Brand was suppost to be a Dub, Baron wasnt suppost to resign???

Seems that Monta, Baron, and Elton had a plan in the offseason that would bolt the Warriors to a top 5 team! According to Monta, (who i lost some repsect for) Baron was to resign, and Elton was suppost to land in Oakland when he opted out. They were suppost to be the Big 3 of the West until Monta injuried himself which he says Baron and Elton decided to have a plan on their own.
I dont really buy what Monta said because i dont see where we would of have the money to sign Elton, Monta, and Ellis. Do you buy what Monta said, That him, Baron, and Elton had a plan where they will resign/sign with the Warriors? We would have probably done a sign and trade with Goose since it would be impossible for the Warriors to pay 4 guys that make 10 plus Mil a year.
Bay Area's All Star Team
Enough with all this trade talks, rumors, ideas, etc. Lets reminisce on the basketball players that have come out of the Bay. Which player would be on your Bay Area All Star team ? Out of all the all time Bay Area Basketball greats, who would be in your lineup. Maybe a Jkidd, Paul Pierce, The Glove, etc.
Heres my Bay All Star Team:
C - Bill Russell. Do I really need to justify this? One of the NBA's 50 greatest players, Russell invented how to play center. He won 11 NBA championships, made twelve All-Star game appearances, and was named NBA MVP five times. He averaged an insane 22.5 rebounds per game over his career. Most guys will never see that many rebounds in a night's work. He once ripped down 51 boards in a game. His 15.1 PPG and 4.3 APG are also a nice addition, as well as his countless blocked shots.
PF - Paul Silas. Outside of Russell, good big men are hard to come by in this town. Although his numbers pale in comparison to Russell's, Silas's 9.4 PPG and 9.9 RPG make him a solid pick for this position. Silas was also a two-time All-Star and won three NBA Championships. The fact he went on to coach doesn't hurt, either.
SF - Paul Pierce. Now we start putting some points up. No disrespect to Mr. Russell and Mr. Silas, but you don't win games putting up 25 PPG combined. Pierce's 23.1 career PPG are a nice addition to this squad, and Pierce can even hold his own on the glass (6.4 RPG) and give the ball up to his teammates (3.9 APG). He's also a six-time All-Star and an NBA Champion.
SG - Gary Payton. I know Payton spent most of his career at the point, but I thought he'd be better suited to the off-guard spot on this squad. Payton's 16.3 PPG and 6.7 APG are solid for a two-guard, and his 3.9 RPG and 1.8 SPG are a nice touch. The Glove is also a nine-time All-Star, an NBA Champion and was named Defensive Player of the Year in 1996.
PG - Jason Kidd. I thought Kidd's skills made him a better true point guard for the team. His 14.2 PPG make him a credible scoring threat, but the real draws are his 9.3 APG, 6.7 RPG, and 2.0 steals. Kidd is a nine-time All-Star and was named High School Player of the Year in 1992. Good luck getting the ball across half court with Kidd and Payton in the backcourt.
Post Baron Davis Era
IDK excatly how much cap space the Dubs will have now, i think they have 15-20 mil. Whatever it is, its alot. The way i see it, the Warriors are extremely under pressure as we the fans expect the Dubs to bring in a player that can match or even more out due what Baron has brought to us. The Warriors are gunna have to make a splash in FA if they want to aviod facing another 12 year drought.
Some PG's Warriors should consider is:
Jamal Tinsley- old and injury prone but i say we can get him at a bargin to be a Plan C option. Hes going to be bought out is Indy can find a trade.
Stephan Murbary- again, hes old and injury prone but he does still got game in him. I think hes a high risk/ high reward player. Assuming Walsh buy's him out.
Mo Williams- young player who can do a solid job. Contract is horrible tho.
Raymond Felton- a bit of a strech, but another young PG who may be on his way out.
Kirk Hinrich- may be on the way out since Rose can into town. Also is young and can lead the team but again has a big contract. (I'd prefer as of right now)
What do you guys think. Obviously there is a slim chance that the Warriors are gunna find their post Baron answer in FA, so where do they turn to? I dont see much in FA that can make a difference to the Warriors except for Brand, so what now.
