I'm happy to report that since Dish has made a deal with the Pac-12 Network, I am switching to Dish and ya'll no long have to hear me wail and whine about not having any options to get it. I'm relieved that it didn't take too long.

I still don't want to live in Southern Utah anymore. The other day I told my neighbor that I took my wife out on a date. His response was "oh, what movie did you see?" That's how pathetic this place is... he automatically knew that we saw a movie.... because that's pretty much the only thing to do around here.

I'm done with Wynn. We have given him enough chances. It's time to move on. I like the guy and wanted him to succeed but that performance on Friday was the last straw for me. I haven't seen our offense look that bad for a long time. As soon as he went out, it looked instantly better. Still not great, but better!

I am going to the USC game. I sure hope we can get it together by then. I really don't want to watch us get absolutely crushed at what will probably be my only chance to see them live this season.

I still a little gitty about being able to see EVERY football and basketball game now that I'm getting the pac12 network... it's a dream come true. Even though, it is often pure torture during the actual watching of said games.

If we don't beat BYU on Saturday, I may slip into a coma.

The last BYU/Utah game I went to in Rice Eccles was somewhat annoying due to the fact that some fans were so wasted they should have just stayed home. I can tolerate a little drinking but when you are falling over on top of old ladies or puking your guts out while going up the stairs it's a tad unpleasant for the rest of us.

I'm thankful for the opportunity I have to design shirts for the Utes. It's cool to see fans, players and coaches wearing shirts that I have designed.

I'm the biggest Utah fan in my family. Figuratively and literally.

ok, I'm really getting nervous... with the launch of the Pac 12 network only a day away, I'm getting very concerned that I may be left out in the cold once again. I hate living in St. George... I gotta get out of here! It's amazing how hard it is being a Utah fan out in this wasteland seeing how I am only 4 hours away from SLC. When I first moved here 11 years ago I couldn't even listen to the games over the internet because I had a mac computer (thankfully that crap is no longer an issue)... so I would drive around in the car trying to find that sweet spot where I could actually pick up a very static laced broadcast from Salt Lake City. Years later when the Mountain Network rolled out, no southern utah options existed for years. It literally drove me nuts not being able to watch a game when it was on... and I lived in Utah! I have watched or listened to every football and basketball game that was humanly possible from my location but it has not been easy. Now with the Pac-12 Network, the fact that EVERY game will be televised makes me salivate... I want that so bad! I MUST HAVE IT! OH, WHY DO I LIVE HERE????? Please, please, please tell me Direct TV or Dish are close to a deal. I am a fan! No matter how bad the basketball team is, I still want to watch it! EVERY GAME! YES! The football season is almost here! Come on, somebody bail me out! I NEED the Pac-12 Network! I simply cannot survive this season without it!

Anyone wanna buy my house in Southern Utah? This place sucks!

My favorite time of the year is the month or so in which utah football and basketball overlap. I love following both sports with passion. I know many fans that are huge Utah football fans but pretty much ignore basketball. I think even more fans like both but like football more. For others it probably depends on how good/bad the team is currently. As for me, I like them about the same no matter what's going on. I get just as excited for basketball season as I do for football season. And it doesn't matter if the programs are in the toilet or at the top. Suffering through the bad times make the good times that much sweeter. So how about you? Which do you like better?

I just had an interesting conversation with a fellow Ute fan and it got me thinking.

He came away from week 1 pretty down on the Utes and really high on BYU. He says he was really impressed by BYU and he is really worried that BYU is going to kill us. Am I missing something? I think the BYU game will be a good tough game like always but nothing about week 1 makes me think they are far and above better than Utah.

My main concern is the same concern that I always have against BYU.... that they'll be the team to pull out some miraculous play to win the game... they have the knack to come back and win close games.

I think both teams will be better than they looked in week one... I just found it interesting that my friend seemed so impressed with BYU.... does anyone else out there feel overly concerned about BYU?

Is The MTN Network snubbing Utah Mens Basketball?

ok, I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed that the Utes seem to be getting the short end of the stick when it comes to coverage from the mtn network. The first hint I got of this was on the basketball preview show where the majority of the half hour was spent talking about the Utes Women's Basketball program and not much discussion about the Mens. I was very surprised by this as it is usually the other way around but figured it was maybe just because there was so many new players they just didn't have much to talk about. Then when the season started, I noticed something else unusual... the mtn is not televising a single mens Utah basketball pre-season game. Not one... while other MWC teams are getting 2-3 pre-season games covered by the mtn. Seems odd... and to top it all off, the other day I was watching the mtn Sport Report and they discussed and highlighted all MWC teams except, you guessed it, the Utes.... not one mention for the entire show. The Utah football team is still getting plenty of love... it seems to be just the Mens Basketball team... did Boylen tick someone off over there or what? Or am I up in the night?
