D Coordinator

Well one of our first replacement ideas for the Schwartz leaving to coach the Lions is off the market today. Gregg Williams was just hired the the Saints to be their d-Coordinator. Which is great for the Saints because believe it or not there is talent on that D. Just injuries and a bad coordinator kind of overshadows that. I'm sure Fish has other ideas of what to do and who knows, the Schwartz might not even leave. Thoughts?

Well I've got sorta good news, it looks like Kerry Collins wants to be here. I just read an article on ESPN about him stating that and it gave me hope that we can sign him and big angry Albert this offeason. I think Kerry would take a pay cut to stay here and have the oppurtunity to start and I really think thats good for Vince too. Thoughts?

I just turned ESPN on and Sunday Countdown was on and they were doing a video package thing on Deangelo Williams and Johnathon Stewart, and what was the theme? Smash and Dash. That is just terrible, LenWhale and Flash have been Smash and Dash since week 3, those two have one good game on Monday night and they get that catchy nickname? Unforgivable lol.

View from Detroit

I was at the Thanksgiving Massacre and wanted to share my first Titans experience here. It was easily one of the better days of my life so far. It's really something to see your favorite team live. And that Detroit crowd is something else. Some of the most depressing people you will ever be around. Usually when you go to a sporting event there is some sort of buzz around the arena and at Ford Field there was none. It seemed as though the people were there because they had to be. And as soon as things started to go south they were heading for the exits. So really about the first minute and a half lol. There were also a TON of Titans jerseys in the crowd. When they were introduced they were semi cheered. No boos at all really. And they werent all just VY jerseys and old McNair jerseys. Haynesworth was represented very well, Cortland, the Boom King, i even saw a Kevin Mawae jersey. Of course for some dumb reason 2 Peyton Manning jerseys reared there ugly heads...i dont understand that at all. Also during the game i was talking to some detroit fans behind me for most of the game about where Detroit is going this next offseason and we were throwing names back and forth about who might take over as GM. Out of the blue one of the guy taps me on the shoulder and says "Tell me about Floyd Reese." Personally with all the draft picks detroit has right now he would be a good fit to get the franchise turned around. He's had the job in this league before and i know he'd bring in a good head coach also. But i'm going to go before i start to ramble. The game itself was amazing, i loved seeing Tennessee run up a score like that and seeing Vince Young play was pretty cool, even if it was in limited minutes.

So I have tickets to the Lions and Titans Thanksgiving slaughter. My tickets are behind the Lions bench, fifteen yardline, 6th row. I want to bring a poster but im not quite sure what to say on it. I figure its Thanksgiving and we have two pretty overweight players in Lendale and Fat Albert so something can come out of this. Thanks for all your help. Oh and Go Titans and look for me on TV, i should be able to make it with my seats being where they are!

The Cowboys just released Terry Glenn and I think it might be a good idea to bring him and work him out to see if he's healthy or not and sign him for a year. He would be a great mentor to our young recievers i think and give vince a better option in the passing game. The Titans don't really have any veteran leadership at the reciever position as it stands and he could be a great asset. If he's healthy.

Ok i have an idea on what to fill this boring period with. We take the 16 games this regular season and break them down individually. each person can choose a couple and then post it here. I'll take the detroit game and the houston games. with division games all you have to do is break them down once because its essentially the same game. sound good? its' all i have right now to break down a horribly boring period

D-Line and O-Line Rankings

Cbssportsline.com is doing a thing where they rank different positions groups.

For the Defensive line group they said this:

Best player: DT Albert Haynesworth. Weak link: LE Jevon Kearse.

The skinny: Haynesworth was the best defensive player in the league last season before his injury. He makes everybody else better. Right end Kyle Vanden Bosch is a force who plays hard all the time. Defensive tackle Tony Brown is underrated next to Haynesworth. Kearse, who returns to Nashville, is the unknown at left end. Will he regain his old form? Second-round pick Jason Jones and veteran Bryce Fisher will provide nice depth at end. There isn't a lot at tackle.

Rating: 13

And the Offensive Line group:

Best player: LT Michael Roos. Weak link: LG Eugene Amano or Leroy Harris.

The skinny: In Roos and right tackle David Stewart, the Titans have one of the best tackle duos in the game. Roos has Pro Bowl ability right now. Amano or Harris will move in as a full-time starter for the first time, which is a concern. Center Kevin Mawae is still playing at a high level.

Rating: 12

The Number one overall defensive front was San Diego and the number one offensive line was Dallas. Should we be higher on any of the two? Lower? Just about right?
