My brother and I bought tickets on the small hope that Barry would see reason and decide to attend Saturday's festivities. I don't care how much money the organization had to pay him to get him to show, his goosebump-inducing threats made toward the Dodger dugout made me proud to be a Giants fan.

I took a few pics from the game.

Since I was on the East Coast for vacation for the week, I decided to brave the NY subway and head to last night's game at Shea. Lacking even basic common sense, I decided to shell out the extra bucks for premium seats, assuming that I'd be in prime viewing position for a dominating Lincecum performance. Clearly, I should've known better.

Fortunately, the Mets fans were nice, the atmosphere was electric, and the Jets fans were out in full force (wait, what?).

My pics are at the link below. Enjoy!

I've attended probably 10 games this year, and, as a testament to the sad state of home game affairs, haven't seen the Giants win since their first home series versus the Padres. So it was with great excitement that I walked home last night after the game, having seen not only a great win, but a great comeback win spearheaded by one of our young players. Vote John Bowker for more playing time in 2008!

But I digress. I had pretty good seats last night (Section 101, right behind the Tigers' bullpen), and I took some pictures. I've shared them at the link below.

http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2153789&l=5ccb6&id=26726

Giants / Rockies Photos - A View from the Field Club

My brother, being the kind soul that he is, bought us tickets in the Field Club for last night's game. Which meant we sat close enough to Gary Darling that he could probably feel the steam coming off of my head after he made that unforgivable balk call.

The other perk of sitting in the Field Club is that we nearly bumped into Brian Sabean as he was on his way to the press room after last night's game. Since I am a titanic coward, I didn't say anything to him.

Question: if you were me, what would you have said?

Finally: I posted a few pictures. I have 12.1MP versions - suitable for framing! - should any of you want a larger version.

Bengie Molina finally settles into his cleanup hitter role, hammering two homers to help the Giants win. Unfortunately, Brian Wilson hasn't exactly taken ownership of the closer role, and his shaky outing cost Tim Lincecum the win in an otherwise well-pitched game.

I had great seats down the third-base line for tonight's game, so there are LOTS of pictures of warming up pitchers. Let me know if there are any you'd like to see in full resolution (4000x3000, or 12.1MP).

Enjoy! This is it on the photos for now, probably until I head to Chicago for the Cubs / Giants series in July.

The Giants manage to lose another opening day (three for three this year). Fortunately, the weather was great, the ceremony was compelling, and the bratwursts were delicious. Hard to argue with that combination of factors, so the game was enjoyable despite the outcome.

Once again, I took some photos that I hope you all enjoy. I shared them using Picasia, so those of you with blocked Facebook at home should be able to see them.

The Giants finally squeak out a win in LA. Does anyone else think that if this team had any semblance of an offense and a vaguely competent defense (seriously, how long will we have to put up with Aurilia and Durham on the right side of the infield???), they'd be serious playoff contenders? The pitching this week - Zito included; aside from the first inning blemish, his start was fairly solid - has been outstanding. Hopefully our fourth and fifth starters will continue the trend.

Since I didn't have to pay for the ticket yesterday, I splurged and bought myself a great seat near the Giants' dugout. I've posted the pics again, this time at the link below:

http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2139791&l=2ff81&id=26726

At least tonight there was noticeably more orange-and-black amidst the sea of Dodger Blue. A friend of a friend of mine knows someone in Dodger ticketing that got us amazing seats for game two of this three game set. Once again, I took tons of pictures - if you're interested in checking them out, I've posted them (with my comments) at the link below:

http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2139564&l=24720&id=26726

Let me know there are any that you'd like to see in more detail (the Larry Bowa ones look great close up) - my camera takes photos at 4000 x 3000 (about 3MB .jpegs), and I can post the bigger ones if you'd like.

Judging by the small amount of orange and black I saw in the crowd today (that didn't say "Giants Suck", that is), I'm guessing that there weren't many other souls willing to brave the sea of Dodger blue and catch Opening Day today in LA. I guess it was for the best: Dodger fans are surprisingly accurate with their peanuts, I discovered.

I took some photos from the game. Since my computer battery is dying and I don't have a direct-link photo account, I posted a link to the Facebook album below. Enjoy!
