Ok, I know some of us have pondered this before.

But Come on, no I mean seriously Come on.....

Beloit <strike>Starting </strike>turned Relief Pitching pitcher Shooter Hunt

is Hurt physically, unless he's got severe mental issues. -I pray not- I mean he can't be that good at Tulane University just a year ago to this...his line tonight May 15 2009: 2 IP, 3 H, 3 BB, 3 SO, 3 ER .....his season ERA shoots up to 10.70

Ready for Bad?

Hunt has given up 23 runs in 17.2 IP (21 Earned)

Ready for Staggaring?

Hunt yes my Shooter my favorite gun, all shiny and neat, never fired has allowed

33 Walks throughout those same 17.2 Innings pitched!

<strike>Yikes </strike>

He's hurt ....gotta be right? Its gone undetected and He's not telling anybody anything

In my Eyes, two apparent major depressing flaws in our Beloit brick

1. Hunt not being honest or not knowing what being hurt is...(how many other players are like this in our Org. ???)

2. Our Medical staff, trainer, team doctor, physician whatever can not detect an arm problem .

UGH

Shooter and Hunt it and Lock and Load and Shoot and wala a succesful hunt

is not to be this year

Is Jason Bartlett MLB's 3rd Best SS?

Only Christian Guzman in 90 ABs and Omar Vizquel with 35 ABs possess a higher batting average at the position than Jason Bartlett.

and that average is: .351

Ok sooo so what?

well, its not just the Batting Average, in 114 ABs totaling 40 hits Bartlett has hit 4 homers and 6 doubles swiping 7 bags and playing average to above average defense for the Tampa Bay Rays

He is exceptionally quick and an underrated baserunner who should steal 30-40 bases.

to me, by the end of the season Jason Bartlett can only say Hanley Ramirez and Jose Reyes are all-around better Short-stops in the game today than he is.

Ryan Theriot - may be right there with Bartlett and is a Great Player. he too could say he is one of the games great Short-Stops by seasons end.

Jimmy Rollins fresh off a World Series Title may be in a little bit of a funk and should come out of it. But, he is on the wrong side of 30.

Derek Jeter is still Derek Jeter but he is 35 years old.

JJ. Hardy seems to always be a slow starter but doesn't have the raw speed.

Rafael Furcal is great and will come through for the Dodgers, but is currently batting in the .240s and he too is on the wrong side of 30....

Stephen Drew (DL) hasn't really impressed me to date, although he was hot an the end of last season. Mike Aviles, Jhonny Perlata and Alexi Ramirez of the Royals, Indians and White Sox have been awfuly poor over the first month plus....I think I am underestimating some guys out there maybe Yunel Escobar of the Braves, maybe Scutaro of the Blue Jays, or Tulo with the Rox.

But to me Jason Bartlett is a top 5 SS in all of the game today.

Who is most likely to exceed the skill set and value of Jason Bartlett by the end of their career?

Elvis Andrus (Rangers), Alcides Escobar (Brewers) or Eric Aybar (Angels)

I'd like to see a Jason Bartlett Prospect Retro in the future.....

LHP Tyler Robertson, RHP Michael McCardell (just threw a 1 hitter) , RHP David Bromberg, and RHP Deolis Guerra (part of Johan Santana trade)

are also in that Rotation for Ft. Myers is this one of the best rotations in High A Ball out there anywhere today?

In an orginazation? with a decent trio as a backup option included...

Obviously some easy to see top dogs are Texas (Feliz, Holland) S.F. (Alderson, Bumgarner) and Oakland (Cahill, Anderson) but are there any others out there that push one of these out of your top 5 ....maybe K.C. with Daniel Cortes, and Carlos Rosa? or what about Baltimore with Chris Tillman and Brian Mutuz?

Tampa Bay*

1. Wade Davis 2. Jeremy Hellickson -Jacob McGee

While I'm not to particulary thrilled about any of the Japaneese Arms or Brandon Lyon.... I will say that one's addition would help the team more than hurt it....

The threesome of kawakami, Uehara and Lyon are all experienced and Right Handed- something I think we need.

- I'm not so sure about Takashi Saito anymore -but I used to Really LIKE HIM!!!

If the Bidding gets to high on Kawakama at all I think we're out of it rather quick.

I know we talked about it earlier, but I keep seeing our top 40 from last year, 2008

and can't stop thinking about 2009

Thoughts? And is Luke Hughes deserving of a top 10 Ranking in our system?, I'm starting to warm up to that thought.

I'd probably go with something like...

Revere, Hicks, Ramos, Swarzak, Hunt, A.Morales, Hughes, Manship, Mulvey, Mijares, Valencia, Gutierrez

could be names in or near the top 10

Did Twins Lie To Rays about Garza's Health?

So with Garza now currently on the 15 day DL, because of a pinched nerve in his right (throwing) arm. Was it or was it not a direct result from last season's late arm problems?

Obviously Ron Gardenhire has stated he had NO idea about any such thing concerning Garza and claims if Garza's telling the Truth he should have told the Twins about his arm.

My take on it is that Someone in the Twins organization knew something about Garza that the Rays did not before dealing him anyway to the Rays for essentialy DelmonYoung.

But Hey, the Rays knew that Matt Garza had neck Problems and other little nagging injuries early on in 2007 anyway...and its not like the Twinks are taking in return some kind of guaranteed superstar or guaranteeed "good guy' -clubhouse leader in Delmon.

Thoughts?

and in your opinion who will have the Better Career?

1. Garza or Young?

2. Eduardo Morlan or Brendon Harris?

Now that the Twins have signed Livan Hernandez, a veteran innings eater who is sure to have around a 5 ERA or higher this season.

The question is this over/under on Livan Hernandez pitching with the Twins past the Trade Deadling on July 21st? I say Under; I think he may be out before then, around the All-star break. He will be flat out realesed...and not even traded for anything of value, but thats just me. Thoughts?

I can't see it, I just can't really see it. To me, the Twins are setting themselves up for another move or two before the 2008 season begins; likely with the Athletics, or Orioles, maybe the Pirates...

I know a forum group of Pirate Fans that LOVE Wilson Ramos and would probably be willing to ship Ian Snell to the Twinks for Gomez, Ramos, and Plouffe...ironically all position players.
I think thats too expensive, but at the same time.....

Well, that is enough said from me.

What are your guys' thoughts? Any more moves coming for the Twins?

I want to get some opinons, on a few of these guys...

I left out Manship, and Robertson as I'd figure everyone would vote for them, but, honestly I don't see J. Manship as an ace or #2. Same goes for T. Robertson, (well maybe a #2)

I think these guys are young enough, to still take strides and leaps and bounds in 2008.
