Music City Miracles More Haynesworth Rumors

According to Mort on Monday Night Countdown the Redskins will more then likely deal Haynesworth by Tuesday by lowering their demands from the 2nd round that they and had reportedly asked for. They showed footage of the Sunday Night Game and you could see he distanced himself from the team. I know their is mixed feelings about bringing him back and with our d-line performance this weekend probably more of you are against it.

In my opinion it can't hurt to deal a 4th round for him. He gives us better depth, he knows the system and he will help clog the run. The big question is how will he mesh in the locker room and can he prove himself to the players after his antics in DC.

What your opinion? Who do we let go?

In his two years at UCLA, Aikman recalled, one of his big frustrations was UCLA's inability to beat USC, which defeated the Bruins in 1987 and 1988, when Aikman was UCLA's starter. "I realize why we could never beat SC," Aikman said. "We didn't steal any coaches from the NFL."

Initially I was like "Are you F'ing kidding me" but once I read the article I calmed down a bit. This happened back in 2009 but I really hope the Titans dug enough into this guys background to make sure this isn't going to happen again.

I gotta believe he will be on our 53 man roster which means Simms won't.

Music City Miracles Our New High Powered Offense

I think if everything comes together for this team in training camp and beyond we are looking at a very high powered offense. Imagine VY lining up under center with CJ behind him then you got Cook lined up at the line with Britt and Williams out wide.

What are defenses going to do with with Britt's ability after catching the ball, Cook's ability to stretch the center of the field, Williams running precise routes and catching anything thrown his way, the best running back in the back of the field running or catching then we have VY's ability to run and extend the play.

I am waiting for reality to comeback and hit me in the head but a man can dream, right?

WOW! Vince continues to impress me. He seemed very relaxed and himself in this interview. I can't wait for next season.

According to sources close to me Gramsey does not want anyone posting new post on subjects already being discussed on MCM. I will have more information as it gets out.

How do you guys feel about this? I liked Kiffin when he was at USC and thought he was a decent head coach at Oakland just wrong organization to be with. I know he had quite a few problems at Tennessee.

Music City Miracles Don't play the Titans if your job is on the line

whether this is pure coincidence or not this season after we played the Bills on November 15 two days later they fired coach Dick Jauron after 41-17 beatdown with a pair of middle fingers. Now we add another coach to the list with Jim Mora being fired from the Seahawks after making a late comeback to win the game and let CJ2K become the 6th 2,000 yard rusher among other accomplishments. Can't wait to seee who we can get fired next season.

Music City Miracles Looking to Next Season

After reading Chilgat's post about our off-season moves I wanted to make my own post about what I'd like to happen and get comments from other people on it and what they want to see.

It is very difficult to predict the off-season moves with the CBA negotiations still have a stalemate. We could potentially keep a couple players that otherwise head to Free Agency so I will mark any player in question with an asterisk.

Our Free Agents include:

Offense

LenDale White* - White has been a great team player with his reduction in play and every time Cj scores White is the first to congratulate him but he deserves better so I do not see him being re-signed.

Bo Scaife - Bo was Franchised last season but with the drafting of Jared Cook there is no way they sign him to a new contract or tag him again.

Alge Crumpler- I could almost envision the team resigning Crump because he has been so valuable to the run game essentially being a 6th lineman but I believe Craig Steven is the future and hopefully the team is prepared to move on with that.

Kevin Mawae- Mawae situation is similar to that of Alge Crumplers. I could foresee the team resigning him because of his leadership on the O-line and he definitely might have a one good year left in him so I see them keeping him but hopefully is a one year contract.

Eugene Amano- Because of resigning Mawae I think they will let Amano walk and let Leroy Harris replace him at Guard. It will take another season for the team to prep one of the other lineman to join the starters.

Defense

Kyle Vanden Bosch- The team has supposedly been in talks with KVB's agent which suggest they want to bring him back. I say don't do it. I like KVB a lot but I think he has lost a step and that step has meant all the difference between sacks and quarterback pressure and nothing at all. I believe we have the youth behind him with Jacob Ford and others to replace him and spend money elsewhere.

Jevon Kearse - Love you but adios amigo!

Tony Brown- Give him a new contract. We can't let another good DT walk and while I personally have been skeptical of Brown in the past this season he has really stepped up. He had something like 24 QB pressures alone.

Keith Bulluck- Just like everybody else I want KB back. Our backups just are up to that task of replacing Bulluck yet. He is so valuable to this team for his leadership and play against the run and pass coverage.

Stephen Tulloch* - Tulloch is very much and underrated MLB and should get a new contract here.

Nick Harper- Buh-Bye now!

I can also see the team releasing David Thornton and handing the position over to Gerald McRath.

Needs

We need pashrushers to help our struggling secondary. With a defensive strategy of rushing only the front four we need to be getting to the QB more consistently.

Kick and Punt Returns please line up here. Here is a position where the organization didn't put a lot value into and literally (The Jets Game) saw us loose games because of it. They should have ponied up the little extra cash to have kept Chris Carr. I know he hasn't been lighting it up in Baltimore's Defense but his depth at corner certainly wouldn't have hurt.

