Could this address some of Anthony's peeves against the FO? Fingers crossed...lots more needs to fall into place for outright optimism, but this is a step in the right direction.

Sure, it's exhibition, and sure, it wasn't even against an NBA team. Still, it will be with some bitterness that I receive news of this guy's development. He would have made a great head start to the inevitible Nugs rebuilding process.

Either Ujiri didn't learn his lesson in Toronto, or he has no real authority. The Nugs (and all of us fans) will be suffering from the FO's indecision when Melo walks for nothing.

Could this get any more ridiculous? Get it done, folks. Can't wait to see Favors!

Can't the Nugs beat that? Should they try, given the flux of Melo's status?

Silver Screen and Roll Cook questions

Would anyone here care to comment on Brian Cook?  It seems that the Nuggets are going to sign him given their injury to Kenyon Martin.  I am curious to hear what those who actually have watched him play feel about him.

Denver Stiffs Looks like its Cook

Hoops World story here by Travis Heath.

I sure hope this pans out.  The article does not say if this will be a 10 day deal or longer, but I suppose that will depend on Martin's health status.

Cook has been a respectable shooter in the past, but he's only 6'9" and not known as a force in the post.  It seems that the plan is to use French Resistance to shore up the middle and use Cook to stretch the D.  Cook also knows tthe Lakers system, and familiarity should help him help us when we face them.

I've got my fingers crossed for Martin, and hope the time off and therapy he is receiving will allow him to return at the same level.  He's one tough mofo, putting up carreer numbers while suffering through up to this point.

Thoughts?

Mavs don't sign Dwayne Jones.  Thank goodness for that, they're stacked with bigs.

The Nugs should really take a look at this guy.
