Pats Pulpit we all owe an apology

I was so pissed when we took Devin Mccourty in the first round.  I wanted and OLB or DE.  I also thought that Kyle Wilson was a better corner.  Devin has contributed more this season than any rookie I can remember. (plus kyle wilson has done nothing)  The way the league is now a team needs 3 respectable CBs.  I hope that we take another top CB next year.  I realize how worthless my opinions really are.  Let the professionals evaluate talent.  All of us here love football but we know every little as far as team building is concerned (ie cutting moss).  I encourage fellow pulpit member to admit how little we know.

Pats Pulpit Could Gary Guyton play OLB?

Gary Guyton is listed at 6'3'' ans 242 pounds.  He is also the fastest linebacker on the team.  Maybe now that spikes will hold down the middle guyton could move outside?  I also just found out that Guyton played OLB at Georgia tech in college.  The patriots seem to be in a situation where they are stacked at ILB at the expense of OLB.   With derrick burgess talking about retirement it looks like olb will be a continued problem for the patriots.

Pats Pulpit TE situation? Dallas clark envy

Maybe the pats are looking for a hybrid receiver TE.  A hybrid TE could get into the secondary with out routes creating mismatches.  Watson was fast but didnt have the hands to be a reliable ball catcher.  The pats seem to be saying "if we dont have a great TE ,than we might as well get cheap large blockers."  The patriots running game has not been great over the last 2 years. Maybe the extra help can open up running lanes.  The way I see it the pats have two options. 1) draft a fast hybrid receiving TE (this would require a top 4 pick) or 2) use TE as blockers and hope to improve the run game.
