I am a member of the TTC, to be specific Cowboys Nation Syndicate (CNS). Today makes one year and I'm no longer a rookie. I'm pretty sure Grizz is CNS, Shango is CNS, I was wondering if there are any other TTC members here?
Also the TTC is mostly likely moving from youtube to Football.com because of automated flagging system. Football.com has been more than accomidating and is taking measures to change their website and features to please us.
Youtube doesn't answer their phone, Football.com picks up on the third ring, and you get results.

Doomsday III
This time it's a 3-4
Ok, I Smitty near lifelong Cowboys fan, am starting to see the benefit of a 3-4 defense. I concede also that it is beyond my ability to make one work in Madden(I'm a Cover2 guy), but I digress. I guess it took a couple years before I truly grasped what Phillips 34 needs to work, and why it didn't last year. I also think that Wade may have the ingredients he needs to make the defense work this year, and these are my reasons.
1. Rookies will almost surely yield someone that can contribute to the secondary and at linebacker(Mickens, Smith, J. Williams, or Hodge)
Our weakness at safety necessitated soft coverages to protect whomever was playing SS. Sensabaugh can cover and Jenkins or Scandrick is an upgrade over A Henry. Rookies can play in dime packages and in situations where their skills match particular receivers.
2.Phillips 34 is based on pressure forcing errors/turnovers, sacks are a by-product. Turnovers are what we needed last year that we didn't get. More edge rushers will create more turnover opportunities.
DWare is a known product, and a damned fine one at that but he can't do it all. If Spencer emerges we're probably witnessing Ellis' last hurrah with the Cowboys. OLB's with speed make this defense work, ILB's with speed make it deadly.
3. Our base DLine is solid, as a group they should handle the run. They aren't required to get pressure, any they get is a bonus.
If any area seriously concerns me it is DLine depth. Ratliff is something special, but even he wore down at the end of games late in the season. Unless Spears is planning to man the middle for signifcant snaps Ratiff will wear down again. Savaii, and Anderson do not impress me at all. Savaii is big, but that's about it, I can't say much about Anderson.
Doomsday III, will it work? I think it will, we saw glimpses of it last year especially against the Seahawks, and Giants. At this point I'd say that we have enough pieces to make the defense work. Given what is known about the draft chpoices, and what we already have it should be fast and cover well.... or at least better than last year.

How bad do you want it?!
As a loooong time Cowboys fan it is safe to say that I have become accustom to a fresh Lombardi shining away in the trophy case. It brings inner peace, and serenity unlike anything you're likely to find outside of Amsterdam. The reasons we all want it are selfish, and immature without a doubt...that makes me want it nonetheless.
I want the Lombardi next year more than....
World Peace
A Cure for Cancer, or AIDS
another form of government
true love
infinite wealth
spiritual certainty...(technically I already have that but I digress)
a brand new anything
Super Bowl tickets
a chance at shotgun murdering Jerry Seinfeld(it's a long story)
twelve toes(it would be a fantastic conversation starter)
a lifetime supply of RC Cola
a ride not in desperate need of critical maintainence
a smarter dog
a pair of shoes my dogs haven't chewed
directing a big budget Hollywood movie
having sex with two smokin' hot chicks at the same time
Winning a Sprint Cup Championship myself
bitchslapping Janeane Garafalo
hitting a three rail combo-bank shot (I've actually done it)
playing past day two in the World Series of Poker
pitching game 7 of the World Series and BEATING the New York Yankees(don't care who I play for)
playing lead guitar for Guns-N-Roses
discovering a new element
becoming president...of anything
leading an expedition to another planet and/or dimension
becoming an illusionist
working on a chaingang
inventing timetravel
leading the rebellion
rocking the boat
partying like it's 1999
singing the blues
laying down and selling out to the man
................................
Well you people get it, how bad do you want it?

Rodney Hannah?
I can honestly say I don't know much about him, other tahn he is tall, wears #44 and can't block for squat. Can anybody give me something on this guy? I saw a little bit of him in Shango's traing camp videos from last year(he can catch the ball). But other than that...zero, zip zilch, nada.
Matt Stewart got some love around here, how bout Rodney?
I neecded four more words...

Worst Draft ever....
For someone who is generally willing to buy into most stuff shovelled out of Cowboyland....I'm balking at this travesty.
Jerry Jones has absolutely lost his pea-picking mind. I swear he was trying to collect all the turds with a special "space peanuts" in them. He collected a group of nobody's and not quite's in vast numbers, and for what reason I cannot tell. I wouldn't give two squirts of pee for any of the guys we drafted...not one.
I will pay $100 to anyone that can explain the reason for taking 12 marginal at best players from the weakest draft in recent memory.
I am recommending that Jerry be immediately taken to a the nearest Gerintologist and tested for the onset of senile dementia.
We are being laughed at by everybody on the planet right now...and we deserve it!
If we take 4 of these guys into the season we are well and truly screwed.
I'm sorry about this...I had to vent.

