Awesome read on staying warm in the NFL

1

He told me to go into the training room and spray my hands and feet with Tough Actin' Tinactin and then wear sterile rubber gloves underneath my football gloves. Those two tips along with my pregame warmup made a substantial difference. We also had the hot chicken soup broth on the sideline throughout the game which not only kept you hydrated due to the sodium content, but also kept you warm. Not to mention it also tasted pretty darn good, too!

Walters record vs the spread on Chiefs 4-10

VEGAS RECAP: There were three massively bet games last week (Vikings, 49ers, Chiefs). Vegas won just one of them (Minnesota), so this was a losing week for the books. It was strange - crooked official Clete Blakeman was the ref in the Kansas City-Oakland game, yet he didn't make sure the Raiders covered. As my LVH Supercontest partner Matvei joked via text, Blakeman is off our Christmas list for not calling shady holding penalties throughout the entire afternoon.

Not looking good for Indy

Though Smith is known as a game manager, it is somewhat unfair to call Smith a total game manager. He is capable of attempting to pass the ball deep. In week 13 against the Broncos, Smith attempted 9 passes over 20 yards.

The Colts will have a tough time against the defensive line of the Chiefs, all three starters grade above +13.5 in run defense, capped off with the play of Mike Devito, who is currently the fourth-highest graded 3-4 DE.

The starting cornerbacks for the Chiefs will be Brandon Flowers and Sean Smith, with Marcus Cooper coming on when the Chiefs play their 2-3-6 personnel (Chiefs play 2-3-6, 46% of the time).

In a look at team pass rushing trends a couple weeks back, we saw the Chiefs’ linebackers ranked as the most effective 3-4 group in the league while their defensive backs were among the Top 3.

Just Because

Well, I’ve got a pretty good blueprint of one in my bedroom, so let’s assume it’s totally possible. If not, perhaps we need to go to the source: Obama. Could the nuclear football be grabbed from the president?

Need a QB?

Kansas City: Alex Smith's deal is up after the 2014 season, and for all of the gains the Chiefs have made, is Smith really the guy to get them to the promised land? Andy Reid was always drafting quarterbacks in Philadelphia, often higher than many thought he might, and he always has an eye on development of passers. If he saw a kid he loved sitting there in the second round, I wouldn't be surprised at all to see him pounce. Smith is being paid like a game-manager, not a difference maker, and Reid may need better than that to finally get that Lombardi Trophy.

Charles is key

1

After nine games, all wins, Charles is the Chiefs’ leading rusher with 725 yards and is also the team’s leading receiver with 47 catches, or 14 more than wide receiver Dwayne Bowe. Charles has accounted for 39 percent of the yardage (1,114) the Chiefs have gained on offense, and had 48 percent of the touches (217). And to this point, no player in the league has piled up more first downs than Charles -- 62 in nine games -- 21 of those on receptions.

Berry vs Thomas

5

And no tight end has scored a touchdown against the Chiefs this season. In September the Chiefs held the Cowboys’ Jason Witten to 12 yards on three catches, the same Witten who had 121 yards on seven catches against the Broncos this season.
