This is an interesting article showcasing Weaver's Day/Night Home spits.

His Right Hammy tightened up in sprints this morning. The DL stint will likely be dated back to July 8th, when he missed his first game. So don't expect him back until the 23rd.

It was actually on Saturday, but thought I'd give a shout out to MIKE SCIOSCIA on his 52nd birthday.

Halos Heaven 2011 Angels Free Agents and Contracts

So I wanted to see how next season would shape up, what we can afford to do, and what we couldn't.  While searching for contracts, I found a good site that has all the contracts of every player in the majors posted.  I am not 100% sure if all this information is correct, so let me know if I made any mistakes.

Looks like Scioscia is switching up the lineup. Abreu batting 3rd and Hunter batting clean up.

Halos Heaven Speedy-man Line up

Today, I was thinking about what would be the fastest line up in all of baseball.  I thought about it for a while and managed to come up with a couple names.  Feel free to suggest any more.

After the Twins and Tigers have both won their games today to keep the race neck and neck, let's make some predictions.

Halos Heaven Bobby Abreu should be the lead-off hitter

.... according to baseballmusings.com

I discovered this little algo that takes a line-ups individual OBP and SLG to determine the most optimal way to order a line-up.  You can check it out here.

Now, obviously this is an algo that shouldn't be taken seriously.  So many factors like baserunning ability, plate patience, dead/rusty legs aren't taken to account.  But it's fun to fiddle around with programs like these.

Despite the fact that this algo has flaws, I actually agree with one thing they have there and that is putting K-Mo in the 4th spot would produce a bit more runs than sticking him in the 5th or 6th spot.  But as we all know, the 4th spot is reserved for Vladdy (or Hunter on Big Daddy Day offs).

Just thought I should share this with the rest of HH.  I would've tried adding Q, HGH, and Mathis in there just to see how things would work, but I think my guesses would suffice (and I'm lazy).

If someone already found this program and has made several comments/a fanpost about it, my bad.

Halos Heaven Newcomer to Halos Heaven

Hey, fellow Halo fanatics!  I just wanted to make a fan post introducing myself to the rest of the site.

First off, I know I've actually been posting on here for the past 2-3 weeks, but I never really formally tried to get to know anyone here.  One day, I just joined, then posted like I've been here the whole time.

Second off, I kind of want to make my presence somewhat known here because I plan to stay and keep posting for a while and hopefully provide something back to this site rather than the occasional comment/reply chock-full of dry humor (as fun as that might be).

Lastly, I want to feel involved and learn more about this team than I know now (history-wise, not so much).
