The Dallas Stars completed a 4 over time game at about 4:30 Monday morning, sending them to the Western Conference Finals. The most exciting games I've seen in my short 21 years of being a Dallas Sports fan, they've earned the support of the fans with gutsy leadership by Captain Brendan Morrow hard hitting and near flawless goaltending by Turco. If you get a chance to go to a game don't be afraid play off hockey is electric and if you want to see some wild stats from game 6 there is a link below. Bring it Home Stars!

Stumbled across this article on SI.com . The owners and NFL have approved one defender to have a helmet communication system. This is a pretty big development, but I think it's in the right direction.

While I continue my journey to convince the cowboy's faithful that Chris Johnson is the perfect fit for our offense and a nice bonus in the return game, earlier this morning I stumbled across his NFL combine overview and analysis. If you haven't checked it out please do, let me know what concerns you still have.

Final Thoughts

After being a BTB spectator for the past couple months just reading others posts, I finally summed up the courage to post my first diary , receiving mixed thoughts. So I'm back to defend my #22- pick in the draft Chris Johnson. After doing a bit more research and reading the comments left, I'm back...

Trading up picks is not in our best interest with all of our needs and the lacking talent in the free agency pool that we could afford is sketchy at best. We need all the picks we can get in the draft, in order to sure up our pro bowl roster. Yeah, it would be great to get one of the Top 4 Backs: Stewart, Mcfadden, Jones, and Mendenhall, but unless we trade up, which to me is out of the question. We aren't looking for and don't need a to sacrifice for a top 5 back we need a compliment to MB3. Johnson is still refining his skills at running back, with his senior year being the 1st real dedication to the position for a full season and he turned out some great numbers. He has a dual threat ability with the ability to run routes out of the backfield and even be motioned into a slot position to extend and spread the defense, on top of all of that he can also function as a return man, a good example of that in the So. Miss game.

Couple Articles and Sites:
Chris Johnson breaks records, as well as ankles

ohnson patiently waits for NFL shot

The Speed

Return Skills

Hawaii Bowl Highlights

The Perfect Storm

As I was watching the combine on The NFL network waiting for the running backs to come out, so I could see who would be the lightning in our soon to be perfect of a storm backfield, I realized how disappointing the draft class of receivers is in terms of standout first rounders who actually deserve the first round money.

At that point I had made up my mind that we must first take a running back (22) and then a corner back (28) of the first round. And who else to compliment Barber's wrecking ball style of play than the 5'11 200 lbs. back from E.C.U., Chris Johnson. After watching his blistering speed in the combine with a 4.24 40 yard dash I went online to watch some highlights and check out some stats ( I recommend going on YouTube and watching his games against Memphis and Boise State.). But if your more of stats guy, then you will like to know: Finished 1st in 40 yd. dash and finished top 5 in both vertical jump and broad jump. On top of that his senior year at E.C.U. he put up: 1,423 rushing yards on 236 carries averaging 6.0 yards per carry and , along with 37 receptions averaging over 14 yards a reception with 528 receiving yards and 6 TD's. If you watch highlights you will also see he has amazing break away speed, along with great balance and the ability to bounce off wimpy tackles. If that doesn't catch your eye, on top of all of this Marion and Chris look freakishly alike on the field, so if they had numbers that look alike (Ex: 28 & 29) and we decide to take the names off our jerseys, it could cause some what of a headache for a defense not knowing if we have Thunder or Lightning in. Oh and for the 28th pick Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.
