The Lakers Get Leads And They Let It Slip Away
Well Lakers' fans, you know the same ole story. The Lakers get a lead and next thing you know, it slips away. And it's been that way all season long right after when Bynum got injured in January. The problem is how to maintain those leads when the Lakers achieve them. The problem with coach PJ is that he likes to stick Gasol in the lineup for more than 40 minutes, which is probably why Pau gets fatigued and strains for shots and rebounds with a "Aaahhhhhggghhhh" yell. The Gasol fatigue factor also explains why Billups was able to blow past him as well for layup points for a comeback in game 2. Because Gasol is mostly in the game, the Nuggets probably know they can wear him down and get foul shots, which explains why Pau missed critical free-throws late in the 4th quarter because of fatigue. Why doesn't PJ play DJ Mbenga in their to mix it up with Nene to wear him down and intimidate so that Nene's game is thrown off. Well, if coach PJ doesn't utilize Bynum, Gasol, and Mbenga in the paint, the Lakers will let their season slip away in Denver (just like their leads) because they haven't been a good road team against the Nuggets, especially during the season.
