An angry Redskins losing to Dallas 14-10 recap.
Kickoff: 8:15 PM Eastern at beautiful FedEx field, where the weather looks to be cold with a chance of miserable. Now the good news: Tonight's lunar cycle is the Waning Gibbous variety which, I'm...

I would add punctuation but what's the point? The badness of the field result was beyond question mark. My quick, no sleep necessary on this one thoughts: Don't blame the defense. We lost the...
Among guests on the show is some guy by the name of Will Allensworth of Hogs Haven. The interview was extremely brief and, on reflection, I think I call for a much higher score to tonight's game than is warranted by the respective strength of the two team's defenses. I guess I just had a feeling. Open thread will be up shortly*. * The term "shortly" is here loosely defined as some point before kickoff.
Bill Cowher was called by the Redskins for the new Head Coaching job but Jim Zorn won it, perhaps fortunately.
Nothing whatsoever to do with Redskins football, but I feel obliged to defend a statement I made, that Barry Sanders was the best RB in NFL history, summarily dismissed. DC Pain said it was Jim...
Kickoff is 1:00PM Eastern though unless you live in tiny pockets of Virginia or Michigan (though not Detroit, insanely) you'll need to find your way to a sports bar to catch the game. Which is...
Jason Taylor tries to fight through the lingering effects of his calf injury by hopefully playing this Sunday against the Lions.
"Oh yeah, I've thrown up on the field," Casey Rabach told me[, Dan Steinberg,] the other day. "That happens a lot, yeah. Guys puke all the time. It's funny when the guy across from you starts puking, that's the best part. Oh my God, so funny. You've never seen a player who puked on the field? It's pretty funny. The guy's sitting there puking in front of you, and you KNOW you're just gonna kill him the next play. It's awesome. Jansen, you ever puked on the field," he called out to Jon Jansen, one locker over. "Yeah," said Jansen, who was in the middle of interviews at the time. "I'll bet you everybody's puked on the field at least once in this locker room, definitely," Rabach concluded.
Casey Rabach and Jon Jansen via The Bog.Do you listen to any Guns N’ Roses? "Yeah, Guns N’ Roses! Axl Rose! Welcome to the Jungle, sure." You think this is an informed assessment of the situation from their former bassist? "I would have no idea. I don’t know how much he watches football or studies football." Do you remember any of their other songs besides "Welcome to the Jungle"? "Sweet Child of Mine. And … we might be about done."
TORB brief interview with Shaun Alexander. Alexander moves up notch in the mind of at least one GnR fan.via www.laughinggame.com NAW NAW NAW NAW NAW I'm just kidding nothing like that. But shenanigans nonetheless: Perhaps [Jason Taylor's] best feat was lacing my[, Colt Brennan's,] helmet and...

The Redskins and punter Ryan Plackemeier have agreed to terms on a two-year deal to replace rookie Durant Brooks, according to sources with knowledge of the situation. Plackemeier, who punted two years for Seattle while Jim Zorn was the QB coach there, was released by the Seahawks after one game this season, suffering through injury in the preseason.

"You know, we overlooked a team that came here ready to play. And me, honestly, we've been the underdogs since I've been here. And we came out with fight every game we was the underdog. Win, lose or draw, we came out to fight. So for us to expect St. Louis not to come out and fight, I don't know how we let them shock us like that."
Clinton Portis from DC Sports BogEven dogs know better: don't shit the bed. But we did. What this isn't is some NcNabb-like attempt at taking something away from the St. Louis Rams. They won. We lost, but our losing was...
