While he presently has no official job title, Weems will be working in player development as a skills coach. One thing he expects to do is work with players headed to the team's new D-League franchise -- the Dakota Wizards. He'll accompany players and work with them while integrating them into the system.

"I will be sitting behind the bench, rather than on it," Weems said. "I'll be in a suit, but I won't be yelling at the refs!"

Jerry West "When your team hasn't won for so long, everyone on the roster should be available...that's not what they're(warriors) gonna do"

Golden State was in such buyer’s mode Thursday that the $2 million sent to the Bobcats for Tyler as the No. 39 pick was actually the fallback. The Warriors, Lacob said, had tried to get another pick in the second half of the first round, likely at the going-rate cost of $3 million, which would have meant a second guaranteed contract after drafting Klay Thompson at 11. Nothing materialized, Lacob told NBA.com, because potential trade partners wanted players in return, not money.

"We would have done that as well if we felt that we could get a player wanted," Lacob said of spending the $3 million. "Look, we’re not here to screw around. We’re here to make this team better, any way we can, whether it be the new medical doctors, training staff, coaching staff, general manager, Jerry West, dollars, players. We’re going to get there and we’re not going to stop. I’ve tried to say this over and over and over again, and people are going to start to see it here. We are going to do everything possible to give ourselves every chance to contend."

During the hour-long (meeting between Ellis and team management last Thursday) he did make it clear that he didn’t want to be around for the meat of his prime if Golden State’s new ownership group was no more committed to making the roster better than the old regime. He did say that if the team wasn’t doing any better by the trade deadline next February, he’d like to be sent somewhere where he’d have a chance to compete. In the meantime, he’s all in with the Warriors and Mark Jackson, who reportedly has called him twice already to insist he’ll be on the roster next season." - David Aldrige

#11, that's where he got picked at so he choose it. I'm guessing.

This is a long-shot but Adrian Dantley as a assistant coach for GSW would be a good hire.

I do think he can play the point because he has great strength and he can pass the ball very well," adds Cassara. "I think those things are really going to help him transition to that position." - Coach Cassara of Hofstra

"One thing that separates me from a lot of other guys is I don't force things," he says. "I know I'm not going to get there and finish over a guy like Dwight Howard, but I have a pull up jump shot that I can rely on and I'm a great passer which a lot of people don't really know. People see my scoring numbers and that's really all they see, but I'm smart enough to know the ways I'm going to score there." - Charles Jenkins

Warriors get Jeremy Tyler & Charles Jenkins in 2nd Round.

JVG said it on the air. Ownership bought the pick. Also, got a underrated pg in Charles Jenkins.

Jonathan Givony has the Warriors taking Kemba Walker with the 11th pick. Unrealistic but interesting. Kemba would be a terrific addition off the bench.

The Knicks are hoping Biyombo drops to them at 17. That's unlikely, so they're exploring moving up. May have to jump ahead of Warriors at 11" - Draftexpress

Hmm, Warriors favoring Biyombo with that 11th pick?

Myers said he wants Monta to stay and see what Mark Jackson can do w/ him because Ellis was never held accountable with previous coaches. I think the Warriors want a big guard in Alec Burks or Klay Thompson to come off the bench and help Curry & Ellis.

From what I keep hearing, GSW wants more than Iggy in exchange for Monta. PHI needs to sweeten deal (give up Lou Williams? Take Andris?)" - Gswscribe via twitter

"Joe Lacob is flying to San Antonio on Wednesday to interview Budenholzer. And if Lacob is going to the Alamo to interview him, Budenholzer is must be a serious candidate." Yes, maybe J-Ridah is right! Haha, my day just got better!

I think the warriors will draft Chris Singleton. He is a defensive stopper, and he can guard multiple positions. Singleton is a 6-9 SF with a 7'1 wingspan. He was DPOY in ACC. A NBA comparison would be Tony Allen.

Another option for our pick. Josh Selby is young, very athletic, and has potential. He can be the 3rd guard off our bench. He's very explosive and can change the paste of the game. Also, he has the athleticism to be a good defender.

Don't we have a 2nd round pick from the Suns this year? We should look to snatch David Light Scotty Hopson, or Keith Benson with our 2nd round pick.

If the warriors don't get Budenholzer, I want Brian Shaw. He would bring young exuberant energy the Warriors need. Also, he fits the bill as a coach that can grow with the team.

I hope Monta works this hard in the off-season and is disciplined. We always never hear that much of Monta working on his game in the off-season. I hope he just didn't lose his passion for the game and moved on to things like music.

I miss Ammo, we should have kept him. He's a gym rat and brings it 100% every night. He could have been useful off the bench!

Monta interview with Chuy Gomez about his music. "Started Back in 05 when i was projected to go high, [explicit] start laughing. Mama start crying. I told her stop crying your son still grinding, left the streets behind me, the haters couldn't find me, now the same suckas wanna be around me, but i was so focused." Monta's verse starts at 2:05.

I'm another supporter of drafting Kenneth Faried, he rebounds like a beast, shot-blocker, intimidator on defensive end, plays his heart out, and has freakish athleticism. Statistics: 17 ppg, 14 brds, 2 blks.