The Draft

We are looking at 16th or 17th pick which is a good position to draft from talent wise because it usually an area where Top 10 guys can fall from. We can draft based upon who is high on our board not on need. A lot of this depends on what happens in FA but I could see us drafting an DE, DT or Corner. From my knowledge this is going to be a very defense oriented draft at least for the first round. We could be looking at DE Everson Griffin from USC :), DE Sergio Kindle from Texas (I think we know a thing or two about drafting from there), DE Derrick Morgan Georgia Tech, DT Terrence Cody Alabama (More of a 34 NT but he is a huge man child), DT Dan Williams Tennessee, DT Brian Price UCLA, CB Joe Haden Florida (Top 10 Prospect so he is out of the running but wishful thinking). Check out SouthTexasTitan's post on the CB prospects but to my knowledge there aren't many 1st round qualified CB and we don't have a 2nd round pick so that means we should draft someone who can have an immidate impact...After that it's all about depth with TE, LB, CB.

Having said all that I can't wait for next season. We will have a hard road getting there and our schedule isn't going to be easy but we have some of our tougher games at home and the only rough road games to be at Dallas and San Diego both of which I'm going attend.

Music City Miracles WTF Kenny Britt got screwed

Knowshon Moreno won rookie of the week...how the hell did that happen ?!?!?

Well at least Chris Johnson won the FedEx Ground Player of the Week but I'm just mystified out how Moreno with less then 100 yards rushing and a 4.6 Avg won over Britt's clutch catches. He must have lost becuase of the fumble only reasonable explanation. Links Below:

Music City Miracles Adrian Peterson ticketed for going as fast as CJ

I guess CJ's speed ain't exactly legal in Minnesota.

MINNEAPOLIS -- Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was cited for speeding over the weekend after police clocked him driving 109 mph on a highway in suburban Minneapolis.

Edina police spokeswoman Molly Anderson says Peterson was pulled over just before 8:30 p.m. Saturday.

Peterson was driving his BMW on a state highway in a 55-mph zone. Anderson says he was given a citation and allowed to drive away. She called it a "very routine" traffic stop.

Peterson tells The Associated Press he didn't realize how fast he was going. He said he "got a little speeding ticket" and said he planned to be more careful.

The stop happened the night before Peterson ran for 85 yards and a touchdown in a 36-10 victory over Chicago. He also fumbled twice.

Music City Miracles CJ Featured in ESPN The Mag: NEXT

I recommend people check out the latest ESPN Magazine (I just got it today). Kevin Durant is featured on the cover but a quick review through and I saw they had Chris Johnson rated #2. Seth Wichersham did a great job with the article.

CANTON-TYPE NUMBERS AND OH-MY-GOD MOVES ARE TWO REASONS WE NAMED THE TITANS RUNNING BACK NEXT. BUT HERE'S ONE MORE: HE JUST MIGHT SAVE THE STAR SYSTEM IN NFL BACKS.

Music City Miracles WOW the Cards are 5-0 on the road

There seems to be a lot of hoopla over the fact that the Cardinals are undefeated on the road. I checked their opponents and it seems like they have not played anyone that great. Check it out...

Jacksonville 31-17 (6-4)

Seattle 27-3 (3-7)

New York Giants 24-17 (6-5)

Chicago 41-21 (4-6)

St. Louis 21-13 (1-9)

The above teams have a combine record of 20-31 thats no exactly quality teams right there and they have us, San Francisco and Detroit left. That has to be one of the softest away schedules I've ever seen.

Music City Miracles CJ has a chance to shatter some records

I did some projections based on CJ's last 4 games with Vince Young as starter and if he continues it he will finish the year with the following stats:

355 Attempts

2211 Rushing Yards

6.2 Avg

17 TDs

466 Receiving Yards

Now not only will Chris break into 2000 rushing yards he will break the rushing record set by Eric Dickerson at 2105. He will break it by 106 yards. Then you have Marhsall Faulk sitting pretty with the most yards from scrimagge ina sinlge season at 2429...enter CJ with a projected 2677 yards from scrimage. That's a mindblowing 248 more total yards.

Now do I think this will happen? I don't know...I think he will definitly break 2000 yards rushing but we have some good defenses still to face and I still don't think we've faced a really talented team. But all i know is everything rides Chris Johnson's performance each week.

Music City Miracles Not so crazy theory by Don Banks

It took me a while, but I finally figured out what the 0-6 Titans are up to. They're angling for the 2010 first overall pick, and the shot to draft their top choice of the franchise quarterbacks who are projected to populate next year's first round. That's why Jeff Fisher refuses to start Vince Young. He can't risk the chance of Young getting hot and winning a game or three.

Right.

Somehow I don't think Tennessee will be taking another ex-Longhorn quarterback in Colt McCoy.

Read more: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/writers/don_banks/10/20/redskins/index.html#ixzz0UV6edRJs

Is Fisher trying to get rid of Vince by not letting him prove himself so we can draft another QB?

Here was a shocking question and answer from the chat...PS resign this fool please!!!

Nick Bjazevic, Calgary

Who is the most talented player you have ever played with?

Keith Bulluck, Tennessee Titans

Pacman Jones. His athletic ability, he's by far one of the best athletes I've been around. Athletes like him don't come around too often.
