The Chantilly Sports Show this year features many Steelers! The event will be held at the Dulles Expo Center in Chantilly, VA on April 1, 2012. Advance ticket sales ends on Sunday, March 25, 2012 at 5:00 p.m.
Happy Birthday and Thank you, Big Ben!!
It was 8 short years ago that Pittsburgh first set eyes on a large, young and extremely talented QB named Big Ben. Today is Ben's 30th birthday and in the 8 years since we have known Ben, Pittsburgh has been one happy place. He is 10 and 3 in the playoffs, with 3 of those playoff games being superbowls.
Tonight the NFL Network has put together a list of the Top 10 plays in Ben's career. I don't care what anyone says about Ben, I would never want anyone else to play QB for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Happy Birthday, Ben and many more to come as a Steeler!
Any of you guys see this?? They are talking about it in DC.

Check out James Harrison's Fan Page on Facebook.
James has a bunch of contests and stuff for everyone. He has given away game-worn jerseys, shoes from a couple games and a pro bowl jersey. He also asked everyone to photoshop some pics of Hines on DWTS. Some of them were so hilarious. Here are a couple of them.

Happy Birthday to Ben!!
29 years young today!! I heard that he is getting married on July 23rd, I think they said. Lets hope it is a better off-season for him (and us) than all of the others that he's had so far. Right around his birthday, he seems to have things happen to him. Although he signed his $103 million contract two years ago on his birthday, a day later, that beoch filed a lawsuit against him in Lake Tahoe (of course, as soon as she heard about the contract, she filed) And then there was last year's disaster...Benapalooza!! If we can get him past June, (motorcycle accident) maybe he will make it without a scratch this year.
Pittsburgh Power
I haven't heard anyone mention on here the new Arena League team, the Pittsburgh Power, owned in part by the Steeler's own, Lynn Swann. I think it's a great way to pass the time during the dull spring and summer months without football. I don't know where they will broadcast the games, and since I live in Virginia, I'm not sure if I will be able to watch them, but I do plan on watching them if I can and supporting them.
A look back
A great story of the Steeler's season game-by-game from Ben's official site.
This year was unexpected...and wonderful!
Remembering where we were 10 months ago, how everyone hated Ben (Steeler fans alike) as well as the rest of the world, this year has been totally unexpected for Steeler fans and probably the organization, as well. We will look back with bittersweet memories and lament what could have been. It's not like we haven't been there for 15 years and lost; we just won two years ago and five years ago. And we are always in contention for the crown! Not too many other teams can say that, right?
The true tale of Ben...it's not just the defense, people!
I've been reading and hearing all week long about the sexual allegations regarding Ben, how he is a game manager, how Aaron Rodgers is God's gift to football, and it has really gotten top be tooo much!! I just read an article on another blog that finally says what I've wanted to hear all along. It is very hard to quantify Ben, since he is such a unique talent, different from everyone else...but oh sooo much better!!

What??? This does not sound good.
CNN reports that the Georgia Police have scheduled a news conference today at 4:00 PM to talk about Ben's case.

Harrison wins player of the month
From the Pittsburgh Steelers Official Website: Linebacker James Harrison has continued to wreak havoc on opposing offenses so far this season, picking up right where he left off last year when he won the NFL’s defensive player of the year.
Harrison’s efforts early on this year have earned him AFC defensive player of the month honors for October.
In four games in October Harrison has seven sacks, 25 tackles, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.
Harrison opened the month by sacking San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers twice, while adding three quarterback pressures. Harrison sacked Rivers in the fourth quarter, forcing a fumble which James Farrior recovered.
His flurry of sacks continued against Detroit, taking down Lions quarterback Dante Culpepper three times. Harrison forced Culpepper to fumble early on, but the Steelers didn’t come up with the recovery.
Harrison also was a thorn in the side of Vikings quarterback Brett Favre with two sacks and three quarterback hurries, while adding seven tackles.
This is Harrison's second player of the month award, winning it previously in November of 2007.
Roethlisberger to give statement today at 2:00 PM
regarding the rape allegations of the civil lawsuit that he was served with last Friday. Let's hope it helps to allay our fears about this situation. Roethlisberger's attorney said that he definitely didn't assault that hag, or anyone else, so let's hope that he give us some reassurance. He probably won't have a lot to say and won't answer any other questions. Don't worry, Big Ben, the Steeler ladies are behind you and won't let you down!!
Just wanted to let everyone know that the NFL Network is showing a replay of the 2004 Steelers-Giants game on Friday night either 8 or 9pm where Ben shows Eli who should have been picked number 1 in the 2004 NFL Draft.
And there really is no comparison...
