump -- no longer prizeless, I'll throw in a random MSU prize I find on eBay for the winner. One entry per person please. -- Pete)
It's March, which means we all must feed the compulsion to fill out brackets. Sometimes we do so with a hope for winning some sort of prize, despite the fact that casual viewers of the sport seem to do quite well even compared with big fans of the sport. This is not that time. Well it wasn't before, anyway.
Other times, we fill out brackets for the hell of it. This is that time. Just eleven games to pick, but with 12 teams that we're intimately familiar with. And perhaps the BTT does mean something this year given that the conference ended in a three way tie (or maybe the #4 team Wisconsin will further muddy the waters by pulling off an unforeseen title) and that there are several teams that are dangerous enough (Iowa, Illinois or Minnesota) to steal an auto bid. Northwestern is seeking to secure a bid with a win or two.

The Onion: Sports Media ask Molestation Victims about Joe Paterno's Legacy
Very powerful point about where our focus as a society ought to be at this time. May not be a comfortable read for all.
Two PSU Officials Resign amid Scandal
"Penn State athletic director Tim Curley requested to be placed on administrative leave so he could devote the time needed to defend himself against perjury and other charges, university President Graham Spanier said. Gary Schultz, vice president for finance and business, will step down and go back into retirement, Spanier said. He declined to comment to reporters after the meeting."
The Behind the Scenes Fight between Jim Delaney and Mark Hollis
Given the source, and the high number of anonymous sources, I cannot say I know any of this is true. I believe that at least some of it is.
No matter that, this is definitely an entertaining read.

Excellent speech by Cousins, and definitely makes me glad he's one of ours. Jim Delany declared this possibly the best player speech he's ever seen at Media Days.

Ohio State Five will remain suspended for Five
This is of particular importance to us, since we are scheduled to be that fifth game. One small advantage we may have going into Columbus next season.

They can win the title for themselves by beating Ohio State on Thursday night at home.
It's already been decided: OSU will be facing Arkansas in the Sugar Bowl
Poster "Giant Moose" finds pictures of OSU-Arkansas merch in the Sugar Bowl's image directory. FYI, this is the same poster that broke the news about the rebranding effort.

Rexrode: Chris L. Rucker will be out of jail on Thursday
"Chris L. Rucker will be out of Ingham County Jail on Thursday. He's been in since last Thursday, after a plea agreement that knocked his operating while intoxicated charge down to reckless driving.
Rucker ended up getting a 10-day sentence and two years of probation, to run concurrently with the one year of probation he received in March. He got a day of credit for the night in jail he spent after his arrest, and another because each week at Ingham knocks a day off a sentence.
MSU has no comment and no update on Rucker's status today. Mark Dantonio has his weekly news conference Tuesday."
Poll Dancing: MSU #5 in Coaches' and AP Poll
I expect MSU to make it to 3 or 4 in the BCS standings, as the computers have been high on MSU so far this season.
Your Midseason All-Americans
Phil Steele's in headline, SI's list is here.
Both have Greg Jones First team AA. SI has Conroy and Bates as Second team AA. Phil Steele also lists Conroy as Second team AA, as well as Trenton Robinson as Third team AA.
Greg Jones is your Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week
[Bump. --LVS.]
Jones has earned a split honor earlier this year. This also marks the seventh consecutive week where at least one MSU player has won a player of the week honor from the conference.
Stanzi is your OPOTW, Gilreath is your STPOTW, Rob Henry is your freshman of the week.
Head asplodes: Narduzzi named National Coordinator of the Week by Rivals

This is an unbelievable turnaround after taking so much of the blame for last year's mediocre season. Let's hope this continues and it's not just a fluke that the D has improved.
He who shall not be named to Announce at Michigan-MSU game
I can't believe he hasn't been banned from entering the state after what he did to the Lions.
