Handshakes
hey everyone, after seeing prince fielder and ryan brauns handshake were they are kind of boxing, i was wondering if anyone knows if the angels players have any weird handshakes. i know vlad has his where they start high and throw each others hands down and i think vlad and rivera might have one where they just get close to giving each other a high five but never touch hands. does anyone know if any other angels have anything going? i just love seeing the crazy stuff some players come up with, and bruan and fielders might be my favorite that ive seen.

All AL West Team
i did this at the beginning of the season and im going to post it again because im sure the choices will drastically change
RULES:
a player must play the position you choose him for (no left fielders playing center unless they have played the position before, and no starting pitchers relieving or closing, and you cant have more than one closer)
any player that played in the AL west at anytime during the season is fair game (kotch or tex could be used)
heres mine:
LF-Ibanez
CF-Hamilton
RF-Ichiro
3B-Figgins
SS-Young
2B-Kinsler
1B-Teixeira
C-Napoli
DH-Guerrero
Rotation:
Lackey, Santana, Saunders, Duchscherer, Hernandez
Bullpen:
CL-Rodriguez
RP-Ziegler, Arredondo, Shields
if this goes well maybe ill do other divisions every couple of days

Vlad won't be defending his derby title
Vlad has decided to sit out the home run derby to take the chance to "recharge his batteries" over the all star break. i think this is a great decision on his part because it seemed that last year the derby took its toll on vlad and his power stroke. the home run derby should still be pretty exciting with all the young power hitters taking part in it. i dont know about the rest of you, but i watch the home run derby every year and always enjoy it because it looks like its just the games premier power hitters having fun and launching balls into the stands, not to mention having the chance to see vlad and GA win it.

Sleeveless Jerseys?
do the angels still have their sleeveless home jerseys? it seems like i havent seen them since the beginning of last season and they were always my favorite. did they replace them with the red ones? i tried to find this out on google but nothing came up that was any help. so i figured here would be the best place to find out. thanks for any info you might have to help me out with this!

All star game in Anaheim in 2010?
just got a bulletin from one of the many angel fan sites im friends with on myspace, and it said the angels are the front runners to host the all star game in 2010. ive been waiting for this for a while, since the last time it was here i was 1. it isnt quite finalized yet and tampa bay and kansas city are also in the hunt. i think we kind of deserve it more than them though, we do actually go to our home team's games...

glad colon isnt our problem...
i just read on mlbtraderumors.com that bartolo colon has now missed his last 2 winter ball starts and is yet to crack 90 miles an hour. im sure half of you have read that already cuz that site seems to give us a lot of our news here, but i think colons effectiveness is just about gone, i dont know if the big man can make it as a control pitcher. alright well leave your thoughts about tubby if you want, thanks

Guillen to The Royals
dont know if anyone has heard, or posted this, yet, but mlbtraderumors.com posted that the royals have signed jose guillen to a 3 year, 36 million dollar contract. thank god we only see him for about 6 games now, less chance of him following through with his wishes to "kill all of the angels". this signing really does not make sense for the royals in my eyes. it seems like every off season, they sign one aging veteran, and i can never understand why

HK and Izzy?
i just read from mlb.com that the marlins are asking for kendrick AND izturis for miguel cowbrera. im not sure if this has already been discussed or not, but i dont think we can afford to lose both of them. if they wanted figgins and aybar, i would say do it in a heart beat, but izturis may be the best bench player in all of baseball and unless they throw someone else in with lard ass, then i say kendrick is off limits. dont they have uggla anyway? why do they even want HK?
