Pounding The Rock Pictures from final Summer League game; my hackish recap.

Today my life long devotion to the San Antonio Spurs fandom and a $28.00 ticket allowed me to attend the final game of the 2010 Las Vegas Summer Leauge. The Spurs avoided blowing a big lead and pulled out a 78-64 victory. That last sentence has "GIGGITY" written all over it. Follow me after the jump for some award-winning worthy pictures and not much else. No all-access, no interviews, no perks, just pure awesomeness.

Interesting. Could the Spurs be inquiring in trading up in the draft?

But Derrick Favors meeting with the San Antonio Spurs is interesting, especially when the New Jersey Nets have been floating that they would consider trading the third overall pick for the right kind of veteran – Tony Parker anyone?

LatinD is still a celebrity. Some other cool links also, including a break down of the pick-and-roll, WVATS/Coach Bud style.

Pounding The Rock Loserday Loser Thread - Welcome to Loserville, Losers.

The San Antonio Losers, er, Spurs have got us all down in the dumps lately, pun intended. Let’s try and take our mind off of suicidal thoughts and focus our attention on the other teams in the league who really deserve it, like the Nets. Tonight we have 11 games on the schedule, starting with the New Jersey Nets @ Cleveland Crabaliers. Later on tonight we have DAL @ DEN and OKC @ POR.

Pounding The Rock Drew Gooden to the Spurs?

Yahoo sports is reporting that Sacramento has agreed to a buyout with Drew Gooden, thus freeing him to possibly sign with your one and only San Antonio Spurs.

OKC and Joe Smith have also agreed to a buyout, but it looks like he will sign with the Cleveland Crabaliers.

What say you my fellow PTR'ers?

Here is the link.

Pounding The Rock A preview of things to come?

Watching the NBDL Finals on NBA TV, Mini-Spurs v. Idaho (No, u da ho). Anyone else watching/watched? Does everything the Spurs touch turn to gold? Ian and Barrett look good. Ian playing hurt, what happened to him? Overall, the team is looking good.

Who else do you think is worth bringing up next year? Whoaaa, Darvin Ham sighting! He left his gig at NBA TV to play with the Toros? WOW! Dayum, Randy Livingston is still playing? Wasn't he suppose to be like the next MJ or something like that?

Anyways, thoughts on the mini-Spurs? Is Quin Snyder taking Pop's place when he retires? He is buddy-buddy with R.C., so you never know....

Pounding The Rock Rivalry?

What constitutes a real "rivalry"? To be considered a rival, you should at least have won a NBA Championship. Or maybe even a Conference Championship i.e. Dallas Mavericks. But then again, when you pull off two of the biggest choke jobs in the history of modern sports, in consecutive years nonetheless, you and your fans lose all rights to talk trash. For eternity. I just don't understand how Dallas and Phoenix and even the media consider Spurs vs. ____ (insert your team name here) "rivalries". Please! Boston vs. L.A in the 80's, L.A. vs. Detroit in the late 80's early 90's, Chicago vs. no one in particular, Lakers vs. Spurs in the new millenium, now those were rivalries as both teams had already won championships. Phoenix can't even get past the conference finals! So what do you think? Am I right or am I right?

I understand how these teams and their fans hate, loathe and despise us, it's pure simple jealousy, no other way around it. They've never won jack chit, we have. They can call us a one horse town, but it's a big beautifully groomed horse, a Clydesdale if you will, while they are stuck riding around on their donkey, burro, jackass, all one in the same. And when I say hate, loathe, despise, I say it as the biggest understatement ever. I've lived in the DFW area. I've been to games in Phoenix. These people take hatred to a level I never thought existed!

But surely, I digest, we'll let the 4 rings speak for themselves. Sorry for the long post. It's late and I just had to let off some steam. The Spurs make me want to go to the casino and gamble all my money! First time post-er, long time viewer.
