I found this article on newsok.com regarding Barry Switzer's life since he resigned from coaching at OU, which was 20 years ago today. It's hard to believe it's been that long. He's had his share of critics over the years, but I admire how he's taken everything in stride and been a good ambassador for the university and state of Oklahoma.

Here is a pretty good article about the progress of Corey Wilson and Travis Wilson. I personally did not know that Travis was with the Dallas Cowboys until I read this.

The Wilson brothers are from the Dallas area and it has been a great comfort to their family to have Travis nearby.

This article makes me proud to be a Sooner when I hear how much time Bob Stoops and the other players have supported Corey and his family.

Here's wishing Corey and Travis best wishes.

DeMarco Murray out

I just read in the Dallas Morning News that DeMarco Murray is out of the Florida game and is having surgery for a partially torn hamstring tendon.

Obviously his injury was much worse than the staff initially let on.

This puts a lot more pressure on Bradford. I think Brown can handle the starter's role, but he's not the home run threat that Murray is. Also, this will be a huge step up in competition for Madu who has mostly been used in mop up duty.

David Sims

Does anyone know if David Sims is on campus? The last I heard was that he was still completing JC course work in order to gain eligibility, but that was in August. I thought that he was being counted on to be an impact player in the secondary or at least on special teams. I think our secondary has done just fine so far, but I was curious about his situation.

It might be even better if he is redshirted this season any way and have him ready to go with a full spring and summer under his belt.
