Hey tebow bandwagoneers..
This notion that tebow will carry our team on his back is idiotic. He's not worth a 4th round pick. I just puked in my mouth after reading bernie19kosars stupid rant about how tebow beat the steelers. The guy plain throws like a girl. Honestly he would be better taking hills' spot. Bernie19, get a grip. If you want a spark take Richardson at 4 and wright or hill at 22. A lot of talent where we need talent can be found in round 4.thank god b19k doesn't work for the team
Am I the only content Browns fan?
How often in years past have we watched the Browns play the Steelers or the Ravens and we would think to ourselves we really have no shot! I have watched everygame since DirecTV came out with the Sunday Ticket and I have to say that the last few games of the season I felt like we were as good as each team that we played.
I find it really hard to believe how much whining goes on about Heckert and Holmgren. Maybe this is my eternal optimism that I have had since my first season as a browns fan in 1980 when I was 8 years old. But let us take a look at what we have done draft wise. in the short time H and H have arrived. I believe we have hit some real home runs.
Joe Haden has real cover skills despite not having any interceptions this year.
TJ ward. I love Ward but he seems to really have let off the gas since getting fined for laying out Jordan Shipley. He is definietly ferocious and hopefully he continues his rep as a hard hitter.
Jabaal Sheard. Complete animal and I think he will be on of the top ends in the NFL years to come.
Phil Taylor. Hes got game. He may have evened out for a couple games but he came on strong the last few games. Seeing him run with the ball against Houston was priceless.
Greg Little also came on strong at the end. I think we needed to cut him some slack after not playing in 2 years. I think he has a bright future.
Buster Skrine was a real gem in the late rounds of last year. His 4.29 40 yd dash helped keep wallace in check that last game.
Colt McCoy. Im not sold on Colt at all but I have no problems with taking College footballs winningest QB with the 72nd pick. Not a waste of a pick by any means
I dont see any real weak links in any of their picks in the last 2 years. Injury prone Hardesty maybe, Owen Maricek maybe. Compare that to the picks of the previous couple years and we are doing really well. If we dont keep Hillis I say we draft Richardson and if we do keep Hillis I think we can take Blackmon.
And how about Chris Gocong. Since the day he signed his extension with us he has played like a monster. I dont mind our 4 and 12 record because I think we had a good year....Maybe not in the win loss column but what could you really expect. A new Offense and a New Defense, new coaches and no real training camp. I think the only thing Holmgren did wrong was keep mangini (and sign Jake Delhome) for the extra year, then again how do you fire someone on a 4 game winning streak. At least his pride didnt get in the way of letting go of DelHomme or Mangini.
We are in the toughest division in the NFL. All you haters out there talking like you know more than Holmgren or HEckert. Time takes time. It will come!
Someone please tell me what I am missing
Why is it that Chris Obannmama or should i just say #25 who played his first game with us put up twice as many YPC than Hardesty. I understand he is a 3rd down back and I realize I am not a coach. I just do not understand our logic as a team. I feel like Shurmur trys to prove points rather than play the hot hand. #25 was explosive yesterday and we should have seen more of him. Cribbs is dynamic everytime he runs the ball so why does he hardly touch the ball. Hillis is a beast aand plays his best when he runs 25 times a game yet how many times has he carried the ball 25 times this year. Colt seems rushed every time he drops back, i like Colt alot but he doesnt seem to have an ounce of poise in the pocket. I really like what H and H have done with our defense and the direction we are headed seems very obvious. Our defense is young fast and tough. It would have been nice to have kept Roth but what do i know. Anyway Im just venting. The holes in our team seem obvious to the fan yet not obvious to the coach.
In a search for a coach.....What about Rob Ryan???
I am wondering if Rob Ryan is being considered a candidate for head coach. I love Rob Ryan, I think the players love Rob Ryan. I don't see him as someone that would kick a field goal on 4th down when were down by 14 to our rivals. Is he in the mix? Did he interview with Carolina. Does anyone have any ideas or has anyone heard anything about Rob Ryan this week? He did say it would be "dumb as hell " to fire Mangini. Hes probably a little pissed.....Anyone???

Mangini Supporter or Not!!!!! Hats off to Tom Heckert!!!
