I know the IC title has lost some value over the past couple of years and with things with Wade Barrett repeatedly being randomly started and stopped(Bo Dallas Feud, and random bickering with Sheamus) the IC title is almost completely irrelevant. But this is more of a case of the belt needing the wrestler than the wrestler needing the belt.

While in my mind there's no doubt Sandow is a future world champion, that is not gonna come anytime soon, and Sandow needs something to do...and I say give him the intercontinental championship and let him have a lengthy run with it. Sandow has the mic skills to elevate the title back to where it should be, which is the stop right before becoming a world champion, not only can he do that with his fantastic mic work, he can do it in the ring, as he is a pretty good wrestler. This also gives Sandow his first title in WWE and its not a bad title for him to start out with, and it lays down a pretty good future for him. That future is a feud with a then, freshly turned face Cody Rhodes, Rhodes has been seen with Kaitlyn on screen and I think WWE flips the switch with him making him a face, really for the first time since he's become established. Rhodes and Sandow both have a VERY rounded set of abilities, good mic work and can go in the ring, and a feud with the former partners over the IC title could not only be a great thing for both men, it would be a PHENOMENAL things for the IC title, and could be just the pick me up the once prestigious title needs.

What do you think guys? Is he too good for the title? Should a World Heavyweight Title Reign Come Soon? Is the title not worth fixing?

CHIKARA returns to my neck of the woods next Sunday, (Feb. 10) for their 'While The Dawn is Breaking' event at The Palmer Center in Easton, PA. Belltime will be at 4pET.

As soon as I could, I bought tickets...before I even knew what any of the matches on the card would be! CHIKARA has this special ability to guarantee a good show, no matter who wrestles on the card. But this one, has so many matches I am excited for and want to share with you. Here's the breakdown:

3.0 vs. The Young Bucks for the Campeonatos de Parejas

(CHIKARA's Tag Team Titles)

via www.chikarapro.com

Preview

This match is probably the one I'm the most excited for, and usually that's the way you want fans to feel about your main event. This match gets me excited in every way, and here's why:

3.0 are what every Face tag team should strive to be, they're funny and can put on genuinely good matches. They are the underdogs you wanna cheer for, you want them to succeed and win.

On the other hand, the Young Bucks are the complete opposite, Matt and Nick Jackson are cocky and arrogant pretty boys -- so a perfect contrast to 3.0, because they are the perfect heels.

Why I Care

This match excites me on every level, I just can't wait to see it. But the biggest reason is, I think the Young Bucks will be huge stars in the future. Part of me feels they should already be in the big leagues of WWE or TNA chasing the tag team titles. There's also this small part of me glad the big two companies are overlooking The Young Bucks and this is quite the selfish reason...I get to see The Young Bucks in my hometown, and to some extent, an unfiltered version of the young bucks.

Eddie Kingston vs Kevin Steen

via www.chikarapro.com

Preview

Eddie Kingston and Kevin Steen are two of the bigger-sized guys you will see on this card, and their styles reflect that. Both men are more hard-hitting and vicious, styles that standout on a CHIKARA card. Eddie Kingston is the Chikara Grand Champion and Steen is the current Ring of Honor World Champion. If that isn't enough to make things exciting, this is also being billed as The Final Confrontation.

Why I care

The World champions for two of the biggest indie promotions (ROH and CHIKARA) in America are facing off for their final confrontation in CHIKARA. If that isn't enough to make me excited, in the short amount of Kevin Steen matches I have seen, it seems having an off day for the guy is impossible. This match will probably end up being the best of the night, simply because both men can go. This match is sure to be the most physical as well, so to me therefore, it is one of the most intriguing.

Team Frightning (Frightmare, Hallowicked and Mike Quackenbush) vs. Jigsaw, Shard and deviANT

via www.chikarapro.com

Preview

This is probably the match with the most backstory. Also, a match that, a year or so ago, no one would see coming. Quackenbush trained Jigsaw and, since the beginning of CHIKARA, they've been an inseparable team. More than simply being a team, the two of them were best friends who had each others back, no matter what.

