Looks like the Pacers are hiring Pritchard
So all that hanging around he did during the season did amount to something. It seems the Pacers are determined to me the most noise during the lockout.
I hate to do this now but...
I just heard Rick Adelman has been fired or let go for some strange reason. Here is a link to the story: http://www.sbnation.com/nba/2011/4/18/2118815/rick-adelman-rockets-coach. So I have to ask the question, given his record and what he's gotten out of so many teams in the past, should the Pacers hire him?
Personally, I want to keep Vogel and give him a chance, but Adelman is proven. I'd stick with Vogel, unless he doesn't mind being an assistant again (which would probably be very strange for everyone). So, what do you guys think?
Now back to enjoying what matters right now, the playoffs.
So the Pacers WERE involved in the All Star weekend. I noticed Boomer in the crowd during the celebrity game, but check out the judges for the D-League dunk contest.
Larry Bird on making a trade and his future with the Pacers
In this article Larry discusses wanting to use his trade assets (including Danny Granger's place on the team) and his uncertain future with the team.
Update on Indiana Pacers EuroLeague prospect, Stanko Barac
While we all worry about the prospects currently on the roster and their development (or lack thereof) here is an update on a guy the Pacers drafted a while back.
Up Close Observations from Last Night
I attended last night's game and I must say I left very disappointed with what I saw. The team seems to be on a real downturn and this is definitely the new low that I was hoping to not see. Sitting about 50 feet away from the court I could hear the players on the court, see their faces, and get a good read on their body language. Hopefully with this post I can provide some extra insight plus confirm some things I think many of us already knew about the team. After the jump I'll discuss what I noticed from each player.
Pacers are a farm team (according to this guy, funny stuff)
I just wanted to share the most ridiculous Pacers bashing I've read in a while. What was said about Danny Granger was hilarious.
Four Team deal involving Pacers
I like this deal.
Pacers and Nets discussing ...
Trade involving Granger and #10 for Harris, Yi, and #3
Trade Rumor: Kirk Hinrich and 17th to Indy
The deal would apparently include the 10th pick and parts unknown.
Unsung Player Day
My first fan post, how exciting. I'll keep this simple. Today is Unsung Player day on the Internets and bloggers all over are singing the praises of 11th and 12th men everywhere. Let me get to it, Gene Zarnick at Farve Dollar Footlongs picked Josh McRoberts (also the first guy that I thought of). So, follow the link (after the jump because why not) and enjoy reading something positive about a solid Pacer.
