There's some bad sh*t happening in the locker room. Look at thiis vide. From 2:14 to 2:18 you see Laundry walk past an Amare handshake. Watch Amare and Baron Davis.
I am all Lin.
Why I believe this is on the coaching staff. Entirely.
First of all let me just state that I apologize for the Shotty bashing. We fans tend to have a herd mentality and when we raise our ire at a particular coach we tend to lose all reasonableness. Willie Randolph was the last example of this behavior by NY fans, including me.### Patterns ### Every attempt at solving a problem begins with a diagnosis. We have seen the symptoms. It happened last year. We know that gnawing feeling in the stomach. It's like waking up in the morning, realizing the Jets could be out of the playoffs, and having the same feeling as if I had wrecked my car the night before prior to going into the tank. Sucks. ### Back to the lecture at hand. Patterns are the first area to consider when solving any problem in any field. Pattern establish factual boundaries for the process of problem solving. ### In broad terms, the pattern I see on this team is a hot streak followed by a collapse of the offense for a series of games highlighted by mindbendingly awful performances by the QB. ### If the pattern holds, the team will regroup, will beat Pitt in Pitt. And will mount a serious run. ### The thing that I note about this is while the QB has been the same, many different key players have come and gone. Most everyone agrees the team is upgraded from 09. So why does the same pattern emerge? ### That is what leads me to think that the pattern is rooted in the coaching staff and the dynamics between each other - a subject I know nothing about. ### So I don't "blame" anyone. I'm saying that what I saw last year was Shotty being benched after those awful games, and Rex saying he would take more of a role in the offense. And guess what happened? ### I don't think Rex Ryan is neither willing or able to coach an offensive unit. Ideally, he should be a defensive specialist. But I have no problem with him as the chief. But I think the problem lies in how Rex and Shotty relate to each other and how Sanchez is affected by this dynamic. I say this because Mark's best drives are when he is in control. ### They have to change this dynamic. Either fire Shotty, or give Mark more ability to call plays because Rex ain't goin anywhere.
Mets fan here. I am a bird watcher and a photographer. This cardinal looked like he had been in a few fights, and I thought he looked pretty bad-ass. Thought you folks here might like it.

I am officially starting the Brad Smith for QB club
Enrollment is open. I see absolutely no downside to this. Sanchez is the worst QB in the NFL. I would rather have Jamarcus. Yah I said it. Smith has started at QB for four years. Sanchez won't have four full years in the NFL as a starter. he will be a number 2 or 3 in 2 years. We can do it now, or do it after failing with Brunell and the other guy.

A truly epic scenario is developing in the AFC
IF the Ravens beat the Colts AND Gang Green beats the Bolts, we would be looking at the Meadowlands hosting the AFC championship. That matchup between the Ravens and Jets would be incredible in regard to the connections between those two teams. The two best defenses in the NFL, both constructed by Rex, battling each other for the Conference title. Not saying it's going to happen, but if it did it would be epic.
Brad Smith college highlight film.
I am a huge fan of Sanchez, (although I supported benching him during that horrible period). But if Brad Smith were to get 20 touches - even direct - I would not be disappointed.

Welker hurt.
"Welker helped to the sideline after his knee buckled making a cut. Head in a towel, he looks upset. This is bad news for the Pats"

I find it difficult to understand D'antoni and how he handles players
Last year it was Marbury. This year its Nate. Why does this coach freeze out players? I understand there are plenty of arguments to support Mike, but the one thing that is troublesome is how the individual careers of these athletes are affected. A average NBA dude is going to have 8 or 10 decent years. If you are in the prime of your career, and find yourself sitting for the better part of a year, you have bypassed a significant portion of your productive capacity. I wont even address the contract issues; I'm only raising the issue of a man's productive potential. Seriously, if you wash your hands of a player in the middle of a season trade the man. Let him play. Free Nate!
