ProFootballCentral.com's Brian Harrington defends his Dolphins stories
I got in touch with ProFootballCentral.com through repeated comments. I repeatedly left comments similar to the fanpost I made here saying that the rumors were phony. This guy either has a connection that every single other NFL guy would kill for or its not true. Lets hope he develops these stories a bit more.
Brian Harrington sent me an email and I thought I'd share it with you.
Ryan,
My name is Brian Harrington and I just wanted to personally respond to your posts on the website. The reason I have deleted your posts is because I am still getting use to Wordpress (our server) and I am still trying to find out how to reply to comments without making a new post from it so if I cant reply to it why just have your post or anyones post on there asking me a question. Heck I am still trying to find out how to put my name under all these posts so it doesn't look like you said shady.
As far as the reports, we are definitely not just pulling something out of nowhere and are still doing whatever we can do validate these sources. It has been the worst kept secret to never believe when a website says "according to sources" but we are trying to clear through the BS to continue to be a "legitimate" news source which we are. There are alot of times that the agents give us false info just to generate interest for the client. I remember a few years back the agents for Samari Rolle told us he was going to be a Redskin so we put it up and it was a roll of the dice. unfortunately we looked bad on that report.
Look through our history, we have broke a ton of stories but people only remember the stories we were incorrect on which is life. Like I said we are doing our best to seek clarity on not just the Harrison and Burnett rumors but every rumor that comes on our desk.

Owner: Tagliabue won’t be joining Dolphins
by Brian Biggane
In one of his first public appearances since he took over majority ownership of the Miami Dolphins from Wayne Huizenga, Stephen Ross said Monday that former NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue won’t have more than a consulting role with the Dolphins.
Speaking at the inaugural Fin Cup, a pro-am associated with the Honda Classic at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens, Ross even laughed when he said, “He’s certainly not joining the executive ranks of the Miami Dolphins.”
A report in the Sports Business Journal last month stated that Ross and Tagliabue are old friends and that Ross was interested in having Tagliabue come aboard as vice chairman.
Ross did acknowledge the two are close, as they both serve on the Board of Trustees of the Levin Institute, an academic entity in Manhattan that concerns itself with globalization of business.
“Paul (has been) a friend of mine for quite a few years,” Ross said. “I serve on a board he’s chairman of, and certainly there’s nobody you can ask for advice about the National Football League more than Paul Tagliabue. He’s helped make the NFL what it is today, and the opportunity I have to call upon him is something of which I hope to take advantage.”
Ross added that Tagliabue will “probably be a permanent advisor to me.”
I think profootballcentral.com is full of it
I'm calling BS on this site.

I've just gone through 5 pages of their news and only 2 stories don't have printed sources. Kevin Burnett to the Dolphins and the Phins have interest in Marvin Harrison. The whole site is a compilation of local media and those are the only two stories that haven't showed up anywhere else and haven't come true.
If the Dolphins were interested in Harrison I suppose they'd at least look at Coles. Burnett was probably just a shot in the dark for them considering the connection with Parcells.
Either way unless a source is attached pay no attention to these guys.
Source: Dolphins likely to pass on Laveranues Coles
As much as Chad Pennington would love to have former Jets teammate Laveranues Coles in Miami, it doesn’t look like it’s going to happen.
According to an NFL source, the Dolphins don’t perceive Coles as the No. 1 receiver they’ve been seeking and aren’t likely to pursue him in free agency.
Miami already has a No. 2 receiver in Ted Ginn Jr., not to mention a couple of quality complementary guys in Greg Camarillo and Devone Bess.
[Editor's Note by Matty I: Please don't post full articles. Thanks.]
Coles to Bills or Dolphins as early as today
http://www.profootballtalk.com/2009/03/01/cole-to-bills-or-dolphins/
No longer a New York Jet, free agent wide receiver Laveranues Coles is likely staying in the AFC East, according to Rich Cimini of the New York Daily News.
Per Cimini, Coles is ready to make a decision and will choose between the Buffalo Bills and the Miami Dolphins as soon as today. He places the “smart money” on the Dolphins landing the former Jets starter who played collegiately at Florida State.
Coles caught 70 passes for 850 yards and seven touchdowns last season for the Jets. For his career, Coles has caught 631 career passes for 8,095 yards and 44 touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Baltimore Ravens free agent safety Jim Leonhard’s visit to the Jets began Saturday at 5 p.m. It’s predicted that he’ll sign with the Jets today.
Leonhard excelled last season as a replacement for injured starter Dawan Landry and doubled as a punt returner.
Dolphins closing in on deal with Kevin Burnett

Glad to see we've been working on something without anyone really knowing.(except this random website reporting)
Anyone have an opinion on Leonard Weaver. Seems solid. He's 26 and from Cocoa, FL. The trifecta shuffled the FB position all year. Research on Weaver shows good blocking as well as short yardage. Any chance we take a look at Tank Johnson? Maybe some upside. Please NO vet receivers.
Looks like the Jets landed Scott

Is Ray pissed?

Its exciting to watch the Jets continue to bury themselves with crap. Crap contracts, players, personal moves and shit fans.
There's a reason it took Rex Ryan so long to get a HC job. There's a reason why he was passed over for the Ravens gig. He sucks.
