If you haven't heard, Lavar has his own radio show here in D.C. It's on 106.7FM...formerly WJFK. His slot is from 2-6pm, Monday through Fridays. The show has only been on a couple days and he's already mentioned Navarro Bowman and how he is going to be one of the next great PSU linebackers.

As a Nitt fan and long time suffering 'Skins fan, this is great. If any other Redskins fans are reading this, you know how much Lavar is either loved or hated here in VA/DC/MD. Some people are going to like how he talks about the Redskins management and some are going to loathe him for it. Bottom line is, the Redskins suck because their front office sucks and I'm hoping L.A. can bring that to light.

I want to ask all of the Steelers, Eagles and Other fans what they thought the problem was, with Lavar's career. Was it the 5 different defensive coordinators he had in his 6 years in DC? Was it the defensive scheme? Was it him?

I'd like to know what you all think.

Zook's Twitter Mishap

Zook sent out two tweets that read, "Please. Come Here" and "Is that all U got," around 3:45 a.m. Central time Saturday. The tweets have since been removed from his page.

Two "test" messages, huh? Sounds like he had a few chardonnays and decided to throw out a line for a booty call...

Can someone tell me why this is a smart move? I'm confused here. Does DickRod have any idea what he's doing anymore? Is QB the only position they recruit?

I'm no expert, but to give a guy, who hasn't played football since high school, a full-ride to a D1-A program like Michigan is pretty crazy. Is he athletic enough? Sure. But he's not in football shape. He's been living and breathing basketball the past four years. Not only that, he's 6'1" and 180lbs and has less than five months to get ready for the season.

I just don't see how it makes sense to use up a scholarship for this guy. Not too mention this is going to send a message to the other QBs that are at scUM competing for the job.

So my WVU buddy sent me this article because it mentioned PSU and also a possible WVU/VaTech matchup. But as I read the writer's reasons for picking PSU in the Fiesta Bowl I notice all he does is rip on Dear ol' State.

Meanwhile, Penn State has a joke of a schedule, but has just enough problems and concerns to potentially lose at Illinois and Michigan State and blow the Big Ten title shot.  The Ohio State game might be in Happy Valley, but with a rebuilding receiving corps, big replacements needed on both lines, and some key defensive backs gone, there might be a home loss to Iowa early on and a trip to Northwestern could be tough.

So, according to Pete Fiutak, we could possibly lose at Illinois, at Michigan State, Ohio State, Iowa and at Northwestern. Hmmm, so why is picking us to go to a BCS bowl game?

Yes, I know, don't pay attention to these clowns, but when will this disrespect stop?

Conquest Chronicles posted a write up about the matchup next week. After reading it, I didn't come away frustrated or surprised like I did when I read tOSU's delusional pre-game writeup. This one is actually as fair as it could be for a Trojan blog and I thought I'd share it with you all.

Now, if only they could get people to post comments on their blog....it seems like NO ONE comments on Conquest Chronicles. In fact, QBsneak12 offered two Rose Bowl tix at face value, on Conquest Cronicles' fanposts, and the only comment was from BSD Mike calling him a traitor...ha.

I wouldn't recommend starting pissing matches with these clowns, but I thought you all would be interested in seeing what the oppositons' fans have to say about us. In short, they are not even close to being as delusional as tOSU fans are.

Sorry to jump on your site, but I was interested to get your perspective on all the media hype with UF. I am personally tired of hearing about how great Tim Tebow is, how fast UF is, how many weapons they have, blah blah blah. It's starting to make me sick.

As a PSU fan, I know what it's like to be disrespected in the polls as well as when being mentioned against a top ten team (eh-hem U$C). So basically what I am saying is that I respect your team's position and I feel for you when they make you a 9 point underdog as the #1 team.

So let me ask you this and please be honest...

Is the media right? Is UF that good? And on a scale of 1 to 10...how confident are you guys (as fans) going into this game?

I've been doing some thinking after heariing all this non-sense about how we can't hang with U$C...how we are just the same as those Michigan and Illinois teams that got their asses handed to them. So I came to this conclusion...

UCLA beating U$C would do more good than us beating U$C in the Rose Bowl.

The media has already exonerated U$C for losing to Oregon State. They never mention that  when they so proudly claim that U$C should have a shot at the National Title. A loss to a 4-7 UCLA would, hopefully, shot those pundits up and make their respective assholes pucker up to the size of a decimal point.

I would prefer that it is a close loss...where that timeout, Peter didn't need, would've come in handy to challenge a questionable UCLA touchdown...or where he needed it to set up a last second field goal, but runs out of time.

Would it be disappointing to see a rematch with Oregon State? Yes. But wouldn't it be sweet to U$Close again? An emphatic, YES. Look at it this way...say we beat U$C in the Rose Bowl...then what? Does tWWL give us and the Big Ten (11) credit? Or do they make more excuses for U$C...about how they weren't "up" for this game and how they were disappointed to play in the Rose Bowl for a 4th straight year and didn't really care. I'm thinking the latter of the two (and we all know what kind of media shitstorm will ensue if we lose). 

Let's face it...the media loves U$C because they are the ONLY football team out west...college or pro. Think about it...what other perennial powerhouse football teams exist in the west? U$C is ALL they have to talk about...so that's what they do.

Of course U$C will probably blow out UCLA and I will be happy to play U$C in the Rose Bowl, because I think it's the best BCS matchup other than the NC game. However, I LOVE seeing U$C lose. Almost as much as watching Notre Dame lose...and to give you an idea of how much I love watching ND lose...my father and I tape the post-game Notre Dame shows just to watch Chuckie flounder as he blames everyone except himself...licking his fat lips as he thinks to himself, "What was in that danish I just ate? Was it cheese? 'Cause it's okay if it was cheese."....but I digress.

The bottom line is, the media will never give us and the Big Ten (11) credit until we put on two strong years in a row. So, I think it would be nice for UCLA to win...thus taking U$C's member from those hippies mouths and replacing it with a nice big shit burger to eat.

Now, your thoughts...

This will be my first Columbus experience. Pops and I just purchased the tickets this past Monday. After the game on Saturday, we will be traveling East towards our home in the DC area, but would like to stop maybe an hour or two after we have left the parking lot.

My question, for all those experienced Columbus travelers, is how far will we have to travel East, in order to avoid the football crowd?

Zanesville? Cambridge?
