Typical 2008 Ranger game

1-Scott Feldman has good outing until he struggles in his last inning

2-A reliever comes in and blows the lead

3-Bad umpiring call costs the Rangers 1 run and gives the opponent the lead

4-Wright comes in, and a an error on an easy play costs the Rangers 4 runs

5-Another horrible call gives the opponent an out

6-Mr. Unclutch (Chris Davis) fails to get a hit in two key occasions, one being in the 9th

7-The Rangers ALMOST come back.

If the Rangers dont sign Sabathia or at least a Lowe type, then they better get someone who can shutdown the 7th or 8th inning because we now lead the AL in blown saves and our save percentage is 57%.

AND why did we put in fransisco, hes now blown 3 straight save oppurtunities

You guys are going to get an easy sweep against us. Now that there is absolutely no chance for the Rangers to make the playoffs ill be hoping of a no red sox or yanks playoffs. So hopefully the Rays will make the playoffs and the Rangers sure wont let the Rays fall behind. Friday our """"ace"""""" is starting aka an over-paid 34-year old. With him its at least a 5 run lead for the Rays. Saturday one of our rookie automatic losses is starting in Matt Harrison.

Then Sunday is an actual possible win for the Rangers with our best pitcher Padilla starting but he is uncertain and our offense's kryptonite is a hard-throwing lefty.

EASY SWEEP, as you can tell im a ranger fan but i like how the Rays arent winning just because they have money and i hope we can do the same next year

Tomorrow yall have Lester starting and we can't hit lefties all that well.

But more importantly Luis Mendoza is pitching for the Rangers, he is probably the worst "pitcher" in the majors this year, yet the great Rangers keep him in the rotation

Mendoza is in the top 5 of worst Ranger pitchers and let me tell you that is one BIG accomplishment, it takes persistence, never thinking about getting an out, and it takes the ability to aim a hanging pitch right down the middle.

so your welcome in advance for a blowout win....

oh and BTW would you guys do either of these trades: Clay Bucholz for Chris Davis? or Kinsler for Beckett?

a 3 or more game sweep. Almost every team had at least one sweep by May and the latest a team got their first sweep was in June. EVEN THE MARINERS HAVE ONE.........Its pretty amazing that we can start off with a 9-18 record and then go to 6 games above .500 and still not have a sweep or a 5 game winnings streak. I guess the reason we dont have one is that we dont have consistent pitching...or just pitching general. I wonder if a team has ever gone a season without completing a sweep, maybe the 50-win Tigers? I knew we didnt have a sweep but i had no idea every team had a sweep by early june. well at least we are overacheiving....

Pretty good game despite the rangers losing. Burnett just had his stuff working and things didnt go the Ranger's way. For instance Feldman throwing the ball in center, Wilkerson not making a catch even though it was called a catch, getting thrown out at home, and another bad call when the jays stole which ended up costing us a run.

What if What if What if. but we easily could have won that game. The one thing we could have controlled is putting in Wright in the 6th, i dont get why Wash didnt put in Franky?? Franky has been great in those situations and Wright hasnt really been good in any situation. But at least Feldman pitched a great game and he easily could have not allowed those 2 runs.

Bradley still hurt, Chris is slumping or at least it seems like he is, Madrigal hasnt pitched since Monday, I think Boggs should be playing everyday instead of bryd, Rupe looked great

Other Thoughts?

Dodgers get Blake

The Dodgers got Casey Blake from the Indians for a pitcher Jon Meloan and Class A catcher Carlos Santana. The indans have to pay for Blake's contract.

Meloan, 24, is a right-hander with an unorthodox delivery who pitched briefly for the Dodgers last year in a September call up. He is 5-10 with a 4.97 ERA at Triple-A Las Vegas. He was ranked as the organization's No. 8 prospect by Baseball America entering this season.

Santana, 22, is a slugging switch-hitting catching prospect who currently has 14 homers, 96 RBIs and a .323 average at Inland Empire. He might be considered the key to the deal for the Indians, but with All-Star Russell Martin in the Major Leagues and Lucas May at Double-A, the Dodgers are comfortable with their depth at the position.