Please stop....
As a 30+ year Cowboys fan, watching you guys pick apart the team, and especially Tony Romo is pretty disheartening. I know this loss hurts, but scapegoating any ONE player for yesterdays loss is just being petty. I'd suggest that you let the pain go away first BEFORE you analyze anything. Everyone is waaaaay too emotional right now, and looking too blame. I've seen everyone except Rodney Hannah thrown under the bus by a wide assortment of folk, both Cowboys fans, and not.
Yesterdays loss was the first total team effort(excepting Jason Witten) I've seen out of the Boys since Cleveland. They ALL collectively laid down and died yesterday, it was pathetic, and sad, but at least they did it together.
I only ask that everyone stop with the harsh indictments and let the pain go away first. Logical rational analysis is not possible in an overly emotional state, and everyone is still hurting, so please I beg of you guys, stop.
Being a fan of any football team you must realize that MOST season end in a defeat. I've been a fan since Super Bowl VI, and in the years since The Cowboys have been to the Superbowl 6 times, and winning 4 times. All the others season ended in heartbreak, and a lot of the same crass carping criticisms that I'm seeing today. Roger was always blasted for trying to "Do too much", and "scrambled his way into trouble".
If you can't deal with losing being a fan will drive you nuts. This years team underacheived, or maybe not. Talent alone isn't the only factor in winning, No one indivdual player can be blamed for the disappointment that was this last season, no one coach, not Jerry, not even God.
I'll be back for the next season, and I'll support this team. I'm not going to criticize, at this point it won't do any good. Fix the problem, not blame.

The legend begins...
I've watched this season with something distinctly more than detatchment. I live and die with each game. This has been a reoccuring theme in my "football life". My high school team has a reputation of being lights out during the regular season, but they always seemed to tank when deer season starts(they did it again this year). I've watch the Cowboys since Super Bowl VI( I was like three), and have seen all sorts of seasons good and bad. My ideal of the ultimate quarterback has always been...and always will be Roger Staubach. He wasn't perfect, but he always gave you the feeling that no game was out of reach no matter how far behind we got. Those 70's teams were talent wise not on level with the current team, even the best team Roger lead, but they had character. That brings me to the point of this post.
It has been my exeprience that those things in life most worthwhile were the things that were accomplished in the face of long odds. This season is revealing that this years Cowboys have heart, and are willing to do what it takes to win the Super Bowl. A lesser team would have folded under the huge expectations and mass injuries(I'm personally waiting for stigmata). Others still would have imploded with the never ending media indictments. Lesser coaches would have packed it in when everyone(except me of course) were calling for his head after emabarrasing losses(like the Rams game). It could have been real easy for this team to sull up like a possum and give in to the crass carping criticism of our detractors. But they haven't given an inch. Sure we have lost games we should have won(Cardinals, Redskins), but we have wons games we should have lost too(Eagles, Buccaneers). The price of glory is high, and this years Cowboys have that greatness within to overcome.
This is where we can all say, I kept the faith, I simply believed. No limitations on how we succeed. If we win every game by one point and get a Super Bowl win, YAY! I don't care how it looks to anyone else, I know that this is not just possible, but WILL happen. History is replete with stories of how great champions overcame the pitfalls and became champions. This year have shown me that the Cowboys are a legendary team with the ability to overcome everything that can be thrown at them. I see this as clear as the rising sun. Sunday night I saw OUR team stand up, and get a win when they needed it. They played as a team, and I said to myself..."This is where the Legend begins", with Tellus Bennetts TD catch I saw it, we are back.
Everyone is upset because we aren't blowing people out like last year. Well allow me to be the one to inform you all, last year is over. This year isn't last year, and I'm glad. We became complacent, and coasted to the end of the season. Then against the Giants when Wade tried to "hit the gas", and the team "vapor locked". Everything is coming together at just the right time. Our youngsters have all contributed, and now we have Tashard Choice assuming a bigger role(I've been waiting for Tashard to get more playing time). Mark my words, we WILL roll into the play-offs peaking. It won't be one signle player that brings us to the promise land, it will be the team as a whole. Players, coaches, front office, and yes even us the fans. We all have a role to play. As fans our part is to keep a strong vision of victory, and to not waver from this vision. The only thing that can defeat us is...well...US!
Thank you for allowing me to go off on a tangent, I've been saving this post for a while now, and I figured this was the most appropriate time to make it.

Favorite Redskins moment
Over the years, the Cowboys/Redskins rivalry has produced some of the greatest memories in NFL history. I have my favorite memory, and it started out a little something like this.....
"Happy birthday to you....."
The birthday lullaby to Redskins great Joe Theismann is something that always puts a smile on my face. The he was sitting on the bench after pick number 5, and you start to hear it. "Happy birthday to you"....Joe sitting there, head own, bottom lip touching the ground, completely pissed. By the end of the song, it's loud and proud and Joe has this look in his eye that says,"If I could kill all of you now I would". Redskins fans can have there mircale victory in 06, they will never be able to touch what we did to Joe oh so long ago.

The Swing position
Romo,T.O., Witten, Crayton, Barber, those five are a lock at their respective positions relative to the offense. Deon Anderson is the Fullback, and a fine one at that, but this is they swing position on the offense. He can be exchanged with Martellus Bennett, Felix Jones, or Sam Hurd to gain an advantage in a match up. The options becomes near infinite with 4 guys essentially playing the same position bringing different skill sets, and match-up problems.
As was witnessed last year, most teams have 2 good corners, they tend to drop off talent wise after that point(we were no exception). The ability to create and exploit mismatches with personnel seems to be an integral part of Garrett's offense. I saw it last year as Jason Garrett lined T.O. up all over the field. Imagine Bennett split out wide against some runty corner like Lito Shepherd, or any linebacker in the slot on Felix. It is a fair statement to say that either situation favors us.

The Perfect game...
I've considered that that perfect game may be artistically impossible in football, but that shouldn't stop us from imagining it is....
each person add a play, and we'll see what we come up with...
Nick Folk kicks off, the ball is caught on the 2 yard line. As the returner makes a cut at the 16 yard line Orlando Scandrick comes flying int o make a shoestring tackle.
1st&10 Cleveland has the ball on the 17...