Well, in 2012, Jigsaw turned on Quackenbush to help the Gekido. (The Gekido were masked men trying to unmask Jigsaw and the Colony.) More than that, the Gekido's attacks on the CHIKARA faithfuls were vicious, and done with ill intent. This brought out a side of Quackenbush never before seen, one who wanted to hurt the Gekido, not just beat them in matches, but hurt them badly.

Jigsaw had an idea, a theory of sorts: The Gekido weren't bad guys, they were just never really given a chance, and with proper guidance could be brought down a different path. This has put Quackenbush on opposite sides of many tag team matches as of late. Jigsaw siding with the Gekido and Quackenbush teaming with CHIKARA's faithfuls.

Why I care

This match has a great back story, not only that, every single guy in this match can go and have fantastic matches. For me this match, and all of Quackenbush's matches, mean something to me. I am hoping to join the CHIKARA Wrestle Factory after I save up enough money and finish getting in shape. Quackenbush runs that place and he's trained so many guys I like -- Chris Hero, Antonio Cesaro, Chuck Taylor, and many more. Beyond that reason, I am sure this match will be great, fast-paced and have some crazy spots.

The Colony (assailANT, Fire Ant and Green Ant) vs. F.I.S.T. (Chuck Taylor, Icarus and Sugar Dunkerton)

via www.chikarapro.com

Preview

Both of these teams were created by a bizarre decision made by CHIKARA's Director of Fun Wink Vavasseur; assailANT was added to the Colony and Sugar Dunkerton was added into F.I.S.T., and both teams have been dysfunctional since being put together.

Although, in their last appearances as teams, the Colony seemed to finally have accepted assailANT, while Sugar and Icarus bickered, and have seemed to make little progress in terms of forming an actual team.

Why I care

The Colony are one of the best acts in CHIKARA and are a group impossible to hate. I love them. But, on the other team, is Chuck Taylor -- my favorite wrestler in all of CHIKARA. So, although I love The Colony, I'm gonna be pulling for Chuck Taylor to win, and to maybe see the return of a Chuck Taylor grenade.

For the rest of the card visit While the Dawn is Breaking and be sure to let us know if you are excited about the event or have any thoughts on the matter in the comments below.

That Incredible Only in Wrestling Feeling

Over the past two days of wrestling there were many things that upset me and while I talked major amounts of shit on them they had moments that made you feel that thing that only wrestling fans know about. That feeling of having Dolph Ziggler come out at number 1 and number 2 is Chris Jericho, the man he got fired about 6 or 7 months ago. Moments like that give me this unique feeling.....its different for almost all pro wrestling fans but the sediment is the same. I smile and clap, usually while standing up. When the lights turned off and Jericho came out I was transformed back to the young kid who fell in love with wrestling.

There's time when wrestling and being a wrestling fan is something you're not always proud off....im looking at you Khali singing HBK's theme song. But us pro wrestling nerds we accept that shit to get to the greater moments. Seeing the likes of a Jericho or Brock Lesnar return when you have no idea its coming. My point of this whole thing is while wrestling can be predictable, embarrassing and sometimes uninteresting,i t has that ability to make us clap, make us stand up,make our jaws drop, make us giddy and bring us back to our childhood. All around I LOVE PRO WRESTLING and the feelings you get from truly special moments like thousands of wrestling fans in the arena cheering Jericho with thousands more at home cheering along. If I ever have to explain why I am a pro wrestling fan that would be my answer and non wrestling fans probably wouldn't understand it. So in summary wrestling has this unique feeling that can make you forget all the previous feelings you had prior and just mark out like the kid who fell in love with wrestling and that precious moment and sharing it with fellow pro wrestling fans....is one of the greatest things in the world.

