You'll NEVER guess where Ovechkin's goal ended up...
Caps Road Crew March 21st in Carolina. Indecisive meets creativity. I'm pretty sure it was Laich and Fehr's numbers on the sleeves.
Holtby to Hershey?
If Neuvirth is actually injured, then it could happen...
The Montreal goal wasn't #1? The Buffalo goal wasn't #1? Either of em could have been, but #1 is pretty legit.
Saw this over NHLOL. I can't tell if it was made this week or four years ago, so please excuse me if you've seen this image 50 million times before.
Do you remember Caps goalie prospect Maxime Daigneault? Because it looks like ESPN doesn't remember him either.
The article that sparked this letter to the editor:
"Imagine my shock when I saw your declaration (Stimulus Needed) in reference to Sidney Crosby, that "the Penguins have the best player in hockey." Had I missed the Washington Capitals' trading Alexander Ovechkin to the Penguins?" - Steve Davidson, Washington, DC (One of two Caps fans in the 'Letter to the Editor' segment in this week's Sports Illustrated)
The Bears were down 3-1 and again 4-2, but came back and Aucoin scored as time expired in the overtime period.
Philly iced the puck and the Bears touched it with less than five seconds left forcing an offensive zone draw.
Aucoin wins that and the puck lands on his stick after Giroux's shot is blocked.
New Alex Ovechkin top 10.

Yeah I know the video is old, but Alex Ovechkin got called for diving, so I thought people should know what a REAL dive looks like.
More Capitals mutants, shamelessly stolen from Tim Phillip's facebook photo album.
Cool custom jerseys I saw in the metro. I probably should have asked for a picture, because as soon as the flash went off, they both turned around and gave me a "WTF??" look. Oh well... More pictures of the game at my site, great win tonight Caps!
P.S. Anyone else spotted these guys before?
Big hit by Capitals prospect, Stefan Della Rovere... Followed by an amazing goal by John Tavares.

Montreal Canadiens: A Little Cold Eh?
Not sure how well circulated this picture is, but I stumbled upon this one on Christopher Higgins FB page.
Smart Maple Leafs
Toronto's Lee Stempniak (Dartmouth) and Dominic Moore (Harvard) both attended Ivy League schools...Other active NHLers who attended Ivy League schools are included but not limited to: Jeff Halpern (Princeton), Christopher Higgins (Yale), and George Parros (who would have guessed that he attended Princeton?).
The Ohio State Connection
Capitals center David Steckel is one of many Buckeyes in the NHL...Steckel played at Ohio State from 2000-2004. In his senior year, he played with Sean Collins. Collins was recently re-called, and could make his NHL debut tonight. Collins played from 2003-2007 at Ohio State. Taking Sean Collin's place in Hershey is Johann Kroll. Kroll played with Collins at OSU and was there from 2004-2008.
