Congratulations to the Pitt Panthers for a sold performance today against Syracuse.   I keep trying to put a Pirate starting lineup together in my mind.  Sure is a difficult job.  Maybe we should go back to the Bob Prince "animal nicknames" for the players system.  Maybe ownership would keep them around longer if the players seemed more warm and fuzzy.  It's hard to do when the players aren't here very long.  Playing here is like being on a continuous road-trip - never really unpack.  But . . .  time to end the negativity !!!   This year we will get to know the names of all the players AND scare the league!

In Miracle on 34th Street, FAITH is defined as "believing in something when common sense tells you not to."  Here we are again.  Another season down in the City of Some Champions.  At least ownership is positively making money.  "Fans" continue to buy and spend in the hope that . . . what was it we hoped for this spring?  But Pitchers and Catchers will soon report . . . then, the position players . . . then, the best will be traded . . . or will 2010 be different?  Let's Go Bucs !!!