My Favorite Fighters:Alex Caceres

From time to time I need to get my creative juices flowing and while I hate writing, when it comes to MMA it flows easily and with no problem and I enjoy writing it. If this catches on,basically if you guys like what I write or how I write it, I'll continue to do it maybe once a week for why I like my favorite fighters.

With Alex Caceres better known as Bruce Leeroy, I've always been drawn to him, there's something about him and even when he was being an immature kid on TUF(something I usually am against) I instantly knew I liked Caceres and wanted to see him succeed. Seeing him lose on TUF bummed me out a bit and when his fight was announced for a upcoming Fight Night(remember those? good times), I was psyched and completely pumped for it. He took on Mackens Semerzier and Caceres just got bullied and shut down in all aspects. The thought instantly set in that he was for sure gonna get cut. Next he fought Jimy Hettes and once again it was a crushing defeat for me and I'm sure for Caceres. Once again I thought there's no chance he gets another fight. Next up he fought Cole Escovedo and Alex Caceres makes his entrance and as usual seeing him making his entrance gets me pumped and ready. Typically when my favorite fighters fight I get nervous for them, but with this guy its different with Caceres I'm excited to see this guy fight. Caceres goes out there sporting an 0-2 record in the UFC and you gotta a lot of guys who think he shouldn't even had this fight and that he should have been gone already. He went out there and won this fight in every area of the fight game and wins 30-27 unanimous......This fight made me incredibly happy and my fandom when it comes to Caceres increased by far. Now since then whether he's taking questionable losses to Edwin Figueroa or winning a huge fight against Damacio Page, I'm behind him and pumped to see him fight. March 3rd 2013, 3 days before my 20th birthday, Caceres is set to step back into the cage. On that day come time for Caceres to walk out to the cage and seeing the guy energetic and smiling, I will be pumped, excited and genuinely happy, ready to see one of my favorite fighters step into the cage and win, lose or draw, I will get too see a guy put it on all on the line whether on the ground or on the feet.

So what do you guys think? You like me going uberfan? Should I write more stories for fighters I love like Rich Franklin, Stefan Struve,Mac Danzig,Cole Miller or Joe Warren?

Actually commenting on bloody elbow was one of the smartest choices I ever made, this place exposes the communities on sherdog and mmajunkie on how bad they really are. I love the live threads where we all just have fun and react to sick KO's and subs and just go balls out on the fights. So simply happy holidays to all you guys and my gift to you guys is simply a terrible small poem and one of my new favorite Christmas videos.

The UFC has their own John Cena, his name is Jon Jones

To those who don't watch WWE or pro wrestling John Cena is their biggest face and is the ultimate good guy, and does everything right that you could possibly do right, and there are people who still dislike him. Granted he plays a character sort of, John maintains he's just being himself out there it reminds me a lot of Jon Jones and what it means for him.

via ts3.mm.bing.net

John Cena goes out every week and just does what a guy should do and gets the love and admiration of some for his ethics and hard work. There's also a large portion of the audience who hates Cena for just doing what he does and acting like himself. These same fans claim the only way they can see themselves rooting for Cena is become the bad guy, embrace the hate and do all the bad things that a heel in pro wrestling should do. What does this have to do with Jon Jones? I see similarities.

via ts2.mm.bing.net

Jon Jones is loved by some for his hard work and talents and his highlight reel which is seemingly every time he steps in the cage. Jones does everything he can to seem like a good guy and some fans appreciate him for it, but an equal or even larger part of the audience see's this as an act or him being "fake". These fans want Jones to go full heel just like wrestling fans feel John Cena should do.

Ultimately no matter what these guys do both are gonna have guys who hate them no matter what choice they make and will say there's something they can do to change it. Realistically these guys just can't please these guys, John Cena's character has seemed to realize this and try's to cater to his fans and thats it which is what I think Jones should do, don't worry about the people who hate you Jon Jones, they will probably hate you no matter what choice you make. And I'll admit im not the biggest fan of either man, but I can respect their talent and the hard work they put in.

