Bucs Nation Don't Forget The Offense

It seem's Buc fan's have made up their mind. This team needs defense worse than offense. My question is why? What about our offense makes anyone think that they are in better shape than the defense? In my opinion we actually have more building blocks in place on the defensive side of the ball.

Talib and Jackson in the secondary and Geno at linebacker all look like top talent. Roy Miller showed enough last year to at least consider a good piece of the d-line rotation in the future. We also have a bunch of depth type guys at DE. So we need more depth and quality at DT, LB, CB and safety.

Now who do we have on offense? Freeman is where it starts. He is far from proven but we have to build around him. Looking into the future I see maybe 2 skill position player's on this roster and that's Stroughter and K2. Sammie should be our slot receiver for awhile and K2 is a top notch TE. There is no other RB or WR on the roster we can count on in the future. As for the OL we are in better shape. Still this line is very overrated. I like Penn and think he will be at one of our tackle spots for years to come. We have to hope Joseph is in that same category though he has seemed to regress. I'm not sure we can count on anybody else on this line in 2 or 3 years. To me this is scary when the franchise player has nothing to work with.

The bottom line is we have a bunch of holes on both sides of the ball. I think we have to take the best player and not worry about offense or defense. I know I have been focusing on McCoy and will be happy if we get him. Many others are in love with Suh. Even more are in love with Berry. It get's to the point where people just dismiss offense as a possibility at 3. I don't believe we are in a position to do that. Hopefully the Bucs feel the same way.
