The Final Tally On The Robert Griffin III Trade Is In, And It's A Disaster For Washington

Washington got: Robert Griffin III (#2 pick, 2012) St. Louis got: Michael Brockers (#14 pick, 2012, via additional trade with Cowboys) Janoris Jenkins (#39 pick, 2012) Isaiah Pead (#50 pick, 2012, via additional trade with Bears) Rokevious Watkins (#150 pick, 2012, via additional trade with Bears), released in 2013 Alec Ogletree (#30 pick, 2013, via additional trade with Falcons) Stedman Bailey (#92 pick, 2013, via additional trade with Falcons) Zac Stacy (#160 pick, 2013, via additional trade with Texans)* Greg Robinson (#2 pick, 2014, via Washington) This is a perfect example of the value of trading down in the draft.

Remember this?

Interesting to look back at how the Texan faithful thought the season (and this upcoming game) would go back in June

Chiefs vs. Titans: The opening line

Steve_in_RI runs down the numbers on the Chiefs, who are 2.5 point favorites over the Titans.

Friday Night Updated Line Moves

The Chiefs, who were 4 point favorites (and 4.5 in some places) when last we looked, have gone down to 3.5 despite a solid majority backing KC. Some decent money coming in on the Giants. I still think the boys in red survive.

Giants vs. Chiefs: The opening line

The Chiefs are currently four-point favorites. More on that and other interesting parts of this Giants-Chiefs matchup.

Chiefs are 'dogs in Philly

Greetings Chiefs fans! After an exciting day, it is immediately time to re-focus and prepare for a nationally televised matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday night.

Oh Von

Let's all as Chiefs fans wish Von well as he gets some help for whatever this is.

Chiefs #1 in DVOA and Defense after Week 1

Chiefs performance rated higher than even Denver after the Week 1 blowout. Let's hope this continues!

Cowboys-Chiefs: The opening line

Greetings fans of the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs! Back again for our Week 2 installment of The Opening Line.

Chiefs vs. Jags: The opening line

Greetings AP. For the 2013 season, I have decided to bring back a feature I did for the 2011 season in which I analyze the Vegas line for the upcoming game every Monday.

Great read for those on the fence about Priest Holmes as a Hall of Famer

I admit, I am not a Holmes HOF supporter. But these stats tell an interesting tale of how Holmes stacks up using advanced metrics against every RB over a 22 year span. Hint: It's better than you might think.

Chiefs Super Bowl Odds Improve for the First Time

I have a few online accounts, with as my primary one. The Chiefs had been +4500 (45 to 1) since the odds first came out, but for the first time they have been upgraded to +4000 (40 to 1), tying them with the Miami Dolphins. This puts the Chiefs tied for the 8th best odds in the AFC and just behind the Colts who are at +3800. Point being, someone has been throwing some coin on our Chiefs

Deadspin's List of the Worst NFL Coaches of All Time

1 Chiefs coach makes the list and 2 make the Honorable Mention. Interesting read.

FO Cornerback Charting Stats

Brandon Flowers, to nobody's surprise here at AP, ranking among the tops in the league.

#16. Hank Stram

ESPN's continuing series of the greatest coaches in football history. Good read and a nice piece by Emmitt Thomas

Coaching Aggressiveness Index

Football Outsiders revisits their coaching Aggressiveness Index. Reid was fairly aggressive last year. Scroll down though and see where he ranks all time.

Alex Smith Becoming Leader of Chiefs

Interesting quotes from the offensive guys. I like that D-Bowe is very much on board.

Davis has 2nd fastest "Speed Score" since 1999

According to the metric used by Football Outsiders, Knile Davis' "Speed Score" is the 2nd highest in the database's history, ahead of guys like Chris Johnson and Darren McFadden. Interesting read and gives me a little more optimism about this pick.

What's your bold prediction?

So with this "unusual" draft upon us, what are some of the bold predictions that you foresee? Let's define a bold prediction as "a prediction that goes against what is believed by a majority, be it...

The current week 1 line for the Chiefs/Jaguars game has the Chiefs favored by 1 with an over/under of 39.5. Other notable lines: Denver -7 vs Baltimore Oakland +7 at Indy Houston -3 at San Diego

The Return of Steve in RI

Greetings AP. It has been a while! Steve in RI here. If you don't recall me, I was a frontpage contributor here for one season before my personal life and work life did not allow me to return for...

Quick Junior Hemingway report

Plenty others out there. Also injury prone but does have the "potential" tag on him in most reports.

"According to ESPN Stats and Information, last season Kansas City had one sack, two batted passes and three tackles for loss by its nose tackle"

We wanted a hole filled. If Poe beats these outstanding numbers and Berry returns to his 2010 form, look out world.

I love the pick... As I wrote recently in a fanpost, I was still very open to Poe and am glad it...

I love the pick... As I wrote recently in a fanpost, I was still very open to Poe and am glad it went down. If as many people here at AP trust RAC and Pioli like they say they do, then trust that they made the right call here. Judging by RAC's comments, this was who they wanted from the get-go and to me that's a solid sign considering his defensive mind. Despite the fact that we are all amateur GMs and know-it-alls, let's enjoy the moment and bask in the glow of an almost complete elite defense.

It's been talked about a great deal, but I'm curious as to what everyone thinks. There is talk...

It's been talked about a great deal, but I'm curious as to what everyone thinks. There is talk about Vontaze Burfict perhaps not even being drafted at all and having to go to the Arena league. What round would you approve the Chiefs taking a chance on him? I believe there are teams out there that will take the chance and I strongly feel like a team like New England is one of them. Whether the Chiefs are one is another story altogether. Thoughts?

I certainly realize the risks and he has been dissected here a lot. But is he worth a mid to late round pick, when (unlike Poe) there is game tape that shows a dominant player when he is stable?

Three for the Price of One

Draft mania clearly has AP in a frenzy, and while I have not been able to weigh in much lately, I thought I would chime in a few thoughts. This is just my take on having read hundreds of comments...

Vote for Dwayne Bowe for this year's Madden Cover!

He is up against Calvin Johnson in Round 1. He will need our help. Forget the jinx, let's get some new young Chiefs fans with D-Bowe on the cover!