Thoughts on this? Do you see a resemblance in their fan bases and hate bases.(i guess that's what you call it) Or do you just hate me and want to say that?

Frankie Won that Fight

Yeah the fight was close but throw the stats aside, Frankie was hitting the more solid punches and dropped Ben Henderson and tried to submit Ben on two different occasions.

Yeah the fight was close but throw the stats aside, Frankie was hitting the more solid punches and dropped Ben Henderson and tried to submit Ben on two different occasions.

Fighters are told not to leave it in the hands of the judges, but when a fighter does what he can to try and win and shows intent to try to get the finish, dropping Ben and going for subs like I previously stated, Frankie did what he could. If you told me Ben won that fight or that he deserved that you are wrong, feelings aside on both fighters this was a pure robbery, but the hate Frankie gets will blind a lot of people and you will say it was Ben's win and lets move on. I in no way thought Frankie won the first but he DID win this fight.

Something I've never saw happen on a split decision happened and that was for the three websites I visit to all score the fight for the loser (Sherdog, Bloody Elbow and MMAtorch and even post fuel show Frank MIr) all scored the fight for Frankie the Answer Edgar.

This is an angry rant but all the facts point toward Frankie getting robbed not some stupid cliche like it happens or don't leave it in the hands of the judges. Rounds 2,3 and 5 (and even 4) in my mind were Edgar's rounds.

Disagree with me and it doesn't matter in my eyes cause this is my point, Frankie was robbed and Ben Henderson did nothing to silence doubt or show he deserves that title, he was actually setback by this win, and this performance now has me believing that Ben Henderson not only doesn't deserve the title but the fact that he will lose his first defense if this performance is his best. Ben did as much to lose this as Frankie did to win.

I was disgusted by the decision because it screwed a fighter who had his back against the wall and put everything on the table and still could not get a win, amongst controversy was a great performance from Frankie, you deserve to be champ but two blind mice at ringside kept you from accomplishing this.

So to recap going into this fight I was hoping Frankie could pull this off, he goes out there and does it, look at fightmetric, if Frankie did not win, this it should have been a draw. I'm proud of Frankie he did what he could but its not his night tonight and the judges decided that not him, he tried his hardest and forget the screwjob for a second, I was proud of Frankie and most didn't give him a chance to do anything hope he changed some minds out there and impressed.

If this is true and im guessing it is, I for one am pretty happy to see the guy back and if he can win his comeback fight, a fight with Ryan Jimmo would be a nice second fight, I like the Hammer, but i find it very hard for anyone to hate the guy Granted his last fight wasnt pretty it was against Gustaffson who is a star and Hamill should not be ashamed of that lost.

So thoughts guys? Is it cool to see him fight again or should he have stayed retired?

With Alex Caceres aka Bruce Leroy's recent win over Damacio Page he may have opened eyes to being a fighter with more than just flash and a cool gimmick. This is a look at his path and a look towards his future and whether or not it looks bright.

With Alex Caceres aka Bruce Leroy's recent win over Damacio Page he may have opened eyes to being a fighter with more than just flash and a cool gimmick. This is a look at his path and a look towards his future and whether or not it looks bright.

Caceres has a unique style on the ground and on his feet, he's fast and throws flashy kicks and that flashiness he has on the feet translates in a funky yet exciting ground style.

His Path In The Ultimate Fighter

His journey on the show started with an opening round win over Paul Barrow(3-0) by first round submission , a rear naked to be exact. Next he fought Jeff Lentz(6-2 at the time) and would win the fight just how he won his most recent fight by a triangle choke. He then faced Michael Johnson who used his superior wrestling to stifle and prevent Caceres from using his exciting stand up or ground game. Michael Johnson had a nice size advantage and while its not excuse for Caceres it is a possible reason as to why he looked so bad in that fight. At the end of this season he left the show as the hated young kid who was cocky and over confident in many people's eyes.

