I am a high school student living in Wisconsin with a (huge) interest in baseball. Born in Ann Arbor Michigan, naturally I'm a Tigers fan. I live and breath the Tigers. When they lose I'm angry, and when they win I'm overjoyed. I love all Michigan sports, however, and am an equally die hard Michigan Wolverines fan. Living in Wisconsin sometimes its hard with the recent "badness" of some of my favorite teams.
I do stay strong and faithful through these tough times however.

Cabrera Is The MVP, Right?
For much of the season I believe Cabrera was the unquestioned MVP for most baseball fans, he was (and still is) a triple crown threat, and is a among the leaders in just about every offensive category except for steals and triples.
Lately, though, I've been hearing names like Josh Hamilton, Paul Konerko, and Jose Bautista being thrown into the mix and seriously considered the winner. I realize this is normal, but many think the Rangers can sweep the four major awards.
Of course the main reason there are other names in the pot is that the Tigers are out of playoff contention. I don't think this should matter since their are 8 other people on the field, and its tough to carry a rookie laden and injury prone team to the playoffs.
Please calm my nerves and tell me Cabrera is going to win the MVP award.
What to Do With Jim Leyland
I don’t like the idea of firing Jim Leyland, but I certainly think he could be doing a better job. I don’t claim to be an expert in any situation in baseball, but it seems to when he makes bad decisions they go really bad. I also think Leyland is having trouble motivating this team in times of trouble. I’d give Leyland and Dombrowski a couple more years to find a good roster and do something with it. I think Leyland is a great manager, but I can certainly see the end of his time in Detroit.
