Babin Back Breaker
Jason Babin apparently broke Graham Gano's back in 2 places after the blocked field goal in the last game of the season. Story says Babin tackled him.. they should edit to "tripped over him". To Gano's credit, he continued to play and kicked in 2 through the uprights after.
Here's the play, you can see the tackle trip at the 6~7 second mark.
Funny flow chart on choosing a team to cheer for, worth the post for the digs at the rivals.
JimmyK, I guess this is for those fans that don't live near a pro team or have any family that indoctrinated them into being a fan.. this might be valid way to become a fan. Also seeing how the first question could immediately make people cowboy fans.. I think I found out why they have such a large bandwagon.

First few years of CBA could be "Soft Cap"
Link is to ESPN.. but they link to this report. Basically, when looking into why NFL Vets and D Smith would negotiate a cap that could get many high paid vets cut, Lance Zierlein (i and e confusion) found that there may not be penalties for teams over the $120M cap... allowing teams to hang onto pricey vets. Graziano of ESPN has decided to label this the "Jerry Jones Rule"...
Arizona is pitching... Kolb for DRC
From an Arizona sports talk radio reporter and his "source"
@MikeJurecki on the #Cardinals QB search: "Kevin Kolb is the guy, Cardinals are prepared to offer DRC straight up...according to source"
My shopping skills are not on par with the rest of the web, but I figured I'd share this thing I made in honor of our goalie carousel.
Live Feed "NFL Lockout Tracker"
Its a live feed of mostly twitter posts from various NFL/NFLPA reps, news reporters and analysts... aggregated into one of those live blogs... So you can track all that NFL labor news as it happens on one page. Newest News = 24 hour extension...
Titans Decline to Resign Jason Babin
Former Eagle turned stud, by our new Defensive Line Coach Washburn, has been told by the Titans that they're not going to extend his contract making him a free agent come the 4th of some month whether thats March or July.
"As for the Titans perhaps bringing him back once the labor situation is settled, it is possible, but Babin didn't sound as if he was expecting that to happen.
'They could get back in the mix, but I think if they wanted me they would negotiate in the exclusive window now. To do it after I'm in free agency just doesn't make very good business sense,' he said."
Does he come here with Wash?
Visiting Fan Seating?
I'm transplanted Philly fan that lives quasi-locally (Orlando).
I'm looking at the team site, stub hub, and all the rest to get tickets for the Feb 15th game and I love how I can grab seats anywhere.. So I wanted to know: Is there an area of sections for visiting fans? Or is it pretty much everyone anywhere? I see plenty of good tickets available even @ ice level, which is good cause it will be my wifes first game. We're not rowdy types, but I do plan on cheering & wearing a jersey.
Herremans & Bradley Show At Practice
Bradley dressed, don't know how much he actually practiced though. Same goes for not knowing the extent of Herremans participation. Max Jean-Gilles is still out.
Playoff Scenario - More Reasons to root against the Bears
I know we'll all be cheering against the Bears so we get a shot at the #2 Seed... But did you know that a Bears loss ALSO ruins the Giants chances at making the playoffs?
What did you do with no game last night?
Just got in from a long drive home from my parents. I decided to use the extra time to get some stuff done around the house, and do the monotonous task of pulling all the licensing & drm info from my old dead xbox to my new one... that's a pain I don't want to relive. How bout you?
"Will the Cowboys be able to slow down Rex Grossman?"
I'm sure there is just a tiny hint of sarcasm in this question posed by Matt Mosley in his "Final Word" this week... but can they? This weeks NFC East Toilet Bowl game spells win no matter what.
Found this on i-am-bored... Gif animation isn't working?.. here's the link that works:
"I was really mad at him because he knows better, I love him as a little brother, but I've told him that he can't put himself above the team like that. It was detrimental to the team."
Jason Avant on Jackson's TD... Hmm, when's the last time I heard "detrimental to the team"? I just find it funny that this quote came from someone wearing #81...
The safety did a better job than we anticipated.
Andy Reid talks about Landry's first play from scrimmage.
A fun quote I read in an ESPN article.
Guys have gotten into a rut, to be honest with you... It’s a lot of negativity and a lot of criticism and people don’t respond too well to criticism...
Almost My Favorite Photo I've Ever taken...
I'm sure everyone here is as bummed as I am bout Sunday's loss... But I'm moving on, in the form of moving backwards one week. I'd say the I'm posting this because I want to cheer myself up some by remembering the blowout win against the #2 AFC South Jacksonville Jaguars... but the honest reason is that my card reader wasn't working and I couldn't find the cable needed to pull pictures off my camera; until now.. and I'm just starting to go through the pics... And one I knew I took would've been my personal favorite (DeSean Jackson's TD), because it happened right infront of me... But the picture wasn't meant to be... The "would be totally awesome" photo after the jump...

Jacksonville, Who's Going?
I found a tailgating group (onecrazyfan.com), and got my tickets. Section 130 is gonna be loud. Any of you guys heading down (or whichever direction if you're a relocated fan like me)?
Speaking of Samuel, if the answer is "Roy Halladay and Asante Samuel," then the question must be "name two Philly athletes getting paid a lot of money, who have thrown no-hitters."
In his "20 Questions heading into camp.." write up, Les Bowen's takes a jab at Asante. Not sure this is making up for it.. but he gives a nice backhanded compliment a sentence later...
"It would be easier to appreciate the plays Samuel makes - and he does make them - if he didn't have to line up in another zip code every snap"
More Info on Vick's travel restrictions
Interesting Quote from Eagles OTA Report
Matt Mosley hinted at a potential Eagles pick up when dropping notes in his OTA report. In his second bullet point, he talks about Nate Allen & the Marlin Jackson injury.. then drops this tidbit:
"Roseman was watching film of a veteran safety who's currently on the street when I entered his office. The Eagles aren't planning to sign anyone immediately, but they'll be ready if someone else is injured."
Paul 'Domokun' Domowitch vs Asante?
Jeff McLane pointed out on twitter that 22 was again taunting Domowitch, for calling out his tackling skills.. my photoshop skills are on par with his tackling.. so can anyone create a "dramatization" of this event using the above pic??
Brent Celek's Worth...
Pretty funny Satire on the "Analysis of Brent Celek's Worth as a Human Being"... worth a read, if only for the pictures.
This is not explicitly Eagles related... infact their not even mentioned, but this kid knows his football teams... and like me, I think you'll start becoming a fan of this kid around the 43 second mark... but he lost me w/ the "Saint's are number 1" thing @ the end...
"I have a hard time believing that there's another [player] who's played in the National Football League who's been as valuable to a team in so many different ways than what Brian has meant to us both on the field and off the field,"
Reid told reporters at the NovaCare Complex...
In the future we'll all be confused as to which year/B-(1st 4 letters of last name) departure Big Red was refering to with statements like this...
(for those playing along @ home, this one was B-West)
(Poll) Who you watching now?
I hope D-Jax grabs a +50 yarder, runs it back to midfield and grand-stands on the star!
Me.
The Eagles - 37 Degrees to Victory
What does a 2nd seed standing get the Philadelphia Eagles? How about some history? I've seen a couple comments about 1st round byes leading to Eagles doom... The reality as I see it is while other NFC East teams have come out flat with a 1st round bye... Reid has done historically well with 2 weeks to prepare the team.. On the other hand, pending our placement (2nd or 6th) history also points out what I think has the most potential to change the shape of the playoffs.. and it's been mostly overlooked. That potential playoff wildcard, Domes.
