Red Raiders Win Golf NCAA South Central Regional Title!!
http://www.texastech.com/sports/m-golf/recaps/052210aaa.html
The best part is that Tech edged the defending National Champions, #2 Texas A&M, in the final round on Texas A&M's home turf. hehehe Way to go Red Raiders!! That's how you handle business against them Aggies.
Does anyone think we have a chance to bring home a National Title?
Yes, it's only golf. But at least one sport on our campus is actually doing something newsworthy. I just wish our Football, Baseball, and Basketball teams could perform on the same level.

Mike Leach @ South Florida?
I was flipping through the TV channels today and ESPN states that South Florida has contacted Mike Leach to be a possible head coaching candidate. I don't know how much relevance that information has considering it comes from ESPN but it does set up an interesting scenario.
South Florida fires their head coach for hitting a player that he denies, and now they want Mike Leach whom is alleged to mistreat Adam James (pending a trial). I guess some Administrators elsewhere around the nation already believe that Mike Leach has won his court case.
Thoughts?
Who should be Head Coach next year?
Instead trying to fight a worthless fight that is going to go nowhere considering Mike Leach was permanently terminated, I've already moved on and I'm curious what other people and other TTU fans think should replace Coach Leach as Head Coach?
Should it be Ruffin McNeil? Art Briles? Bronco Mendenhall? Sonny Dykes? Rick Dykes?
Or should we look at some of the past coaches of the NFL like Mike Shanahan?
Regardless of who it is that fills Leach's shoes, I sure hope this Administration makes a quick and GOOD decision in the upcoming weeks because it is going to be a nightmare for Tech if 80% of their 2010 recruits are lost because they were clueless as to who their head coach would be playing for this team next year.
I agree Tech Administration needs to make this Head Coach decision a good one to justify the wrongs they gave Coach Leach. If they don't, then this situation could get ugly not only on the part of Tech Administration but also how this situation effects EVERY student that is enrolled at that university.
The football program at Tech is by far the #1 way they receive funding for this school. If Tech doesn't figure out a way to fill those seats, then you know Tech Administration isn't going to think twice about raising our tuition.
I just hope that doesn't happen, otherwise I know chaos is going to break loose at Tech.
