Third Accuser Against Fine
According to this ESPN article, there is now a third boy who was allegedly molested by Syracuse assistant coach Bernie Fine
Its become clear that these accusations can't be simply tossed aside as Boeheim would like.
This is without a doubt a sad tragic situation, but one thing that has made it singularly worse is the reaction of the Syracuse higher ups and the broader Syracuse community.
Lets recap, Boeheim started out the disgusting Syracuse reaction by repeatedly launching attacks against the alleged sexual abuse victims, despite the chilling effect he was creating for victims of sexual abuse everywhere. Then he and the Syracuse players payed homage to Fine by leaving his bench seat open. Disgusting.
Then the school administrator penned a response letter about the whole situation saying it was a tragedy not just for the alleged sexual abuse victims but also for also for the alleged sex abuse perpetrator. Ugh.
Last, the police have refused to cooperate with the DA in investigating these serious accusations.
As these accusations increasingly look more likely to be true, the Syracuse community should be reminded that the real victims are not the alleged sex abuse perpetrator or their precious basketball team, but the actual abuse victims, the ones whose victimization was overlooked by a community and head basketball coach that cared more about basketball wins than sex abuse victims.
Do Not Eat the Food at the Verizon Center -UPDATED
According to this ESPN article 100% of all vendors tested at the Verizon Center failed their inspections.
More sickeningly, mice droppings were found at at least 10 vendors tested.
I for one may never eat or drink at the Verizon Center again. Ugh...
Along with the article is a video which includes an anonymous interview with a food manager at Aramark (the company that runs food at the Verizon Center and elsewhere) disclosing some horrendous things he's witnessed.

Over/Under On Wins This Year
The handicappers at Bodog released this Over/Under on Wins this year:
Indianapolis 11
San Diego 11
New Orleans 10.5
Baltimore 10
Dallas 10
Green Bay 9.5
Minnesota 9.5
New England 9.5
New York Jets 9.5
Atlanta 9
Miami 8.5
New York Giants 8.5
Philadelphia 8.5
Pittsburgh 8.5
San Francisco 8.5
Tennessee 8.5
Chicago 8
Cincinnati 8
Houston 8
Arizona 7.5
Carolina 7.5
Denver 7.5
Seattle 7.5
Washington 7.5
J'ville 7
Kansas City 6.5
Oakland 6
Buffalo 5.5
Cleveland 5.5
Tampa 5.5
Detroit 5
St. Louis 5
The Skins come in at 7.5, which seems pretty accurate for a team that's made a lot of improvements from 4-12, but still is mediocre at some positions (WR, RB, interior Offensive Line, Safety)...
What do you guys think? Too low?
In terms of other teams: I think they have SD, Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Chicago, KC too high, maybe Detroit too low.
Anyone else really worried about our WRs?
I feel like, lost in the discussion about the Redskins, which usually centers around the O-Line, Fat Al, or the RB situation, is any real discussion about the WR situation, which to me looks horrendous. Our #1 WR is very suspect, having not produced like a #1 WR and being oft-injured and facing a possible suspension. Reports thus far on our #2 WR have not been good, and the rest of the cast seems nondescript.
Here's a breakdown:

