A current graduate student at Missouri State University, I am also an avid fan of the local St. Louis Cardinals AA team and 2012 Texas League Champions, the Springfield Cardinals.

The St. Louis Cardinals, Indianapolis Colts, and Indiana Pacers are the pro teams to which I swear allegiance, and for college sports I am a Missouri State Bears and Indiana Hoosiers fan. I follow the entire Missouri Valley and Big Ten closely.

Fred VanVleet was the field general for the undefeated Shockers, and the MVC has recognized him as player of the year. Two other Shockers join him on the First All-Conference Team.

UNDEFEATED!

They've made history, and you don't wanna go to war with the Shockers.

I, for one, Welcome our New Wheaties Overlords

Wichita State is dominating the Valley, and it's not even close. The Wheat Shockers have raised their game to a whole new level while the rest of the MVC is down.

Shockers Unwilling to Lose, MVC Collectively Sighs

The athletes may make the plays, but WSU Coach Greg Marshall is the one who orchestrates masterpieces on the court. His defensive adjustments at the half produced a 19 point comeback that...

Down In the Valley: Conference Play Power Rankings

1

We all expected the Shockers to be sitting at the top at this point, and we haven't been disappointed. There are some surprises in the middle, though, as Drake and Illinois State are better than...

It's Not a Shocker, but Wichita State Beats Vols

The Shockers were favored against Tennessee, but it was still a good win for WSU against an opponent that's given them problems in the past.

BYU and Wichita St Don't Play Finesse Basketball

+

When it came down to it the favored team won, but both teams left it all on the court as they fought for the CBE Hall of Fame Classic Crown.

Shockers "Headline" CBE Classic

Wichita State beat up DePaul in the first game at the Sprint Center, taking a dominant first half lead through the game. Next up BYU will be a more challenging opponent.

Down in the Valley: Early Impressions

It's a little early to draw conclusions or create "power rankings," but a conference picture is beginning to take shape.

Fantasy Basketball and Anthony Ireland

+

The Luck of the Ireland is going to win the MMM fantasy basketball challenge with a combination of talent, luck, and Guinness.

Mid-Major Conference Preview: Missouri Valley

The obvious headlines are WSU returning from a trip to the Final Four and the departure of Creighton. The reality is that the teams in the middle will be jockeying a position as the second Valley...

Academic Study: Colts Fans Some of the Most Loyal in the League

If you were to take the opinions of our dearly beloved leader Brad Wells (who I actually like quite a bit) as absolute truth, then you would believe that Indianapolis Colts fans are "fair weather"...

A Tale of Two Tournaments

2

St. Louis may be courting a different tournament, but that does not mean the Missouri Valley should be jealous.

Coach Porter Moser believes his Ramblers can achieve "something great" in the Valley, Commissioner Elgin and Valley fans hope he is right.

Shockers Add LeBron's Cousin

Greg Marshall adds Darius Carter to next year's team, continuing the trend of recruiting the best JUCO players in the country. Oh, ya, and he's LeBron James's cousin.

David Freese is "like a 13 year-old"

1

Collegehumor.com interviews David Freese and Jon Jay on "questions you would never think to ask, because they're not very good questions." Not very serious, but I find it fun.