I have to say that Mangini really grew on me over the last year. Maybe because I am so accustomed to having losing seasons. I liked Mangini, Loved Rob Ryan and Hated Dabol. I have read a lot of varying opinions today, that
The Plight Of Peyton Hillis
I did a post a little while back on Hillis and alot of you said he cant block, he cant do this or that, he wasnt the right back for our system etc. I just wanted to say in actuality he does all those things very very well. This guy is an absolute monster that blocks awesome, runs with the velocity of a freight train and has hands as good as any receiver in the NFL. As a lifelong Browns fan this trade (thought it was reallly hard to see quinn go ;>) has made up for both the drive and the fumble. Thanks again Broncos fans and dont make excuses about him or you coach or your system. McDaniels screwed up. Next stop for Hillis is the Pro Bowl!!!!! If you want I bet we would give you Jake Delhomme for BRandon Lloyd.....

Rob Ryan to take head coaching position....
I read an article yesterday that said Rob Ryan is now on the short list for a head coaching position in the NFL. I love Rob Ryan and to lose him would be a travesty. Granted he had a great game yesterday but the intensity and passion he brings to our team is unparalelled. This would absolutely suck. We need to find a way to keep him roped in. Actually lets just make him the head coach.
Calling all serious Broncos fans.....a very special thank you!!
You crushed us Browns in the 80s with the drive and the fumble. I have not seen a great Browns team since the late 80's. I am patient and loyal to my team to a fault. When they left Cleveland I couldn't even watch football. Finally 23 years later I feel like I got mine!
Yes I did get mine....Peyton Hillis......I just wanted to say thank you for Peyton Hillis. When you guys took Quinn from us I thought "has noone in the Denver organization ever seen Quinn play???? I youtubed Hillis and watched some great video from him just absolutely crushing people. I had high hopes especially after watching him in pre season. I put him on my fantasy team and the rest of the league thought i was smoking crack. I bet a friend of mine $100 that he would have more yards from scrimmage than Jerome Harrison.
Man this guy is a mack truck! SO thank you again.
My prediction is he goes for 1300 yards and 14 touchdowns, another 60 receptions and 600 yards(only because all of our receivers absolutely suck!!!!!with the exception of Josh Cribbs)
Anyway thanks again!!
harrison vs hardesty=hmmmm
i have to admit im a little confused on this topic. im reading all over the place that hardesty could start before harrison and to be honest this shocks me. Harrison showed true brilliance last year everytime he had a chance to shine....
Will anyone who has a second thought on The Browns QB situation please watch this video
I have been an avid Browns fan since 1980. Please watch this highlight video (the first minute or 2 is college and the rest pro...if you have any doubts about Seneca Wallace
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L7Elsegn4Zw&NR=1 This video is sure to erase your doubts. He has a strong arm, very accurate, deceisive and really runs well. He may be rounding 30 but he is unscathed. He was behind hasseleback which is why he didnt play. Let this video show you the MH certainly knows what hes doing. Seneca is incredible. People may whine about his heighth but he is the same heigth as Kurt Warner and scrambles much better. His arm is strong. I like Seneca to start on 2010.
all i want in april is Tim Tebow
I was reading another forum tonight and it had the stats of Tim Tebow. His QB rating for his career in college was 120. If we went by the way the nfl rates. Higher than manning and a whole list of top college QBS. Say what you will and I have not been a big fan of his but I think he has more potenitial than almost any other QB in the draft and I really dont like any teams from florida... I could see him in the 2nd round. Berry 1st if we can. Also I was reading what someone wrote here about Jacoby Ford from clemson so I youtubed him and holy @#$% is that guy fast...go check him on youtube he also has good hands.
Create a Browns player nickname game! Mike "I'm bound to make all Browns fans @"Holmgren!!!
