I graduated from Wake Forest in 2009 with a degree in Economics. I currently reside in Denver, CO. Keeping up with Wake Forest sports isn’t the easiest thing to do 1500 miles away from campus, but I do my best to purchase every extra sports package known to man. I also have a WF fathead in my office, that about says it all if you ask me.

ACC Finishes
Not to get too excited here, but Wake has a chance of finishing the season winning 2 of 3 (or 3 of their last 5). They even have a chance to finish 8th in the conference. Personally, i would be pretty happy with 5-11, 8th/9th place finish as a building block to next year. 5-11 is nothing to celebrate, but it is better than 1-15 and is a positive step in re-building this program. Enter the super 6, including backboard shattering Devin Thomas, plus UPPERCLASSMEN on the roster for the fist time in 2 years. Looking better all the time.

Looks like Buzz knew what he was doing all along. Wahington and Roundtree are both just outside of the top 100, the 28th SF and 18th C are ranked 99 and 100 overall.
Gabbert to Wake?
One of the spring's enjoyable storylines was the quarterback competition at Missouri, which is up for grabs no more after Tyler Gabbert's apparent decision to transfer. "It's actually one of those things where you're taking a leap of faith," Chuck Gabbert said. ... "It's one of those things where he's looking for a new start and a fresh start." That search for a fresh start will begin with the numerous places that heavily recruited Gabbert as he was coming out of Parkway West. That may or may not include Nebraska, where Gabbert, like his older brother, initially committed. Or it could include Louisville, where family friend and former Nebraska offensive coordinator Shawn Watson now is. Oregon, Iowa and Wake Forest were among others who pursued Gabbert before.

Moore at Patriots Tryout
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- As is the norm at this time of year for many NFL teams, the Patriots had seven players in for tryouts. This is a way for teams to keep their emergency lists fresh in the event of injury. The Patriots also have one open practice squad spot, so they could be looking in that direction as well with some of the workouts.
The players in for workouts were:
G Thomas Austin (Clemson)
P T.J. Conley (Idaho)
WR Lance Long (Mississippi State)
WR Kenneth Moore (Wake Forest)
QB Keith Null (West Texas A&M)
P Hunter Smith (Notre Dame)
WR Paul Williams (Fresno State)