First Fight After The Show

He met WEC Veteran Macken Semerzier(5-3), Caceres wouldn't get to show much as he was choked out pretty quickly and didn't disprove the idea that he was just a big mouthed fighter who couldn't back up the annoying trash talk he was spewing on TUF.

The Rebound?

Next he fought relative unknown Jimy Hettes (8-0 then) he would once again fall short to a relative unknown prospect in many people eyes. What most didn't know at the time is that Hettes is a legit prospect who has a wonderful ground game, Caceres fought valiantly but would fall to the ground game of Hettes.

Last Chance

Now 0-2 in the UFC and 5-4 overall the general question is why does this kid still have a job, his last shot would be a drop to bantamweight to meet Cole Escovedo(17-8) in what looked like a mismatch that would result in a loss for Caceres and be his departure. Escovedo was on a two fight losing streak but to two top talents although Barao wasn't as well known then as he is now he had a record that spoke for itself

Caceres would dominate every facet of the mma game and embarrass Cole Escovedo by showing a massive improvement on both the feet and on the ground. It was a huge win for Caceres and the biggest of his career and would come at a name at which he absolutely needed it.

Impressive Despite Controversy

He would next meet once beaten Edwin Figueroa(8-1) and was put in trouble early in the fight with a very nice headkick from Edwin. The fight would be fairly close to being stopped but Caceres would survive the round. Unfotrunately after landing a second accidental kick to the groin referee Herb Dean would take away two points away from Caceres would basically be a death sentence to Caceres and his chance of winning a decision. Caceres would battle on and still try to win despite having a very little chance to get the nod for the fight.

The outcome would be a split decision loss for Caceres with two judges scoring it 28-27 against Caceres who would have had the fight won if he hadn't has two points deducted from him.

His Most Recent outing

Now 1-3 in the UFC he would still get another fight(perhaps because he didnt really lose the fight as he was mostly a victim of circumstance) He would get a fight with Damacio Page who at one point was a very talented prospect on a losing streak.

The fight started out bad for Caceres as he would be taken down and held, but he would constantly go for triangles nearly getting one with a few seconds left of the first round. Round 2 rinse and repeat taken down and going for submissions every chance given, he would sink a nice triangle to submit Page and bring his UFC record to 2-3.

The Future for Caceres

Caceres does not have the greatest wrestling or ground game. But he has flashy striking which will probably throw off most fighters and infuriate them, but when they get him down he tries hard for submissions and while the most talented he is talented and has finishing instincts in every aspect of his game.

I think Caceres has a bright future ahead of him, he's young and seems to be improving with every fight, although i believe he desperately needs a move to a bigger camp so that he can tighten up his skills with some of the best in the world.

My Verdict - He may fight for a title won day, at 24 years of age and already showing signs of improvement in every fight he could be a future title challenger because he has an unorthodox ground game and striking game mixed in with killer instinct. A couple more years of experience and he could be deadly.

I would like to hear your opinions on what I said and what you see ahead of Bruce Leroy

My Post Weekend UFC 146 Matches to Make

Now that the weekend is over and I have watched the main card fights again, I wanted to share my thoughts on who the winners from 146 should fight.

Now that the weekend is over and I have watched the main card fights again, I wanted to share my thoughts on who the winners from 146 should fight.

JDS vs Cain Velasquez 2- This one is a bit of a no brainer, before 146 i would have been completely opposed to this match up but after Cain pretty much murdered Bigfoot, this match up is now even more intriguing and exciting. Cain looked even more dangerous in his fight with Bigfoot than any of his pre title fights and looks like a changed and healthy fighter. JDS did what everyone thought he would and ran through Mir( much to my disliking) and he needs a challenge in his next fight.

Roy Nelson vs Mark Hunt- Nelson showed that he has knockout power and we all know that Mark Hunt has knockout power. For me this fight would be awesome its the Iron Chin of Nelson vs the Hands of Steel of Mark Hunt.