In my last QB post I was completely amused with the names that everyone had come up with. I believe the name game needs it's very own thread. Here are a couple of my favorites so far;
Rex “I went home with that chick last night but wish I” Hadnot
Evan “throw the ball to me” Moore
Chansi “get rid of the T in my last name and that’s how you describe Braylon Edwards” Stuckey
_______________ for quarter back! (fill in the blank)
As a Browns fan since 1980 I think that we have been great when we had a great QB. This should be our top priority. Think about Brian Sipe, Kosar, Testaverde and DA in 07. This being said I do not think it is to our benefit to roll the dice on a draft pick I believe our top priority should be to go after a proven winner or someone who has already shown great promise as a pro. Now that Holmgren is running the show as far as the Roster and our new GM I believe that we will trade with teams other than the Jets..(although having Sanchez right about now wouldn't be so bad) That being said anyone who knows anything about Kevin Kolb would agree that he has a rifle arm with pin point accuracy and could by all means lead us in the right direction. Josh Cribbs is my favorite player to ever don a Browns uniform but that being said I would be willing to trade him for Kevin Kolb. Question is do they need a Cribbs when they have Desean Jackson. Maybe not. What about someone like a Michael Vick he would be great in the Dawg Pound!! lol .. I dont like rolling the dice on an unproven college QB.
a question from a Browns fan?
I was wondering why you guys gave up Roth. Now I have only seen him in a few games but this man is defineitley a monster
Mangini....hot or not keeping mangini? you decide
I couldnt stand Mangini in the beginning of the season. I bashed him to everyone. He is slowly starting to win me over. It seems like the team is on bored with some of his philosophies. While stoked on the Pittsburgh win KC and Oakland were indifferent for me.
this just in......yesnoi agree with siped Big Ben hurt after Browns game
he was found crying in the locker room. when asked what was wrong he said you get sacked 8 times by the hard hitting ever charging cleveland browns.....big ben is changing his name to big baby. We can now be confidnt that the run of the pitysburgh steelers is coming to an end. as a long time browns fan i get to look in the mirror and say to myself HAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA. On 12-10-09.....our defense destroyed ya. Cribbs ran all over the aluminum curtain.. what a wonderful fullfilling feeling. As a long time Browns fans I have just expected the browns to lose every year since they came back to the league.....it is nights like this when I realize we suck pretty bad....but the true reality tonight is that Pittsburgh sucks more!!!!! Go cleveland.......see you sissies next year!!! as they say here in Idaho....yeahhhhhh boisee
bring back the 80's & "a rutigliano superbowl team"!!!!
On the Browns website it says relive the 2008 season...why the @#$% would I want to do that. Maybe just the Monday night game vs the Giants. That was my superbowl!!
This Journey started In 1980 when I was 8 years old. I watched Brian Sipe pass for 4032 yards 30 TDs, 7 interceptions, on 535 attempts and 337 completions. I have no idea how I remember this...it took me 5 yrs to get through high school. I studied the stats like it was noones business. I used to tell my dad who to pick in the pools and he would win more than most!!! Those were the years superbowl or not. The best game of all time was Cleveland coming back against the Jets in the late 80's...Kosar was a such a rock star at least until the next week!!
Every year I buy the NFL package and every year I am let down. I will keep buying it though. I don't know how to get out of this bad relationship with my emotionally unstable team...
First off I would like to propose a toast. Thank God Kellen Winslow is gone. He was a Staph in the leg of Cleveland Ohio. WAH WAH WAH. I would like to recommend we send Braylon to spend a week with Tony Robbins...he is one of the most talented WRs in the NFL he just needs a confidence boost. Actually so does DA for that matter.. Screw letting DA and Quinn battle it out in pre season...pick your horse and place your bet. You want confidence out of these guys then show some confidence yourself.
What happened to Romeo in 08... What a sissy and I like the guy he just lost his "guts" this is football not field hockey.
It's a losing season...you have nothing to prove, your playing Pittsburgh and it is 4th down......you go for it. You go down swinging!! Keep the pride of the city. Keep the pride for me who has stuck with you since 1980 even when Cleveland left me for several years (I didnt have the heart to be a Ravens fan, I just stopped watching football) If Mangini acts like this we will start seeing signs that say "Mangina" .
We need to bring back the 80s. Seriously all these guys even in their 50's (with the exception on Don COCKroft. I would have been happier last year with Ozzie NEwsome over Kellen Winslow. With Kosar over any of them. With Mike Pruitt over Jamal, With the Ice Cube over...never mind that would be a stretch. Cribbs is the heartbeat of the team...Maybe he should be our QB. He could throw the ball to himself and run like hell.
