Will Horny fix Marshall's broken shot?

The Phoenix Suns rookie head coach and rookie point guard (I know) might just end up butting elbows.

Hornacek responsible for Aaron Nelson!

Joe Proski, the Suns original head athletic trainer who, on Hornacek’s recommendation, hired Aaron Nelson as his assistant.

NBA coaching search for kids

What if you suddenly needed to explain the NBA coaching search situation to a bunch of kids? We've got you covered.

Alex Len to the Suns (despite fake name scandal)?

With the fifth pick in the 2013 NBA Draft the Phoenix Suns select...Alex Len? Sure, why not. He's big. He's mobile. He's big.

An NBA Draft Lottery conspiracy theory for every team

Phoenix Suns: "Why is Robert Sarver carrying around that designer handbag? And why is there a glitchy film cut before the ball hopper is started? My God, did Sarver sneak loaded ping pong balls in via his wife's handbag? His wife must have told him to bring her back the No. 1 pick in a designer handbag ... interesting ..."

Babby has his good luck charm picked out

"My grandson (Josh) is playing on a T-Ball team at age 4 so he's got a little baseball card. I got him to sign it for me so he wrote his name on it. I'll have it in my pocket," Babby said. "I don't know if he's good luck, but I always like having his picture with me, anyway. That will be my good luck charm."

MERCURY: Griner, Dupree Lead Mercury Over Japan

For the Phoenix Mercury, preseason games are about three things: staying healthy, fine-tuning plays and/or sets on both ends of the floor, and getting into a rhythm heading into the season.

Griner will be huge, but can she make WNBA big?

The anticipation of Brittney being Brittney has produced Mercury season-ticket sales that have already surpassed the turnout the year after the team’s 2009 championship run.

Brittney Griner’s arrival has Diana Taurasi buying hype, for once

Diana Taurasi can be salty and cynical. She’s allergic to hype. Her candor is uncompromised. These traits make her original, lovable, a Valley favorite and occasional marketing headache for the WNBA.

Is Babby lucky?

The Phoenix Suns announced that President of Basketball Operations Lon Babby will represent the team at the 2013 NBA Draft Lottery.

Suns leading the way!

Gillespie pulled out his Samsung Galaxy tablet and called up a video clip from the first quarter. He was able to immediately show his players what their opponents were doing so they could make quicker adjustments during the game. [...]The Suns became the first NBA team this season to outfit both players and coaches with tablet computers for use on and off the court.

Ryan McDonough new Suns GM!

The search is over! The rose has been handed to Boston's Ryan McDonough to replace Lance Blanks as the new Phoenix Suns General Manager.

Suns waiting on Hill?

As the Suns go through their rolodex of potential candidates for the GM to replace Lance Blanks, we now get a report that Phoenix wants to give Grant Hill a chance at the job.

Gambo poops on Sarver sale rumor

From a source close to Robert Sarver...but yeah, it's not like Sarver has said things and then done other things in the past. We'll see how it plays out IRL vs on Twitter.

Sarver selling? Weltman for GM job? Wow!

Ric Bucher is no longer ESPN's version of Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski but that doesn't mean he's not still well-connected in NBA circles and his reputation as a reliable pro gives this recent rumor more significance. And boy, did he drop some i

Barkley on the Suns GM job

"I don’t know Lon [Babby] and I don’t know Robert [Sarver] that well. Robert has always treated me good, but the notion that I will let Lon and Robert tell me about basketball players that’s not going to happen. I can tell you that right now."

GM Candidates List!

The GM search began this week with the Suns considering Milwaukee assistant GM Jeff Weltman (a finalist in 2010 when Blanks was hired), former Indiana Pacers GM and Arizona graduate David Morway and former Lakers assistant GM Ronnie Lester. Assistant GMs Ryan McDonough (Boston), Wes Wilcox (Atlanta) and Troy Weaver (Oklahoma City) are potential candidates too.

Phoenix Suns want general manager who will save franchise

Babby lays down the law for Suns

Phoenix Suns President of Basketball Operations held a press conference to discuss the dismissal of GM Lance Blanks and where the team goes from here.

Could Grant Hill be the savior?

Now that Lance Blanks has been shown the door, the Phoenix Suns begin the process of finding a capable leader to rebuild this proud franchise from the ashes. The initial list of names is very intriguing.

Great article on athletes and taxes

"I never expect fans to feel sympathetic about it," O’Neal said. "We should pay taxes like everybody else. We should pay more because we make more. I voted for President Obama, but I knew his focus was to come after people like myself. The majority of our country is struggling. If you have to pay more taxes to bring down the deficit and spread the wealth, I’m all for it. I’m blessed to make a lot of money."

Kobe down, breaking Suns hearts even in injury

Kobe Bryant is human. This fact has not been scientifically proven via MRI, but even Kobe himself believes he was brought down by an injury to a tendon named after the only weak spot on a great mythical hero, Achilles.

Garrett back to Jame for playoffs

As expected, the Phoenix Suns announce that they are sending Diante Garrett back to the Bakersfield Jam so he can play in the playoffs. At least somebody on the Suns roster will get some playoff...
