Our bench needs a SF and a SG. Metta won't cut it anymore and neither Meeks.

Kobe is not worth the money he is paid? He brings it every game, he is the one good thing that has remained constant in the team come hell or high water in the last 3 years.

I just want a beatdown of the Spurs next season. I hated it when they ended our 3-peat but I loved it when we killed them in '08 with Kobe and Pau.

well Kobe did it for half the season and Dwight & Pau are healthier now, so it'd be easier on Kobe.
Commented on Lakers-Spurs Open Thread on Apr 27 2013, 12:03a
This team just needs to get healthy and acquire wing depth to compliment Kobe and Nash and we'll be a legit juggernaut because Dwight won't be recovering from back surgery anymore.
Commented on Lakers-Spurs Open Thread on Apr 27 2013, 12:02a
I have no doubt, Spurs would get beat in 5 or 6 by us with Kobe.
Commented on Lakers-Spurs Open Thread on Apr 27 2013, 12:01a
The team that went 28-12 with Kobe, Dwight and Pau after the meeting in Memphis. In case you didn't notice we were hitting our stride finally but the injury bug struck and took away the Mamba.
Commented on Lakers-Spurs Open Thread on Apr 27 2013, 12:00a
Should never have been axed to begin with. Blame Brown for that. He never let him develop either after he had that mini-run where he was scoring 10+ ppg ...
Commented on Lakers-Spurs Open Thread on Apr 26 2013, 11:58p - 1 reply
Honestly if we had Kobe, I have no doubt we'd make the WCF ... comeback next season with better depth and win the title.
Commented on Lakers-Spurs Open Thread on Apr 26 2013, 11:57p - 4 replies
Dwight wasn't healthy for majority of the season. Need wing depth, new starting SF and we'll be fine.

Metta has been a big disappointment. 0-6 just won't cut it. The amount of open looks he gets and doesn't convert is just frustrating.

I always said that Glock can develop into a fine scorer but his height really hurts him ... But if he can find a way to score consistently that's all we need as a back up guard.

If only Glock was 4 inches taller, he would definitely have a future in the NBA sigh

Commented on How the Lakers are gifting the Spurs the series on Apr 26 2013, 5:21p - 1 reply
Yes he's hurt but even when healthy he has been too inconsistent. That's not going to work anymore with Kobe aging and suffering a major injury.
Commented on How the Lakers are gifting the Spurs the series on Apr 26 2013, 5:19p
Dwight was suppose to be the game changer on D while Kobe, Nash and Pau took care of offense. We've been robbed of both this season. It was just Kobe mostly playing out of his skin that kept us afloat.

with Kobe going down, Pau is not going anywhere. Lakers simply need to acquire wing depth to ease the load off Kobe and Nash next season.

10-12 player rotation only works if the team is healthy and you have depth. The squad constructed as is was still 10-deep with quality players.

Utter BS comment, don't know what games you've been watching since the Memphis meeting. MDA has adjusted very nicely since then despite never ending injuries.

I'm sick of people constantly blaming everything on MDA. And what's even more irritating is when they think that he has done nothing to adjust to the team personnel.

Lack of continuity due to multiple injuries in the team is a major factor for that.