Struve vs Stipe Miocic - Struve took out Johnson extremely quick by targeting his weakness and exploiting the huge hole in Lavar's game while Miocic battered an undefeated Shane Del Rosario. This fight tests Struve's ability to use his height because he wouldnt be able to take Miocic down and submit him at will. This for Miocic is a good chance to prove how good his ground game is against someone who knows how use their own.

Dan Hardy- Since its known hes probably fighting in the UK in his hometown next lets say Hardy vs Sadollah, it can headline or co headline the event in Hardy's hometown. Its striker vs striker but Sadollah is no slouch on the ground and could test how much Hardy's training with Mir has helped his ground game.

Jamie Varner vs- Most people want Varner vs Cerrone 3, i want to see Varner in a fresh match up with a person around the same level as Barboza to prove it wasnt a fluke win, Varner vs Barboza's original opponent Evan Dunham, Evan Dunham doesnt always get the respect he deserves and i thought Dunham would beat Barboza with wrestling. Dunham vs Varner is two wrestlers who have some skill in the stand up department and could make for an awesome fight.

Now for everyone's favorite fighter CB Dollaway- Dollaway vs a returning Patrick Cote, Dollaway is only excited when he's getting finished and Cote has enough skill to lay out the Doberman and make the hardcore UFC fans of this world happy.

I leave you with this

At this point most people think Belcher is gonna get his leg ripped off and hes gonna be beaten with it like something out of mortal kombat. But i think he has a better chance than most people are willing to give him to win this fight.

At this point most people think Belcher is gonna get his leg ripped off and hes gonna be beaten with it like something out of mortal kombat. But i think he has a better chance than most people are willing to give him to win this fight.

Palhares is strong and stocky and has a much different body type than Alan Belcher, who is around 6 ft 2 to Palhares 5 ft 8 frame ( which is almost 100 % pure muscle it seems)

Belcher has a height advantage and a striking advantage(obviously) , and Palhares has shown some Paulo Filho like moments where he seems to forget where he is ,mainly the Marquardt and Dan Miller fights im thinking of. Now i think Belcher will win but im not saying he takes this handily. I just think he has gotten little respect when it come to their fight, it seems as if most people are looking for Palhares next opponent like its guaranteed he will beat Belcher.

I leave you with this

So it'd be UFC 145 MacDonald vs Mills? What are your thoughts on this scenario possibly happening. Would they keep it as a ppv or make it free.

As a pro wrestling fan (let the boos begin), I barely watched mma, I knew who Tito Ortiz and Chuck Liddell were but that was it. But then lesnar transitioned into MMA and i had a reason to watch and support a pro wrestler prove he was tough.

As a pro wrestling fan (let the boos begin), I barely watched mma, I knew who Tito Ortiz and Chuck Liddell were but that was it. But then lesnar transitioned into MMA and i had a reason to watch and support a pro wrestler prove he was tough.

The first full MMA event i ever saw was UFC 100, which was in 2009 which really isnt that long ago. I watched as Lesnar put a beating on Frank Mir then proceeded to be what i came for, He started to act like Brock Lesnar, then i realized it wasn't his act hes genuinely cocky. At that event a fight kind of stole my attention and that would be Belcher vs Sexyama. Of all the fights that happened that night this one intrigued me the most. I googled some Alan Belcher fights and then slowly started to watch all kinds of mma. I think its cool that Lesnar can bring fans in who genuinely care about the sport after he leaves. And even better i came for Lesnar, but as i watched more mma i started to root against him i remember thinking Carwin would smash him. I thought i'd share a story of a pro wrestling fan crossing over into mma since it seems to be a debated subject these days with many people thinking pro wrestling ang mma should be separated.

For me i get to use Joe Warren, for many of you it gives you a chance to pound on Joe Warren which is a popular dream for many mma fans. In my mind any new mma game is good news. Thoughts? Wanna express your desire for this game to come out so you can beat Joe Warren, go ahead !!!!
