Oh there are exceptions to be sure. But look at the vast majority of busted QBs, especially recently. A lot had poor wonderlick scores.

In a sick way, maybe the Mcnabb trade saved the Redskins somewhat.....b/c I think Shanahan was smitten by Bradford and might have traded something like....oh maybe 2 firsts and a 2nd to move up and get him
Commented on Good Friday Draft Discussion on Apr 18 2014, 11:01a - 1 reply
By itself maybe; however, a very low score on the Wonderlick combined with other red flags is a good indicator that a player will have a tough time in the NFL, especially at QB

You're spot on with that. I think the disagreement comes from saying Bradford is horrible...which he's not. He's a decent NFL QB with some upside...but a once in a generation talent, he is not

Agree 100% and did at the time as well: the diagnosis for the grade 1 LCL strain was at least a 1 month recovery time for the ligament. He should have sat for 4 games and been re-evaluated after

Did anyone else read that the Rams said they are staying at #2 overall and hope to draft Sammy Watkins?

Mark, do you think Bridgewater will slip into the 2nd round, where he probably should be drafted based on value, or do you think a QB hungry team won't be able to resist picking him in the 1st?
Commented on Good Friday Draft Discussion on Apr 18 2014, 10:02a - 1 reply
I agree that I'm not privy to all the details. And I'm not saying his entire reputation should be questioned: just that maybe we, and the Redskins, shouldn't take everything Dr. Andrews says as gospel at this point.

He had a clue...and I think he agreed with Robert's mentality - doesn't make what happened right, but...

Yup, for Harvin, which makes our acquisition of Djax that much sweeter in comparison.

I don't get this logic: you're saying dont draft a T with a ton of upside because he might eventually want LT money if he plays on an elite level?

Well they just pick in the draft order that was final in 2012, so they had the Redskins taking Wilson at #2

So several confirmed reports now from Shea, Cooley, and Moss, that Robert looks like the same QB from 2012 - exciting as hell. If Robert learns/has learned to protect himself better, he has the potential to be nearly unstoppable.

Right, but I think a vast majority of fans got sucked into the idea that since he was recovered and cleared to play, that we were going to pretty much get the same guy back right away.

I'm reading Dave Sheinin's book, "RG3: The Promise" right now, and i still can't understand how Dr. Andrews stated after the initial LCL sprain that RG3 was cleared to play in those games b/c there was "no risk of futher injury to the knee"

And you make a great point there; moreover, RG3's influence has unquestionably led to a better environment in which to land FA talent (highlighted most recently by DJAX signing).

Well, I'm interested to see how the rest of the reporting world reacts. Maybe it'll be nothing, maybe this logo is just 2014 marketing in play. If so, I'm wrong and would have no problem admitting that.

Comparing Robert to Brady, Lebron, Kobe, etc. proves my point. RG3 hasn't even come close to sniffing the accomplishments of those players, so I think an RG3 name logo is a bit pretentious.

Lebron and Jordan were polarizing because they were the best players in the sport of their respective eras. Anything polarizing about RG3 so far has been from bungled PR moves.