Bold Predictions!
Out of sheer boredom, I decided to create a post where people can make whatever bold predictions about the Hoyas they would like, even if such predictions are utterly nutto.
Here are mine:
1. The Hoyas get Rakeem Christmas- on twitter he lists Georgetown first in response to the question of which schools are his top schools, he has recently been tweeting with Nate Lubick, and he had good things to say about David Cox.
2. Julian Vaughn will be third team All-Big East- Without Monroe, Vaughn receives a whole lot more minutes as well as shot attempts. He'll average 12 pts, 8 rebounds, and 2 blocked shots.
3. Hollis Thompson will average double figures scoring. He started to really emerge towards the end of this season, and next year's probable spot in the starting lineup will free the way for him to have a regular offensive role.
4. Chris Wright will be first team All-Big East- no Monroe means (for better or worse) Lumpy is the leader of this team. Another year will mean more consistency from him, an improved perimeter shot and more points per game.
5. Austin Freeman will have a worse year- Austin pretty much dominated this year as a winger, really benefiting from 1. teams keying on Greg Monroe and 2. getting fed the ball from Chris Wright. With the emergence of Hollis & the departure of Monroe, Austin will get less shots from the wing and he'll be less open on those shots. In order to bolster the team's defense and height, JT3 will also have to give some of Austin's playing time to Hollis, Lubick and Moses. I could see Austin's scoring average dipping.
Casual Hoya Scooped: Oh the Embarassment
While HireEsherick and Jeff Green's Dad squabbled mindlessly, Bleacher Report has beaten us, and beaten us silly. They have the first interview with the male cheerleader.

For Cusimano, cheerleading is not just a sport. It is a lifestyle. In fact, his undying dedication to cheerleading enabled him to become not just the face of Hoya basketball, but the face of the entire Georgetown Community.
Eric has been more than a good representative of the school. In many ways, he has cemented himself as a legend.
Yea, he may not be Greg Monroe. But Eric has left definitely left some pretty big shoes to fill.
Julian Vaughn more delusional than JGD?
While all of our guards seem to justifiably hate us, Julian Vaughn in a recent formspring answer said that we are funny SOMETIMES. Not sure why he thinks we are funny any of the time, but hey, I guess we should take any praise (no matter how undeserved) we can get.

Ridiculous Cahill Call Giftwraps Syracuse Victory
Did anyone see the Syracuse game yesterday? Our old "friend" John Cahill really came through once more with two simply awful calls.
Who would win Gtown 06-07 vs Gtown 09-10?
So the other day JT3 was asked whether the current batch of Hoyas were playing as well as the Final Four team. His answer was: "Not yet."
It got me thinking, who would win if the Final Four team played the current team?
My thoughts below the jump.
The Problem With Our Bench
It strikes me that the main problem with our bench is simply youth. Three of the 4 guys coming off the bench are freshmen and the fourth is a sophmore. We've obviously been hurt by the transfer of various marginally talented players who could still have served as effective role players off the bench. I'm not sure any of these guys would have been a sparkplug on offense (which is something we desperately need) but they would at least not be the offensive liability our current 4 guys are.
Seeing as youth is the problem, I don't think we're fixing the problem this year. Given some time I think Benimon, Sims, Thompson, and Sanford develop into good players capable of playing supporting roles either as starters or off the bench rotation
I see Thompson developing a few more offensive moves (he definitely could work on his shot creation ability) and becoming a reliable 8-10 points a game player.
Benimon could definitely develop into a useful Vaughn-like power forward that would help shore up the defense and be a powerful rebounder and shot blocker.
Sims needs to develop his defensive footwork a lot more (he gets caught off-position a lot) and also needs to develop his post up game, but could probably develop into a 10-12 points a gamer.
Sanford if he developed a little further on offense could provide a useful offensive spark. Unlike Hollis, he seems to be a bit more comfortable driving into the lane, so the possibility is there.
You add in Starks and Lubick next year, along with another year of development for these 4, and if our big 3 stay at Gtown, I think we are a force to be reckoned with.
We don't get no respect
Has anyone noticed that when anyone ever talks about the Big East, the theme is always about Syracuse or Pitt, and how surprisingly well they are doing? With the exception of this week, we've been ranked higher than Pitt all season. We've beaten 3 ranked teams, as well as Temple, which is currently ranked. Our RPI ranking is #7, yet NOONE talks about us at all. SI doesn't even have us in its power rankings.
I wouldn't care so much about being so ignored, if Syracuse wasn't getting ALL of the attention. That's just sickening. I'd love for us to go up there and punch their team in the face. I don't think people could continue to ignore us after that.
