Anyone else think our schedule doesnt seem as brutal now?

alot of these teams arent performing very well right now

Remaining Games:

Oakland- We should win. Stop there run game, and apply pressure to Russell and we stopped there run game. And justr have a good consistent effort from orton. I expect a Win

Dallas- Will be a tough game. They have a great run game. Im not sold on romo. Gotta stop witten though. There defense brings the heat so hopefully orton is prepared for it. He did well against the browns blitzes all game so he should be alright. This game could go either way

New England- I dare you to name a starter on that defense who doesnt play d-line? These arent the same patriots. Bring the heat on Brady and make him rush his throws. Moss is still deadly Hopefully champ will shut him down. And let B-dawk patrol the middle and watch little welker. I think we can take them with this defense. They should be 0-2 right now. So i can see us taking them, Win

San Diego- There beat up. No jamal Willams, LT has lost a step and that defense isnt looking any good. Offensively we gotta watch sproles. The little man can fly. Also we have to stop rivers deep ball. Every game he throws a few to Jackson on a 20-30 yard slant route. If we can pressure phillip and control the clock and pound the ball and orton make some plays we will win this game. But considering we havent beat the chargers fairly in a good few years im on the fence on this one.

Baltimore- I see us losing this one. There d is nasty, they finally have an offense. It will probably be a low scoring tough defensive affair, but i see flaco beating orton. L

Pittsburgh. Another tough game. I think Polalmalu will be back. This one could go either way. We always play the steelers tough. And McDaniels has beat them alot in playoffs in recent years when he was with NE so he knows the formula

Washington- I see us winning this. I expect a game like we had against cleveland. Campbell isnt great and wont light us up. I love portis but his glory years is behind him. Still have to keep him in check though. But we come out with a Win.

San Diego- Like i said earlier, this could go either way. Hoping for a sweep!

Giants- I dont think there as good as MSM makes them out to be. I think our secondary can control there WR's. Have to stop Jacobs. But hes always dinged up at some point so he may or may not be playing in this one. But i do perdict us coming out on top on Thanksgiving! - Win

KC- They're terrible- Win, it is at arrowhead so have to keep that in mind, but these arent shanny's broncos so we WIN!

Indy- This isnt the same indy team who beat us in playoffs in the early part of the decade. While manning is still good he has limited targets. Wayne is good, but we have champ. Gonzalez may be back by then but hes nothing special and have to watch clark. But our defense wins us this one- W

Oakland- We beat them and russell gets fatter

Philly- Tough game, Late december game at philly so there crowd is going to be going crazy. Gotta see is McNabb is still able to move by then. Guy is always dinged up. But i could see us losing this one. L

KC-  Last game of the year so they will be playing there hearts out, but still they suck and we come out on top and take the divison!

so im predicting anything from 9-7-13-3! Go Broncos!!!

Chargers Jamal Williams gone for the year

Chargers placed NT Jamal Williams (triceps) on injured reserve, ending his season.

It's a surprise and a huge blow to the Chargers defense. Williams, a three-time Pro Bowler, was questionable for this week's game with an elbow injury. Knee injuries and his age (33) have slowed Williams down, but the Chargers still count on him for run defense. The only other defensive tackle on their roster right now is Ogemdi Nwagbuo.

Ouch. hes a big key to there run defense, good news for us when we face them. Teams should be able to run at will on them now. And they already have a shakey pass defense. And LT is banged up too, and there o-line is aswell!

Orton and Knowshon both playing

ESPN's John Clayton confirms that Kyle Orton (finger, questionable) is poised to face the Bengals on Sunday.

Clayton also says Knowshon Moreno (knee, questionable) will play, although he is not 100 percent and will play off the bench behind Correll Buckhalter. Orton is a worthy play in two-QB leagues, but that's about it.

Good News. Opening weekend  guys. Anyone else excited and nervous?!

Cant wait. Going to be a tough test today, but i see us coming out on the winning end! 17-7!

Also, Moss Baker Gorin Lloyd Kuper LeKevin and Barret are the inactives

Some early cuts

The Broncos have started to trim their roster down to the 53-man limit.

On Friday, the team released center Kory Lichtensteiger, a fourth-round draft pick in 2008, undrafted rookie linebacker Lee Robinson and running back Marcus Thomas. The team is also working on an injury settlement to release offensive lineman Matt McChesney, who didn’t play in Thursday’s game because of a sprained ankle.

David Harris and a first round pick

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the Broncos are asking for Jets ILB David Harris in any trade scenario involving Brandon Marshall.

Unsurprisingly, the Broncos have quickly soured on Andra Davis at inside linebacker next to D.J. Williams. The Jets are too thin themselves, and Harris too cheap, young, and good to part with easily. A trade is almost certainly out of the question if the Broncos want Harris and a first-round pick. Sep. 2 - 7:34 pm et

Why Broncos WONT trade Marshall; Also marshall straightning up?

Why The Broncos Won't Trade Brandon Marshall

Vic Lombardi

DENVER (CBS4) ―

I know a lot of Bronco fans clamoring for a Brandon Marshall trade. And reports out of New York suggest they might even have a willing partner in the New York Jets.  Marshall for a 1st round pick.

Well I'm here to tell you – not happening. Not this year.

Here's why: If the Broncos hold onto him this season and no collective bargaining agreement is reached, Marshall would automatically become a restricted free agent, which allows the Broncos to control his rights.

If the owners and union do indeed reach a labor agreement, Marshall could qualify as an "unrestricted" free agent, allowing him to go as he pleases. If that's the case, the Broncos could simply slap a franchise tag on him. And the going rate for a franchise receiver (according to several agents) is a 1st and 3rd round pick, minimum.

So why would the Broncos bite at the Jets offer? Just a 1st-rounder? Why not just hold onto Marshall for the season and then collect a 1st AND a 3rd at the end of the year? It doesn't make sense to trade him now, unless of course some desperate team makes the Broncos an offer they can't refuse. Are the Jets that desperate? Doubtful.

Also, I'm told Marshall is starting to see the light. (I know, I know, we've heard this before). But this is different. Earlier this week, Marshall extended an olive branch to Rod Smith. He's seeking Rod's help again. He's actually listening this time. Rod and Brandon have been working out together this week, working on the body AND the mind. That's great news for B-Marsh. He needs guidance in his life. And nobody can fill that role better than Rod Smith

Orton is fine

ESPN's Adam Schefter confirms that Kyle Orton's lacerated finger is unlikely to keep him out of Week 1.
The finger isn't broken and should heal quickly with scabbing. Denver is lucky because backup Chris Simms (high ankle sprain) remains out indefinitely

he'll be out a few days. Had my finger cut open like that before. Nothing bad. Hurts for a few days, scabs then heals. He'll be fine and practicing soon!

Kuper has only a high ankle sprain

August 31st, 2009, 2:11 pm · Post a Comment · posted by Frank Schwab

The Broncos needed some good news after a rough night Sunday, and got some when right guard Chris Kuper was diagnosed with a high ankle sprain, according to a source who didn't want to be named because the Broncos didn't announce the extent of the injury. The injury looked like it could have been much worse.

Kuper is an underrated member of a very good offensive line. He was the only guard in the NFL last year to start every game and not allow a sack. He was replaced last night by rookie Seth Olsen.

Kuper is a tough player - he broke his hand twice last year and played through it both times - so it's difficult to rule him out of the regular-season opener on Sept. 13.
