Anderson headed to the DL. So far this has not been the good hire that I hoped it would be. Granted hindsight is 20/20 and it is early in the season, but I wonder if the money spent on Anderson wouldn't have been used better in resigning Ohman (especially with all the lefty hitters in our division). I am fairly confident that B. Jones and Diaz would have been just as good and Jones probably better defensively (can't be any worse). Hopefully we see some return on our investment in Anderson this yr.

Greinke

This article makes some interesting points, though I wouldn't give everyone Shanks mentions especially Flowers. Like he states, Peavy is a legitimate no.1 ace, while Greinke is a potential, plus 4 or 5 yrs. of Peavy with just 2 of Greinke is no comparison. Drop it to Escobar and Hernandez and Reyes with them giving Greinke and maybe another A-ball or rookie ball prospect and I would be satisfied. I am not worried about the SS vacancy as some are, Furcal may come back, and yes some may say it will cost a lot, but the Braves seem willing to spend money again, so who knows. Renteria just does not play well in the AL, so maybe a return to a comfortable place rejuvenates him again. One last note, I would want to lock Greinke up to an extension before the trade went through. Thoughts?

I just wanted to share with ya'll the newest Bama fan. This is our first, a baby girl named Ella. She is already planned to join the 2027 Alabama cheerleaders. Born 6:50 pm in Cheyenne, WY. No Poke fan here, Roll Tide all the way. She will be brought up with the full knowledge of the history and tradition of the greatest football team ever. Hey Bammers, I live in Wyoming now, and I had to pay the devil and get ESGP so I can watch the games this year. I do get to fly back for the homecoming game, which for me I could care less who they played, just going to a game is a treat when it involves Bama. Anyway, due to the lack of Bama football on the news, crazy I know these westerners are going to be indoctrinated quickly on THE greatest team in college football, I can only browse the internet to get anything. Thank God for RBR, Tidesports, and AL.com. I was curious if any of you heard how the following players are doing: J. Harris, A. Lawrence, D. Bolton, T. Love, G. Harbin, M. Maze, B. Gibson. I have heard little to no info on these guys, and didn't know if any of you had heard anything. Thanks from the Pokes state.

I have never seen such bad luck on one team. Granted the season has been over for awhile, but I can't remember a team with so many injuries, players not playing to their full ability, errors, and now bereavement. If I didn't know better I would say someone put a curse on us. Hopefully next year we can shake some of this terrible plague and have a great season. I wonder though, should managers, coaches, and trainers be held accountable for any of this? Your thoughts?
