OU Lacrosse Action this Weekend: The Beginning of Division Play
This weekend, the Sooner Lacrosse team face off with two tough LSA-North division rivals: SMU and TCU. This weekend could be the deciding factor for how the rest of the season will go for the Sooners. Two strong wins and the first ever play-off berth could be in the picture for the Sooners.
The Sooners play SMU at 8 PM Friday night at Alcott Middle School. SMU has been a power hous in the Lonestar Alliance Conference over the years, but is currently undergoing a transistion period and this game looks to be a very interesting game, even with the Sooners coming off two impressive wins.
On Saturday, the Sooner play Rival TCU at 3 PM on the Timberdell Field, located off Timberdell and Jenkins. Historically, this has been a very physical game as the Sooners are 2-1 all time vs. the Horned Frogs
So come out, bring your friends and family to watch Freshmen phenom Jason Fry (who currently leads the nation, out of 213 teams, in goals scored.), Sophomore Chrispy Hoover, Juniors Adam Hawbaker and Matt Moran for a weekend of excitment!
As always, admission to games is free to everyone. There will be a table set up at each game, selling the official OU Lacrosse and OU Nike Team Merchandise. We will be passing out this years team poster as well at both games: Players will be available at the conclusion of both games to sign Autographs.

BOOMER SOONER!! Beat Tech!!
Sooner Lacrosse beats Alumni, looks foreward to Texas Tech
The Sooner lacrosse came off an impressive weekend with their first action this weekend as they defeated the Sooner Alumni 11-2 to kick off the fall pre-season schedule. Sophomore Attackmen Hudson Seidel and Matt Dzura, and Freshman Attackman Jason Fry led the attack for OU as OU Lacrosse players from the past three decades came back to Norman for the annual game. Junior Captain Matt Moran and Senior Captain Alex Perry anchored the defense for the Sooners as Joey "Boot" Hokit got the nod to start in goal for the Sooners.
This weekend (Oct. 25), the Sooners look to take on Texas Tech at the Clark Mini-Fields in Plano, TX at 7 PM. The Sooners are looking for redemption after losing a heart breaker to Tech 13-14 in last season's senior night game.
